Worrying thing for me is that we have riders who are underperforming, yet are not even under pressure. Peter Adams says theres no point making changes for the sake of it and while there is some truth in that, they need to be seen to be doing something, rather than just putting up with this rubbish.

Another terrible capitulation from Wolves.
-
To be fair Lindgren's average was dropping in 2011, 2012 and 2013 with the older format. It's just dropped more noticeably this season.
-
I did say MAJOR cash. I'm not sure the likes of Wells, Thorssell or even Lindgren would make a particularly large profit if the club decided to cash in. Pedersen maybe, but can't see any club buying him in the current climate.
-
The other problem is that when you look at the retained list, it's riddled with riders who are either coming towards the end of their careers, or have found their level. That isn't helped by basic team building errors which often see riders riding in a position higher than they should be. Peter Karlsson for example is still capable of holding a second string place, but should not be riding at number one. If we're being realistic, the only two assets who would generate major cash should they be sold and that's Woffinden and Pawlicki.
-
Quite a few of our assets are a tad past their sell by date. There's a staleness about the place at all levels. Added to a promotion who are set in their ways in terms promoting, team building and race tactics, it's difficult to see much light at the end of the tunnel.

I notice Pearson says the stadium is packed. In that case well done to the fans on the back straight who've come disguised as grass........- 592 replies

That brought a smile on a rainy day 😁 In all seriousness though, it's the logic Adams and Van Stratton would see. However, like most of their logics, it's about 20 years out of date.
-
Wolves probably wouldn't run on Wednesday as it clashes with Birmingham and Cradley.
-
The only way merging the EL and PL would ever work is if it was done on the Premier League's terms, which would be a further weakening of the product. Far too many like to peddle the myth that the Premier League is a well oiled machine and that all of speedway's problems are in the Elite League. Reality is that all three leagues have fundamental flaws which need to be sorted.

Very stop start so far. -
A farewell to Cardiff lap from Hancock there??

I think the 2010 track was better in that there was more overtaking for the lead. The dominance of gate 1 has taken the shine off it, but I think it's been decent overall.
-
The racing hasn't been the best, but not the worst either. The problem is the gates simply allow for advantage when you are on the inside.
-
Track is rubbish. Gate 4 an absolute graveyard.
-
Certainly needs more than the annual reshuffling of the assets.
-
They were pretty bullish in March (although they had to be I guess), but I was certainly never fooled by the bright start. Peter Adams made a quote along the lines of "even when we have a poor season, I always console myself that we're a season closer to getting it right".
-
Surely Adams and Van Straaten can't still be entertaining thoughts of the top 4 after this disaster.
-
Nothing has changed with regards to the track preperation. The track on Monday was prepared superbly and should have lent itself to some very good racing. Sadly we are not seeing it. I don't think it's any coincidence that the standard of racing at Monmore has never been the same since the introduction of these silencers. Prior to 2011, it was must see entertainment. We finished bottom in 2008, yet in terms of entertainment, the racing was excellent. With the drop in attendances has cone the drop in atmosphere. I've been inside Monmore Green when the atmosphere for matches with Coventry was raucous. It is now so tame from a Wolves perspective.

I heard one or two boos for him after heat 13.
-
5 heat winners so far out of 14 tells it's own story. Rubbish yet again from Lindgren.
-
Show a bit of commitment Lindgren 😠
-
One positive for us is Tobias looks a real find. Very encouraging tonight.

Lindgren fell asleep there.
