    Yep, MPT scored more than his 5 point average (who works out the averages anyway?) and he used to beat main riders as well!

     

    I think you've got a good one there and if he turns out as good as MPT then all the better, but still a little way to go. At least he's got age and brains on his side compared to when MPT rode for Belle Vue.

    Development of British riders over developing non-Brit riders. The thread I got the info re BV & Cov was the World team under 21 qualifier where Brit team seems to be struggling.

    So was finding out which promoters are seeking to develop Brit riders and which were simply there for the glory of winning pots.

    No conclusion drawn yet, just trying to suss the situation out.

    Surely it's every promoters job to put out a competitive team or they won't get the fans through the door. Yes it would be fantastic if there were enough british riders to spread out amongst the EL and PL but there aren't. Having 2 is a good start as has been said but where are the others coming from?

    Steve Worrall has been in great form and showed last week how good he is on your track and was able to beat riders in the team e.g Holder, Ellis, Pedersen & Kurtz. It definitely doesn't weaken you.

     

    I think Poole would still get the win either way now Swindon are weaker at reserve again, however I don't think it will be by much, definitely wouldn't be as confident as Lisa is with her big predictions. If the tracks like last week then the Robins may surprise some.

    Not speaking for her but fairly confident Lisa was being ever so slightly tongue in cheek. If anyone is over confident on Poole's behalf it's their no 1 fan Gavan

    Completely agree. Crazy that Masters delayed the start by minutes against Coventry on sky and yet not excluded yet Cook makes a good start and is excluded without warning. Hans made the same start and nothing done. 🤔

    Surprised how bad Newman is looking so far. Miles behind and not beaten anybody yet

    To be fair his first meeting back after serious injury and he's up against Nicholls, a flying Cookie and Zagar, can't expect too much in this one.

    I don't think we will lose tomorrow (unless I have missed something and we turn into Coventry overnight!) but I think Wolves could keep it within 6.

    I hope you're right! If kyle and Adam were riding I'd feel a lot more confident to be honest but we'll see.

    A bit of a hiccup for the Pirates last night,,

     

    According to some Poole fans (well at least one) they have gone from EL favourites to mere also-rans..

     

    With four heatleaders and the best pair of reserves in the EL, Poole remain massive favourites !

     

    Don't let any numpty tell you otherwise.. :t:

    With 2 of the 4 heatleaders barely scoring currently and 2 of Pooles best performers potentially facing extended lay offs I don't think I'd necessarily agree with that. I can't see this Poole side winning many meetings on the road and even at home I can see a couple of defeats, including tomorrow. The big guns have to start scoring consistently but at the moment I can't see it happening any time soon.

     

    Hopefully I'm completely wrong 😊

    The difference is he has been off form due to personal issues. Could have been signed off like Dakota North was sort his life out and then comeback. Still poor form then get rid. Watt must look at North getting time off and think why cant I be treated the same.

    Fair point. Trouble is as has been quoted already, delaying it further would risk his average dropping thereby making this switch impossible so I guess Ford's bitten the bullet and made the decision now, probably aware it wouldn't be hugely popular

    I don't see your point? It can be both.

    Surely if someone is such a "terrible" rider then any team who has such a rider in its ranks could be forgiven for replacing him?

     

    What your fellow Bees fan is saying he's rubbish we don't want him but how awful of Poole to replace him.

    Where did I on another threat say he was a good rider? Please show me. I have not criticised Poole for letting him go, I have provided a link to the echo where Watt moans about Poole not giving him a chance

    Lol. It's April 27th not April fools. Watt is a terrible rider and I can't imagine many clubs wanting to signing him. He should take up golf instead of speedway. Much more relaxing 😂

    Yet on other social media you're criticising Poole for treating him so badly lol make your mind up

    Oh dear, The fans could have told Ford that this was the rule. I guess he was hoping that nobody would pick up on it.

    Again I would point you in the direction of Alan Jones posts. These seem to imply that using Robson was permitted under the rules as they stood but the committee decided, probably correctly, that this was a silly rule and blocked it.
