It's a puzzle, he looks fast enough and has a good style but just can't get out of the gate and looks tentative behind other riders. Was as fast as Worrall in heat 14 but kept hesitating into the bends which gave him no chance to pass.

Josh Pickering was sensational again, his race with and pass of Doyle in heat 9 was top drawer.

Rowe looked very good for his age at Somerset, but  not pushing on

I’ve often thought the track there has been pretty average (much better than Gdansk I hasten to add!). Saturday’s meeting was one of the most enjoyable I’ve seen this season though and the racing was top class!

It always seems such a shame for such a fantastic stadium that it’s only ever about a quarter full though for league matches?

The 3 times i have been to Lodz, crowds have been good

Perhaps Peterborough will go with both fans favourites Hans & Ulrich and MPT will go to Lynn, i would take BWD over Nicholls so that means

Iversen or Bjerre (which fits average wise),  Hans, Ulrich , Harris, & BWD

BWD will not be at Peterborough next year

Can't agree with that. When he arrived at Newcastle he could put the bike wherever he wanted on a track that not many can.  Liquid speedway.  Maybe red mist Nicki took over too often making him look ragged but that's his winning mentality. I think we only saw red mist Nicki once at Brough when Stuey Swales wouldn't let him past. I'd struggle to think of any more naturally gifted riders of the era. Gollob?  Maybe one for another thread...

For me regarding Gollob, the most naturally talented rider i have ever seen
