I see the live stream has been canceled due to problems with there van - or do they not trust the Norfolk weather

Hardly surprising.  They had repeated issues with messing up the streaming last year. Said ages ago streaming speedway matches is a stupid idea.  Get rid of it and get fans in the stadium instead of in front of their laptops.

If Lindgren wanted to ride here I am sure he would be offered a place at Wolves.

Not saying they wouldn't.   My point is that another club in the UK offers him a better deal, then he wouldn't think twice about giving Wolverhampton a two-fingered salute and going where the better money was.

I had to spend a night in Old Hill nick for an altercation I had with a Cradley woman who was built like a sumo wrestler. She started mouthing off,and I said shut the f..k up stupid c.. Anyway then it all kicked off, with about six Wolves fans and around 20 spoons.        The police came, and the Cradley lot said I started the scuffle, and consequently I was marched out of Dudley Wood .          I pleaded my inocence but still had to spend a night in the cell to calm down. .Yes,at the time I was angry, but looking back those were the days to be treasured .

I doubt many Wolves supporters miss matches with Cradley at all   I went to a handful and they'd developed a real sinister side to them (not helped by both clubs cashing in on the nonsense by having them race each other endlessly every year.  Hardly an advert for "a family sport" is it.  They should have been banned from racing each other long before Cradley closed.

It’s not a new regulation though and hasn’t been bent in the past. We lost Freddy and Jacob Thorssell to injury in the 2017 semi-final (against BV) and had to make do with Chris Harris and RR for both legs of the final against Swindon. Why should Belle Vue be treated any differently?

From the club that a year before disgracefully sacked a rider to bring in Woffinden on a fake average just to win the league?!

At what point point did i rubbish belle vue. It doesnt have the capacity to hold 20000 fact.

There is no infrastructer at belle vue. Its miles from the city centre and very little to do before the meeting to make a day of the premier event in british speedway.

I'd call that rubbishing it.  None of the above is relevant.  Speedway is about RACING.  Belle Vue provides it by the bucketful.  Cardiff hasn't produced a single decent moment in 20 stagings.  End of story.

Having reflected on the whole cardiff 2022 experience im amazed at some of the comments on this forum. No we are not going to tottenham or the o2 as they are premier league clubs who do not want there ground digging up for a one off motorcycle event. I attended wembley three times and yes 1981 was iconic but the track in 75 and 78 was awful. Built around the football pitch where riders didnt know whether to turn left or right and was an absolute dust bowl. Yes there maybe of only been 19000 on saturday but please explain how that amount of fans get into the nss. There is no infrastructer at belle vue. Its miles from the city centre and very little to do before the meeting to make a day of the premier event in british speedway. Lots of things played a part in this years low attendance, fuel costs, train strikes etc but as a british speedway fan im proud to say i was there for my seventeenth gp to watch dan bewley produce a bit of magic. Also i dont remember bomber moaning about the track rutting up in 2007. Costs buy a cheap ticket mine was 22.50 and had a perfect view. Hotels forget it student accomadation en suite 30 pound a night. Food and drink there are seven spoons in cardiff . Doom bar 2.49. I work in a four star hotel. We charge 4.90. Shop around . Cardiff is here to stay and thank god because it is the best weekend of sport if people would only stop knocking it. One down side . Why could we only find one british reserve on sunday. Poor effort.

Increasingly baffled as to why so many on here are so desperate to defend their precious Cardiff that they'll rubbish everything about Belle Vue  - 1 of the best things to happen to British Speedway in the last twenty years

However, I haven't complained nor did I go this year,  so I still fail to understand your initial response.

My point was that not all Speedway fans are just interested in the racing and nothing else, some are also interested in the social side, the experience etc and some like both but know that temporary tracks (or even permanent ones, I've been to more bad meetings at permanent tracks than I care to remember) do not always produce great racing but hope that it will be different this time.

Speedway fans come in all shapes and sizes and like different things, it is not one size fits all.

N.B When I do go to Cardiff, it's the one day coach from Ipswich and disabled with a free carer seat which doesn't exactly break the bank and is certainly not a King's ransom. Massive amount of fun on the one day coach even if it absolutely knackering.

Fine for the tourist speedway fans.  The true speedway fans despise Cardiff.

    Get rid of it.

    Respectfully, in what way? Why?

For running a Speedway related website or because I wanted to go or because I enjoy the social side alongside everything else?

Anyone who just forks out a kings ransom to watch the same rubbish every year is a fool.  I've no sympathy with anyone who complains about Cardiff.  It serves you right for going

Have they finished rebuilding the city centre? Last time we were thereit was a demolition site and Arndale was run down and decrepid with only about 50% occupancy.

Cardiff is a much nicer city centre.

Then the stadium itself. Asides from a good track it has nothing to reccommend it for large international events: the catering and hosptiality are not sufficient to handle anything more that a league match crowd and it's miles out in the middle of suburbia with virtually no hospitalitynearby  so one needs to get back to the city centre and there is only an evening bus service that is incapable of handling a full capacity crowd.

I repeat, speedway fans could not care less about how many pubs are in the area, how many museums are close by, what the catering and hospitality is like.

They go to watch exciting racing.  You haven't had that it this dump in two decades.

Bin it.  It's pants.  Belle Vue MUST be granted the GP next year.

I must respectfully disagree, some will only go for the racing, some will only go for the experience and some will go for the experience, expect a not too exciting meeting but hope against hope that things are different this year but still tend to enjoy the weekend. I fall into the last category, however, I believe my speedway fan credentials are pretty good otherwise I wouldn't have spent the last 17 years running a results website for it!

I had planned to go this year, unfortunately ill health and too many beggers wanting holidays at work put paid to that!

    More fool you then.

There might have been no overtaking but Bewley was quicker from the gate than the rest and earned his great win. As for the City I reckon the people who live and work there are glad you never went back as well with an attitude like that.

I wouldn't go back there if you paid me.  Dreadful place, astronomical prices, nothing to do in the city.  Manchester is a modern, vibrant city with a superb race track.  Cardiff belongs in the 70s.

Speedway fans couldn't care less about atmosphere,  flashing lights and prematch "entertainment"  They go for the racing - which year after year after year is garbage.  The place is utter embarrassment to British Speedway.

The sooner someone grows a pair and sticks the Cardiff contract in the shredder, the better.
