BERWICK v POOLE (Championship) 7pm, Saturday May 4th

Fantastic ride by Borke in heat 8, but deserved win for Poole in the end. Pickering very hit and miss unfortunately, we’ve been lucky with Lawson recently, and he proved that tonight. Well done Sam Hagon, brilliant meeting from him. Track seemed awful, and completely different to other meetings this season. Kemp let us down, but could see he wasn’t interested after a shove from his teammate in heat 5. Hume inconsistent, Jye average, Schlein lacked speed. Well done Poole on the win.
  2. Poor planning by Redcar surely, to have Workington and Scunthorpe as their first four home meetings

    Oxford Cheetahs 2024

    Brennan does
  4. Where’s Mr Blobby? Where’s Mr Barrie? How many points are Stewart Dickson’s Bandits going to win by tonight?
  5. Too far from NJL? He’s rode Championship level before hasn’t he? Certainly guest bookings.
  6. Well it was either you or Dennis…

    Workington v Redcar 20/04/24 3pm BSN

If Poland want you, you go to Poland. Do you want to work for £10 an hour, or £60 an hour tomorrow?

Riders should think about that before letting their clubs down then shouldn’t they? I’m not talking about Complin here, but the Morris scenario you are alluding to.

Who’s available to replace him for the season then? If he’s guilty. I know the Glasgow promotion will no doubt be furious if he is!

Because the team manager has confirmed that all riders are fit to ride? And so therefore has lied if he’s signed the form. If a rider 2nd in the averages that hated a particular away track tested positive, and was replaced with RR, the team would be better off, in what way is that fair to the complying team? There’s no easy answer, don’t get me wrong, but you can’t class it as an injury, or missing for riding for another team imo.

But Glasgow, and obviously any other team who have a rider who fails a test trackside, deserve to be punished on the night.

Flint’s wheelies in defeat used to anger a lot of the Bandits fans I’ve spoken to.

Yes they aren’t allowed to say it’s a failed test. Same with Barker, Worrall, Boxall etc.

I love reading the Glasgow fans trying to pretend he hasn’t failed a test. The blinkers are on.

It’s strange as Complin is known for going round the boards… all I can say is he’s clearly been taking the inside line.
  19. A wind off when wind speeds are 30mph, and gusts are 50mph per met office… That’s a bit of an embarrassing call off, when you had a good crowd in last week. Punters will soon fall back out of habit.

    Championship Predictions 2024

Agree with that, plenty Shielfield experience in the Glasgow team.

    Championship Predictions 2024

Susceptible to home defeats can’t really be made an argument when we’ve only kept two riders from last season, one of them being Etheridge who is renowned for being at his best at Shielfield. Hume has scored well at Berwick for the past 3/4 years, and Borke’s now recorded his 2 biggest scores in the UK at Shielfield, along with Hodder who was nigh on unbeatable in the NL at Berwick, and extremely impressive against Workington. I’m not saying Berwick will go unbeaten at home, or even necessarily make the play offs, but they certainly shouldn’t be losing as many as previous seasons.

Berwick VS Workington - Border Trophy - 30/03

How does that mean the track length has changed? They’ve moved the start line back five metres, so you ride 5 metres extra at the start, and 5 metres less at the end of a lap/race.

PR disaster. Only female in league sacked.
