I had a similar thought in my head, although i was thinking there is maybe an airfare to be saved or something like that.

Another reason maybe is diesel is a bit hard to come by around Lynn, so if that's the case around other parts of Norfolk as it is in Cambridgeshire that could deter a few. I was considering whether to go Speedway or saving the fuel for work if it's still scarce.

Lebredevs would be extremely unlikely to come to the UK  I’d say - Hellstrom Bang or Hansen on the other hand are younger and need experience of riding in the UK could give them - I’d sign Hellstrom Bang he a fighter and a crowd pleaser he reacted well with the Belle Vue crowd he young and keen he’d be an excellent signing .

The Mrs already has a nickname for Bangs, Cillit it is

Don't get too carried away, just like the centre green presenter after heat 15, Belle Vue took their foot off the gas towards the end of the meeting with 4 points comfortably in the bag.

I'm not getting carried away just saying how I see it I'm trying to find the positives of out of a home loss.

  4. Yep i was there on Saturday, there was something happening on track all day, apart from track grades. During track grade time there was a motorcycle stunt team performing on the centre concrete or drift cars. There was a fair in the main car park together with a monster truck that the public could ride on. Around the perimeter of the track inside and outside the stadium there was trade stands mainly geared towards speedway and grasstrack. The event was very well organised and I would like to think the organisers would have been pleased with Saturdays attendance.

With 9 heat winners i am a bit disappointed not to have got at least a point tonight. On the upside Kerr getting 4 wins is hopefully a return to form for him.

Hopefully 2 changes for Lynn for July to makes us really competetive. If say we had Riss back for Proctor and Douglas for S.Lambert that would do for me.

Who was that practicing at Lynn Monday?

Jake Mulford young Norfolk grasstracker, got a lot of potential

I think Speedballs plan would work if all the other teams in the top flight announced their riders at the same time, so all teams announced 1 rider at exactly the same time as each other. As it stands the way this off season is going we probably know the rest of the riders for the Stars from who's been signed for other teams so far, with the uncertainty of will Niels be in the team or not.

Yes I’ve criticised how the club has announced the team this winter - but in Speedball case it’s a definite plan in the clubs case to me it’s been a muddle along make up as we go along  winter . take yesterday new team sponsor and Toft announcement the same day if it was to max out media coverage why announce both the same day ? It’s whats been said by Trees for one max out media coverage so two bits of news on the same day bet Poltec not too pleased .

They sure are  !!    You even get moaners, moaning about  other moaners just for the sake of it....    If you decided to forego a match and stay at home to watch the football  ,   I'm   sure the club would benefit by knowing the reasons why,    so next time they will be able to make a more calculated decision when fixtures clash....

Give me constructive criticism any day.     Negative opinions are far more beneficial than those always blowing sunshine up the Clubs A- - e .    We fans,  like nothing more then to be kept in the picture of what is going on.  .   The majority of problem arise because we are ignored.

NB.   Because of a Hospital visit yesterday,  I noticed a large sign, advising Road Works on the ' Pullover Road'  and the A17 / A47  Roundabout Junction.     spread over a period of 6 wks from the 11th of June.     There were no specific dates of actual work, but you can bet they will coincide with the speedway meetings.   But at least we have been warned and can go the back roads  levitating any holdups.

So easy to make decisions when we know beforehand.....

I think you'll get in ok via the A47 but will have to detour home. The quickest way has been to go back to the pullover roundabout then on to the A17 then take the first left to Tilney All Saints, when you've followed the road through it's a right turn onto the old Lynn road and back onto the A47, adds about 5 mins onto the trip.

Any advice re  road works on roundabout? Got properly lost the other week trying to get back on A10 to Cambridge. Diversions took us up A47 towards Peterborough. Sorted eventually but not pleasant experience.

Saddlebow roundabout opened up properly on Monday, currently no other roadworks

think starman and lisa have to understand the difference between rider parade, practice laps and a hot lap,did either of you ever go to the Ace of Aces? after all the rider presentation before the first race the top six names came out for one flying lap for a prize, think it was called the backaurene!!or something

If its like the Poacher up in Lincolnshire it's possibly the bahnrekord which I believe roughly translated from German is road or in this case track record

  10. In an ideal world, I would simply scrap the 'doubling up' rule except for British riders under 21, but to do so it needs a larger rider pool than exists at the moment.

To avoid the Kennett and Nicholls scenario, it would make more sense in the short-term to allow British riders to double up, but riders from other countries to be barred from doing so.

I'd probably go with allow any riders to double up/down if Britain is the only country they ride in. This would protect riders like Doolan etc. who are loyal to British speedway but don't ride in foreign leagues. British riders could ride in both leagues if they wish even if they take part in foreign leagues.

  11. I agree with previous posts that it will be a big surprise to see Holder back at Kings Lynn.

What on earth is going on there though, not so long back Kings Lynn was a very popular and seemingly we'll run club?

Now they can't seem to get the track right, the riders are not happy and I used to be a big fan of buster but why does it always have to be the case that you think the right man is in charge and then he changes and causes so much trouble for himself and the club.

In his position he in my opinion should have nothing to do with a club, I'm amazed holder didn't get a 2 month ban the way he speaks about him but with out actually naming holder. What ever you think of what happened last week, if there is one rider who won't risk getting injured is Chris Holder and I can't blame him. He has been effected by Darcy's crash and these bikes don't need any excuse to start lifting in a corner. On a track where the dirt hasn't mixed well and is patchy grippy then slick why go out and risk being out for weeks. Why has it become so hard to get a track right?

To come out with the statement why tonight's meeting was cancelled is not very professional, not something the head of British speedway should be coming out with. A way to annoy many riders I'd guess, but these guys want to race speedway not motocross. We as fans want to see racing not riders trying to get round 4 laps without falling off.

Sad to see and I feel for kings Lynn fans.

If the promotors feel it's ok to race on then let's see them hop on a bike and do a few laps.

Bikes need changing to a larger flywheel as they used to be to give less revs and more torque, then they will be able to deal with a deeper track and ruts without taking off.

  12. He looks like he doesn't give a s#it! There has been a change in his attitude over recent times.

Whether that has to do with his personal life I don't know. But I'd put money on the reason He's still riding in the UK is because of his young son.

I've always liked Holder, but He's behaving like an Aussie brat like so many of the others.

I'd been hoping that one day Chris Holder would ride in the Stars colours ever since the day he had some exhibition rides on I believe a bike of Crumpies, you could see the potential then. How disapointed and disallusioned am I now in his attitude together with the management of the club. I've followed Lynn from boy to man but there needs to be some big changes in management and riding personell for me to go again this season

Nothing wrong with Speedway at the moment.

Just certain riders from one team refusing to ride.

Only reason they refused to ride because they thought we would be a walk over after the night before and then we were leading after Heat 8.

Why didn't certain riders walk out when Lynn were leading after 3 Heats if the track was an issue.

Only wanted track work to be done when we was leading after Heat 8

Did he not refuse to come out in a race to[/quote

Kai still won a race after the drama to prove that he was still determined to win.

Yep mainly that one rider you think is god so if we have still got a team next year and a grippy track, which is how I believe racing should be,with Chris Holder riding for you, you know what to expect half a team in action at Lynn because the Prima Donna's don't like it.

  13. Sorry, but the track wasn't waterlogged, it had a solid base, admittedly, the top dressing was wet, but was drying out, the riders were to blame for this farce, the main protagonist being Shlein, and the rest of the sheep followed his lead..

We've all seen speedway start with wet tops, once you've had 3 to 4 races, the shale gets turned over and dry lines appear....

Every man and his/her dog thought this would go ahead, in this instance, the riders were to blame.

The base must have been 6" under the slop on the top then because even the tractor couldn't get round without sliding. I wouldn't fancy the bikes being able to turn so Rory was right.
