Long shot but does anyone have a Wombwell programme from 1947 ?  I'm trying to find out if the programme gave the track record (if so, then what was the TR during the season ? I've got 81.6 from 1931 and 79.6 from April 1948)

    Thanks

My earliest Wombwell programme in my collection is Handicap & Scratch Racing 23/06/1930, i have 5 1948 but no 47s

These rising stars of the future that seems to be creating the only  excitement ( god knows  why as they are predominantly cheap fill ins)  what age are all these riders ?     I’m guessing Ryan is around 22 so been at it a good few years.  Micheal Lee was World Champion before that age.  What was Robert Lambert achieving at 22.  ?

The 2 riders you mention-Lee & Lambert are totally different gravy. Riders like that don't come along very often

I’d agree in the UK they appear pretty much similar standard. Didn’t both ride in Poland in 2020 as well?

Only Anders rode in Poland in 2020, Kemp has signed for Gdansk, but will he get a ride as its very tough league to go straight into Polish first division

Get over yourself. I see you still think your mr important because you sponsor a couple of riders. You really are a melt.

Seeing as you are so upset, you best ring mr Bridger and tell him to stop telling fibs on the BSPA website  .

Thats where you are wrong again, i only sponsor 1 rider. PS hows the Strawberry picking going ?

Hes come back and been given an engine from A retired reserve to use. That kind of says a lot about how serious he is taking it .

No idea who you get your information from, and I don't care to know.

Lewis will be on two brand new rolling chassis, one brand new PJR engine one second hand 2019 PJR Zagar engine

Lewis only did about half a season on Jawas , and did at one point have a good GM. I forget who he bought it from but according to his mechanic it was a “ beastie” . When he was at Lakeside he had a manager that I got to know quite well and who was a moderating influence on him, but the old Lewis eventually came to the surface. I like Lewis, and always have done.  Would like him to do well, but I kind of feel the way he rode at Lakeside was the upper limit of what he can realistically achieve,  and coming back is not easy  so he might not do so well. It depends what’s expected of him. In what is now a weak league he might do a decent job in a second string role but I wouldn’t expect too much. I hope I am wrong.

The GM you are referring to was Jonas Kylmnarkopi engine. I understand he is back on Hagon bikes

I would like to think that Bridger has many less issues than Lee did.

Lewis will be on good equipment this time, not like the Jawas that held him back last time

Well he has signed for two British clubs so think you might want to change your opinion.

Slightly surprised that Redcar now have 4 ( Wright, Rowe, MPT and now Stewart ) doubling up riders possibly five ( Jenkins in the NL ) when speedway was supposed to be getting away from this situation. But not a bad team if they can capture a strong second string to finish the team off.

With the current travel restrictons he will not or ANY polish based riders can fly in to the UK & back to Poland.

Anders & his dad leave the for Poland early March. So i WONT be changing my opinion!!!

Klindt has signed in poland for division 1 team so that entitles him to ride in two more leagues signed in sweden & denmark so him signing for ipswich that makes it 4 teams 4 leagues ? unless the rule has changed can't see how he can ride for 4 teams ????

I think you are missing the point, how can riders travel from Poland to the UK then back to Poland with the current restrictions in place ??

Clever business by Anders although i can't see the wage limits being stuck too or Kemp being happy getting significantly less. Fortunately there are plenty of ways round it. Strong side for the Witches once again.

Thinking about it, if Kemp is the last signing, i feel he will stay in the UK & not do Poland.

Lets be honest, would he get a ride for Gdansk ? IMO he his not ready for polish 1st division where Anders is smart doing another year in the 2nd division

If you want to make a football comparison, then the closest to Speedway would probably be the National Conference league, which attracts crowds of around a thousand. The only admission price I could find was St Albans, who charge £18.
