Lakeside V Poole Ela. 8/04/16
Rob VDS replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I dunno actually I saw someone on twitter recommend he get counselling and he had known of lots of riders do the same. Would kinda make sense if it is connected to his accident? This is all speculation of course -

That is exactly what golf is good for, whether down south or 'oop' north. Perfect for taking your mind off things. Although it can be intensely annoying at the same time 😁 -
Pirates Vs Roobins, Ela, 25 Mar 2016, 12 Noon
Rob VDS replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pretty sure he wanted to come up but was convinced rightly or wrongly to stay there on the assumption he'd move up anyway when the averages change. Hence poole have the situation where Newman will be replaced by either Kurtz or Watt. In any event this is a huge season for him and will give a better idea of where he stands in the British rankings -
Peter Craven/grand Opening
Rob VDS replied to Trevor's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
One thing for sure, Poole will never be regarded in the same way as Belle-Vue, they will be remembered for something different altogether. May tonight's meeting be a huge success, with much more to come. So how's that working out for you BritPete? I can't believe this has happened tonight, can we assume that no one has put in any serious laps on the track before tonight? If that's the case then it really is a shambles. I'm not one for slagging of anything speedway but the sport really does not help itself sometimes. -
Coventry V Poole Es Second Leg 18/03/2016
Rob VDS replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pretty sure no one expects them to go unbeaten least of all Poole fans. From what I've read and heard we look to have strength in depth, will be difficult to beat at home and will be there or thereabouts away. -
For once we actually agree 👍
-
For me it's competitive nothing else. A lot depends on whether Chris can get back to his best. If he can then yeah Poole will take a bit of stopping.
-
Another nasty piece of work aren't you. Who are you to say someone's opinion doesn't count.
-
Just making an observation that there are some nasty bits of work on here that's all. No high horse at all. Lol the old multi user name gag. I would welcome a moderator to check if I have multi user names. Are you able to prove I have multi user names? Just out of interest who else do you think I've been?
-
It's they're And there you have it, within 15 posts or so the OPs point is vindicated. And it's the same few every time that do their best to turn things nasty but with no moderation it's to be expected.
-
Very pleasant. Thankfully posters like you are the minority on here.
-
To be fair he asked whether you were. From what I recall it was a fair question at the time. For the record I have no issue with SCBs use of the word, it's been one of those words used in banter for years now despite having connotations with mental illness. When I was a kid 'flid' was the insult of the time until we realised what it meant

Don't see why this is so important to people to be honest. Poole couldn't fit him in, he obviously considered taking the year off but changed his mind. So what? Are we that short of discussion points?
-
See the usual dregs of the forum are out in force today. Why on earth would he lie about that? Maybe he was misinformed? Maybe Dak changed his mind? Maybe Dak lied to him? See? All sorts of alternative explanations but these don't match your agenda do they? Think you'll find the majority of poole fans wanted him to stay despite his up and down form and for me he should be first name on the team list every year
-
Boll**ks. Your post came across as nasty however you intended it.
-
Isn't it those riders returning with an average of 6.50 or over?
-
You really have a large chip on your shoulder don't you lol. Look as a poole fan of course I want our promotion to put out as strong a team as they possibly can, goes without saying. What I would love to see is other promotions raising their game and not, as you say, 'let poole have what they want'. Sounds simple I know but that's what will improve the sport in this country, not Poole dumbing down to give the others a chance.
-
So are we saying then that just because someone is named on the hl list doesn't mean they will start the season as hl? In other words Ford wasn't lying in that Buzz will start as hl but wasn't on the hl list. Finally starting to make some sense. Stupid way of doing it though.
-
I saw that. I took it to mean it was Poole actually. Why would he be stoked if it wasn't Poole? Assuming my understanding of stoked is correct 😆

I do agree with this. Garrity has the x factor giving him the ability to not look out of place in a quality field as he proved in the British Final. If he can curb the kamikaze side he's got, he can be huge. Kyle for me is the one I'd have in my side (possible Poole bias!) mainly because you know what you're going to get. Doesn't mean I think that at his best he's better than Garrity, that's just who I'd have. Both of them can give British speedway a massive tonic if they can keep developing.
-
While it was Garrity's choice to move up (and fair play to him) I'm sure I saw somewhere that either Havvy or one of the promoters weren't particularly chuffed with his decision which I can understand. Wish him all the best though.
-
I never said he said it I was merely commenting on your suggestion that the Poole promotion should be asked to clarify Mick's alleged comments. Simple. Anyway as far as Bees team so far for 2016 it's hurts me to say signing KK will once again ensure Cov will be there or thereabouts at the play offs. With a bit more luck maybe even winning it. If that happens you'll have to feel for Hans especially if Cov beat Poole to do it lol.

8 posts above. Do keep up.

We're not talking about Neil, I understood it was Mr Horton who made the comment?
