Anyone know who the 'ringer' will be at No1 against Redcar on Sunday? Thanks.

Depending on who's available but I can see a decent meeting on track & hopefully the Newcastle track men make it deep & wet as Redcar didn't like it on Sunday gone & just beat Edinburgh

Also, dunno if it's been on here,,, Newcastle Speedway are putting on an exhibition at the Northumberland County Show 3rd June. Surely that's a first? Maybe Steve or some other tekky minded person could put up a link to it. Looks interesting.  :)

Probably the biggest festival so far to get the club promoted .. well done to the current promotion

The way it's going for James sadly at the moment he's going to have more metal in parts of his body than our former Newcastle & Redcar Adam roynon in his body.. These speedway lads love it tho & hats off to them

Well I paid for the stream but , quite frankly, wish I hadn’t. Not a reflection on the stream itself, which was excellent, but the dreadful performance from the Bears against a weakened Monarchs line up.

A 3 man team (one of those was a guest reserve) can’t win a meeting. Allen was a very poor guest, disappointed Edwards (after his spell at Edinburgh last year) seemed so far off the pace and the least said about Roynon and Andersen the better. Not even competitive.

Pickering aside, no one looked like passing anyone and most races were settled by the end of the first lap. Bears gating was generally appalling and they were way behind after turn 2.

Bears deserved nothing from the meeting.

The way Anderson passed me on the road back ( 15 point max on track ) with that sort of speed

Brown says in todays "star" repairs could take hours he and the ref didnt give them the chance.outside my house is a pot hole council filled in poorly so now i know its there i drive round it,same could have happened on sunday on the track!

I remember about 8 years back our former promoter/manager George English asked me to go to the 3rd&4th bend to dig some of the grass out that was growing over the kerb and spreading onto the track which was done & we ( the track team at the time went all the way around the track cleaning up the kerb area which was just below in some parts & level with track in other parts which at the moment yeah it's a bit worse but not what some of the people who have took it to the extreme on being dangerous on SOCIAL MEDIA..& even when Martin Phillips joined the promotion we even tried sorting out the drainage on the 1st bend then but as rob grant has stated in his update on track work ( in some part the drain is blocked which probably would need some of the centre green to be dug up to repair & how much would that cost) so let's give the promotion a chance to do there best for Newcastle speedway & hopefully get some more good racing at Newcastle this season

It would have been a temporary fix to complete the meeting safely and they need 2 weeks as you can’t put 26 tonne of shale on the track at once it has to be done gradually or are you now all track curators now cause you know nowt about laying a track

They may have 2 weeks but haven't got 14 days tho that's our problem.. I just hope the landlords give rob & the rest of the staff more time to sort out the track

Can't they make the graphics bigger? And sorry Sam, me thinks he's never been up to the TV stuff as the nerves always show. Simon Stead, Olly Allen would be good alternatives.

Josh Pickering is a natural & Jason Crump

    Good knowledge has Pickering

    Because it is.

So what's your excuse for the massive score that the aces racked up against your lot on Monday night then !!

I hate this comment, yes they are risking there lives but they are getting paid to do it NO ONE forces them to do it.

Just pointing out to some of the knackers on the page ( TTT ) who called our club & team crap but your point I agree with

Result as expected. Track very good but riders not wanting to go out wide when it looked ok to. Eventually they did and found it was good to blast around. Smooth, plenty of dirt and no dust at all.

Lawson off colour. Not wanting to do anything in one heat and sat at the back. Not like him at all.  Worrall superb. King good. Ben Cook good, Zac less so tonight. Kemp hit and cold. So hesitant in one heat, then blast around the opposition in his next. A confidence issue? Ablitt battled.

For Newcastle Howarth was good value but Starke was woeful all night. Think he might have blown his best engine. Rest were hot and cold but Wright did ok. Complin battled all night and had the race of the night with Zac Cook.

The meeting lacked tension due to the result never being in doubt. Tougher tests ahead.

So that's 3 blown engines for Newcastle in the last 2 weeks with lee complin last Sunday cleggy has had 2 blow ups since the start of the season & now Starkey tonight.. surly lady luck has to shine soon on the diamonds

Would've been spot on if Lawson done what he normally does.

Anyway it proves how crap your club is when you're on here trying to be smart about your team only losing by 26 points this week.

But but but your wrong on your predicament of the score tho & how can you call a club crap when the 7 lads sorry 6 plus a guest are risking there lives to entertain the public...

Why do folk continually have a go at the Glasgow Promotion because they have successful business?

I'm fed up pointing out that the Facenna brother financially support other ventures, such as junior football (equivalent of English non-league) and do lots for the community and charities.

Folk seem to forget the help they have given to injured riders from visiting teams and support to Team GB.

Too many green eyed monsters with tunnel vision.

Maybe the teams they follow would have more cash to splash if the total product offered was up to the standard offered at Ashfield.

Not having a go at Glasgow as they helped out my boy out last season... I just stated that most promoters / owners will struggle to make money at speedway unlike Glasgow & Poole who have very successful businesses outside speedway & if needed they could easy bail out the speedway side of things if needed

Can`t see the club being fined, track work has begun with the postponement of Newcastle`s next home fixture, probably at great expense to Rob Grant. If there isn`t an up turn in attendances especially what has happened in the last couple of weeks Rob Grant could be massively out of pocket.

I think nearly every speedway promoters are out of pocket with the exception of money bags Glasgow & poole
