    Play-offs

So since coming back from a long and painful injury you think teenager Spooner has underachieved by not beating Championship standard Greaves, Kemp & Morley v Young Lions and ONLY scoring 10 points from 5 rides away at Cradley!!! Rather than pick on Kent maybe you should check the form of your own team before they start the playoffs & cup finals, oh hang on a minute................

    Play-offs

Think its pretty obvious i was referring to league matches only. Whats it got to do with rose tinted glasses & Kemp/Brennan etc? Where am i comparing him to them? You said Rathbone would clean up the reserves i was pointing out that in fact Mulford was pretty good. If you like, how about Mulford average 6.85, Rathbone average at home is 5.71 & away 3.80. Not forgetting Spooner also at reserve, 7.11 average away & 5.50 at home. You still think Rathbone will clean up?

    22/09/19 N.L.RC Leicester.

Perks has to be favourite, Clegg is also on form & Morley has a habit of doing well in the big meetings & when the pressure is on. So thats my 1,2,3.

    Play-offs

Mulford has averaged 8.33 inc bonus points in his 2 appearances for Kent, not bad for someone with duff machinery. Spooner looked to be back to fitness at Cradley so if Mulford does ride home & away & Ledwith is back to full fitness the semi will go to Kent. If Kent have to go with a borrowed 2 point rider at reserve ( like most of the season so far) i think B V will just about win it. Im sure B Vue will say that Bickley is due a good meeting at Kent & i can't believe we will see the same Bailey as the last time B Vue were at Kent. All in all the tie is on a knife edge & I'm sure there will be some great racing. Im looking forward to the meetings with B V more than going to Cardiff tomorrow.
  5. Ive watched Drew at every Kent match this season & its true he does not seem to have the fire in his belly he had last year, that may be down to the pressure of riding in the main team at Sheffield more than not liking riding at Kent, he is of course still very young in speedway terms & will learn a lot from this year. I hope he returns for us because i feel the best has yet to come from him (sadly i doubt he will return though), Gilkes will not be going anywhere he is very happy with things at Kent & the supporters would go berserk if he went anywhere else! I spoke to Jordan last night & he is very happy at Kent & seems keen on his racing again. Mulford is nailed on (hopefully). Rowe i think will be No 1 next year, i don't think moving track will make any difference to him, he seems to ride well at every track. As for the others there will always be the end of season merry go round depending on averages same as every other track.
  6. Sings. You imply that none of the Kent riders are happy, what makes you think that?
  7. Sings. If you had realised HGould is an Eastbourne supporter you would have ignored this post like i did.

    KENT 2019

Wow i missed that one! Ironscorpion can you please explain what you meant by Jenkins not being paid. Where on earth have you got that from?

    KENT 2019

That was the way that i read it. Same as Spooner for Clouting.

    KENT 2019

He has got a 28 day ban. Will be back in time for the play offs though. Hopefully that means we have Drew with no other commitments, Jenkins back, Spooner back & Ledwith back for the play offs. Hopefully!!

    Sheffield 2019

Not according to the Kent management.

    Sheffield 2019

Great news for Kent. Kemp has been dropped by Sheffield & its too late for another Champ/Prem club to sign him. Brilliant.

    Stoke v Belle Vue 24/08

I was told by a team manager that in the NL each rider gets 1 tyre & he can only use that tyre in the meeting, he cannot swap with another rider. So if he is in heat 15 he will almost certainly not have enough tread to have an extra ride in heat 14! Work that out. Also i was told if a team has r/r they only get 6 tyres not 7 despite riders taking the r/r rides, this is even more bonkers.

    Stoke v Belle Vue 24/08

You can use a tac sub up to & including heat 14. Heat 8 is protected so no tac sub allowed.

    Kent v Mildenhall 26/08/2019

Yes he has been practising, but not fit enough to ride today so i doubt he would want his 1st meeting back to be away at a tough place like Leicester and if Kent win today they are pretty much guaranteed a play off place. Kent do still have an away match at Cradley & if they can run with a full team for a change i would expect a win there.

    Kent v Mildenhall 26/08/2019

Kent have Stoneman as guest for Ledwith & r/r for Jenkins, Mulford at reserve. Should be a comfortable win for Kent. Next Saturday at Leicester is a problem for Kent though. Kemp, Jenkins, Ledwith & Mulford all missing.

    Mildenhall v Kent 18th Aug

The chances of getting a rider to travel to a meeting on the off chance of getting a ride at no8 would be bordering on impossible,, which is why it is very rare to see a no8 in an away sides team . As in the case today at mildenhall a no8 would not have been used so would have had a wasted journey. Do chattin or Douglas live near mildenhall?

    Mildenhall v Kent 18th Aug

Where will Len get a No 8 from? Kent are struggling to get riders to cover the unattached 2 point position at reserve as it is let alone a No8. Not sure where Len is protecting Ablitts average has come from, he has stopped riding altogether! As for Mulford, he has been riding grasstrack & that includes today. He is down to ride tomorrow against B Vue that will be 4 matches & give him an average, so where the idea Len is not using him to protect his average comes from i don't Know, he would certainly have used him before tomorrow if he could.

BELLE VUE COLTS V KENT THURSDAY 01/ 08

He rode in the NL because his grandparent was British, that loop hole was closed the following season, to ride in the NL now you have to hold a British passport. Maybe he can't commit to GB because he is not British? Certainly if that is the case he would not compare to Bailey who is British.

BELLE VUE COLTS V KENT THURSDAY 01/ 08

Are you saying Wilson Dean is now a British Citizen? I thought that was the reason he could no longer ride in the NL (no British passport). Bailey has a British passport & is therefore British, probably dual nationality so can choose OZ or GB.

BELLE VUE COLTS V KENT THURSDAY 01/ 08

Fair play to all the riders for getting the meeting on The track was soaking. Great result for Kent.

    Leicester NL 2019

The accident involving Adam was caused by Joe carrying to much speed into turn 3 & as he tried to go around Adam he clipped his back wheel sending them both off their bikes. It was in no way Adams fault. Joe of course was excluded.

BELLE VUE COLTS V KENT THURSDAY 01/ 08

Been really looking forward to returning to B Vue for this league match as the cup was just a warm up. I genuinely thought we had a chance of winning, but sadly with it looking like Kent will only have 3 of their riders fit i will be hoping for a rain off rather than the match!

    Plymouth 2019

I think that is exactly Bowens point, he unlike allot of the other riders tried to RACE on it not just RIDE on it & he ended up picking up drive out of bend 4 putting him the fence thats why he decided if he cannot RACE on the track he would not to go out again. He, unlike 14 of the other riders had a choice whether to go out or not as he is not currently in a team therefore cannot get a ban!

    Plymouth 2019

Spot on BobC. I can't remember the last Kent match at Plymouth i missed & along with B/V its a track i usually look forward to going to the most (not the journeys), but something has gone drastically wrong this year to ruin it. I do think part of the problem is the promotion seem to be in denial. Bates praised 13 of the 16 riders who took part as if they didn't mind riding but i spoke to alot before the meeting & that was far from true. I think they need to admit there is a big problem & try & get a track expert in b4 its to late as it seems they have tried & failed.
