I think Eastbourne have been very fair about this. Their website has also been very clear about the options for season ticket holders and those like city rebel who have the ten-match version. Eastbourne have said right from the outset when announcements would be made about season tickets/10 match but on each occasion they have offered a refund to those who needed the money back. However, they have said a season ticket is now for 2020 and 2021 -- any meetings this year would be a bonus for season tix holders and the 10-match version can be spread across the two years. Here is a story from their website which sets out everything: https://www.eastbourne-speedway.com/eagles-statement-season-and-10-match-tickets/ Speedway clubs owe it to supporters to be open and transparent, especially when people have paid upfront. As a season ticket holder, I've now had a letter from Eastbourne. Can't say fairer than that.

Yes, for private practice

Exactly - stadiums would need to control people leaving + telling people to get out of the car park and not chat

In terms of clubs not wanting to race this year...nothing else intended or implied. On Glasgow thread I praised the club owners for the open and honest way they dealt with situation. Best not to risk finances and try and come back in 2021.
-
Glasgow probably first domino to fall.
-
Leicester and Scunthorpe are two I know of. Numbers limited...social distancing etc. Strict rules They are not open to the public.

Have you seen the avatars Eastbourne have done for their riders. Richard Lawson is a cracker. They all brought a smile to my face and it is something a little bit different and fun where there isn't a huge amount to smile amount. Nice work by someone in the Eagles eyrie. I'm not one to sing the praises of Glasgow but on this, I will. Full marks for being upfront and honest.

First news of any public speedway on UK will come from SpeedwayGB follow them on Facebook and or Twitter. also keep checking Kent website and social media.

greyhounds behind closed doors looks to be a goer. Not worthwhile planning for speedway at the moment
-
Thanks for that. Didn't know those fine details which are, in fact, pretty important. On the face of it FTA and FTV might seem to be the same and just a technicality of name but there is a hell of a difference, as I can now see.

Suspect you are right about the car park..borough council owned??

I live in next-door county (Sussex) and often since pandemic it has been Monday or even Tuesday. Better this week: Friday. You are in the hands of Royal Mail, of course, and – as you said – most of the current content doesn't date. To be honest, I haven't completely finished the previous weeks issue. Waiting for a rainy day -- but we don't have them because speedway is not running.
-
Royal Mail appear to be all over the place at the moment.
-
I think Mr Godfrey maybe a tad optimistic. One issue could be the quarantine regulations on travel which haven't even started yet, as far as the UK is concerned.
-
Nothing definite...it is just talk at the moment. Authorities hope to get something going. Govt. has not allowed public gatherings, as yet. When they do, the number of people allowed in the stadium will be critical. The other issue will be - will people feel safe?
-
Will the premiership start on time?

Vaccine is by no means a given. We cannot stay in this state of limbo forever. It is time for stadium owners to get on the front foot and announced how they will safely re-open. Otherwise, we could be in this lockdown in 2022. There is so little Covid-19 in the general community that the scientists don't know if the vaccine works because not enough people have the coronavirus. -
Edited for accuracy

Didn’t know that. I will inquire and see if anything comes up.

It also seems as if TPT puts money in SS with their multi-page supplements advertising their tours. Not unreasonable for an occasional editorial mention.

I think if you rode for the Eagles..you are are 'in' and welcome. He's certainly (obviously) on the list of ex-Eagles. Pretty certain they have not managed to contact everyone as yet but from what I read all are welcome. Some might be interviewed etc but it's not a deal breaker for those who want to ease back into the place. I'm sure Chris S. could come and be feted or just come and enjoy quietly. Breath of fresh air as to how Eastbourne are treating their former riders. I've read in the past of clubs who want their former riders to pay. I think that is a poor show. We often see Gordon Kennett around the place and he often speaks to fans when interviewed by presenter. He is always very positive and encouraging. Steve Weatherley is a regular too Fans like to reconnect with the riders from the past and I for one am waiting for the day David Norris is talking to us again. >>If you know Malcolm Ballard, do tell him. I stand with a chap who still waxes lyrical about the genius that Malcom was. He would be in heaven if Malcom B put in an appearance again at Arlington.
-
Chris Schramm is a former Eagle and thus will be very welcome at Arlington, if he wishes to come -- as are all former Eagles team members. The ex-riders association has been formed.

Got it now folks. Bit slow on the uptake

Oh, well I am a sensitive soul.

But I don't know the case. Very mysterious
