Jeesis,,, ye still banging on about that???

Obviously last week everything was bad, even the referee, but still no complaints about the overpriced holiday camp lager from any of your lot!!! ;)

Also, a think our only available days were/are Sunday or Monday. So Monday option would be PL only and might have staffing problems although a think it could possibly be used as an off night if needed be.

    Not in the dark tho

Must admit I have seen worse meetings at Brough this year and I was surprised to see the extent of track damage in the pictures. It explains the number of first/second bend falls although that end of the track has appeared patchy all year. I don’t know if there were concerns about the track before racing began or not. But when the first call was made from for the clerk of the course to contact the referee Roy Clarke said “I wonder how many times we’ll hear that tonight?” it suggested something might not be right.

2 decent races in my opinion. Ulle going round the outside of Starke on bend 4 (the first outside pass I’ve seen at Brough this year) and heat 10 with Howarth and Basso passing each other before Wethers nipped up the inside to pip them both. Wethers does seem to be the master at getting underneath anyone who moves a millimetre off the white line coming off bend 4. Hope he’s not too bruised after his off.

I saw Cook talking to Wright after they got a bit close in heat 5. I was expecting fireworks - there weren’t any. Couldn’t tell if Craig was complaining or asking James if he was alright. All very civilised in the circumstances. Tonight’s updates do seem to have a slight hint of home bias.

Hopefully everything gets sorted next week both on and off the track. I suspect speedway needs Newcastle rather more than Newcastle needs speedway.

All cook said was you don't turn left down the back straight on me but I'm sure he done that on the 1st lap to james

The tractor racing was at its worst tonight but the meeting still finished about 8.45 which I didn't think was too bad!

"Phil Jeffrey doing a Martin Dixon on Martin Dixon" Love that comment.

Great to be reminded of Mark Thorpe. We shouldn't forget in the context of George Congreve, that it took Mark a long time to discover the quickest way round Brough and we all know how good he was after that "light bulb" moment.

Good point & with George having the full backing of Rob, Tony, Steve, & Dave tinning he'll be fine as he was well on the pace on Sunday with the new engine he has in the bike it was just unfortunate he came a cropper & had to withdraw on medical advice as he was a bit 2nd hand

I asked earlier… was told it was to do with Starke’s silencer! I imagine though as it seems issues went in after the race that not a jot will be done even if there was something!

Silencer was ok as the ref & machine examiner's had a look at & it all got a bit handbags at 50 paces ha when Gary flint ran to the phone but accidentally bumped into my mate & there was a few voices raised but that was about it

You just stick to looking at the updates and don’t bother giving an opinion on a meeting you didn’t attend, was plenty of passing, but it rained for 5 hours straight, so of course it’s not going to be normal track conditions, but that doesn’t suit your agenda does it

Let me get my fishing rod out & which little finger did you bite.. I couldn't attend due to work commitments so let's hope there's plenty passing at Newcastle tomorrow or as some may say ( rough park yawn yawn ) & hopefully bomber  misses the gate a few times & he chase for the lead unlike he did a couple of weeks ago as a guest for the diamonds
