Polish Horror Crash On Sunday-they Both Walked Away
Stoke Potter replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
And then you get into the definition of "under power"! Surely that means having a workable bike rather than just the engine running. i.e. a bike with the engine going but with a chain off should not be deemed under power. -

Indeed there are and you're evidently at the front of that particular queue. -

And the other 2 managed to miss him even though they were closer than PK. Harsh on PK but ultimately the correct decision, had he not hit him the race would've continued. -

Total rubbish. The bike failing did not stop the race. The race would've continued if PK hadn't hit him. -

Rider in front has the right of the track! -
Keep it going? On lifesupport? Not very good at it then are they.

So you're happy to listen to and agree with, the very people who, for the most part, have got the sport into the state it's in in this country? Slight flaw in the logic there I think...
-
You're not the only one who thinks that.

Not when interviewed with a microphone under his nose he didn't! And moaning about fans is a completely different issue, what's the connection? None.

I think it was summed up on here quite nicely last year when someone said he had a total lack of class. Exactly right! The more you see of him, the less you like. Swearing on tv last year, great move! How often do you see the likes of Rooney swearing on tv? Never, and there's very good reason for it. TW doesn't put any bums on seats, no loss, let him go. The British fans should find themselves another hero.

No doubt Plymouth shutting is also David Gordon's fault!

The inference from that BSPA statement is the SCB would not withhold a track licence based on concerns with the suitability of a tracks' surface: "An official SCB track licence was only granted on Friday as it met the necessary requirements in terms of track dimensions and facilities including safety fence." Sounds unlikely to me that no account is taken of the surface when inspecting a track and issuing a licence?

Who told them to cancel it?

Despite what the "experts" on here said, there's now viewing on the first bend! Well done Belle Vue! -

Thanks for the info. I did check the website but it showed an open date during that week as you say. I just wondered if there were any plans at all for a meeting then. -

Any meeting planned for the W/C 30th May, which is half term in many parts of the country? -

I agree that the size and shape of the track is all important and I hope the stadium & track do turn out to be excellent. Surprisingly enough I do have my tickets for the 1st meeting and I wish Belle Vue every success. However, no viewing from the first bend does strike me as an issue. I genuinely hope it's the only one and that everything else is perfect. Out of interest does anyone what the details of the covenant are and why it exists? -

If it really is the case that there is no spectator viewing on the 1st & 2nd bends then that is a screw up, but is it? Is there actually a limited amount of space for fans to watch from the 1st/2nd bend? I've been watching for over 30 years and I would always stand at the end of the straight/start of the 1st bend if possible as it's where you get the best views and most action. -

Thanks for the info. So you won't be able to walk around the first/second bend to get to the back straight? -

Does anyone know if you can watch from the bends at the new track, or is it just on the straights?
