  1. Mateusz, am I right in assuming that Gdansk are not in the top division, and that Zorro is staying at the level he has ridden at this season in Poland? Dave T
  2. I have just found this on a Polish Speedway site. So it would seem that Zorro has left Stal Gorzow, and signed for Gdansk for the 2008 season...................at least thats what I made of the translation (online translator ), maybe someone with a grasp of the language can comfirm I have got the right end of the stick................over to you, Mateusz
  3. Many thanks Bob, it's greatly appreciated Dave Thompson
  4. Is there anyone out there who can provide me with full details of the Wolverhampton Predators -v- Somerset Giants British Academy League match held on 30th July. I would greatly appreciate it if some one could supply me with scores, heat details & times for this match, which was won by Somerset 18-16. Many Thanks in advance Dave Thompson
  5. I take it you were watching from the back of the beer tent then ? ..............at least you got one bit right !!
  6. Time 14:20hrs For anyone travelling to the Pairs from the Exeter/Devon area & beyond. The M5 is currently queued up on the Northbound carriageway from just north of Taunton, back to at least the Wellington junction, and beyond. I don't know how far it goes back as I came off at Wellington on my way home.............the queue is probably over 10 miles long So if you can, think about another route.........A303 maybe. Obviously all the 'A Roads' in the Taunton area are very congested Dave Thompson
  7. They put the start back to 7:45 Shawn, couldn't leave it any longer due to the curfew @ 10:00pm. You obviously arrived in the rush of people who got there as the traffic started to flow again. It wouldn't have been as bad if the Police hadn't have closed the road between the two rounabouts either side of the stadium, because of an accident just up the road by the big roundabout. They wouldn't let people through to the arena & were sending people through Burnham, and when they got to the other end, they wouldn't let them through there either. That was until Mike Golding went and pointed out the error of there ways
  8. Anyone attending the OTA last Friday will have seen that the building of new turnstiles have been started. Mike Golding has told me that they should be completed by Tuesday (tomorrow), and as far as I know, will be in operation on Friday. The existing Ticket Office will be moved out into the car park, and will be used this Friday (22nd June) to sell advanced tickets for the PL Pairs meeting taking place the following week. On Friday 29th June, the day of the 'Pairs', this ticket office will open from 3:00pm (15:00hrs) to sell tickets for the event, allowing anyone arriving early to purchase a ticket and take the opportunity to enter the meeting via the 'Advanced Tickets' gate, thus avoiding the queue to pay at the Turnstiles, when the gates open. Not currently sure what time the gates open, as the 'SUPER7EVEN' website appears to be at odds with their own advert on the BSPA site *UPDATE* It now appears that 'SUPER7EVEN' have now got their act in order, and both the website & advert say the following: Gates Open 5:00pm Autograph Session 6:00pm Parade 7:15pm First Race: 7:30pm
  9. Save yourself a sleepless night Pompey, I have just thrown the Live programmes from the Eurosport Russia site into a translator, and all that's on around the time of the GP is a stage of the Tour of Italy, Day 1 of the Istanbul Rally & Beach Volleyball...............but don't get excited, as it's only the men's version...............unless of course that floats your boat
  10. Paul Fry's benefit meeting, which was held over from last year, will now take place at Somerset on Friday 23rd March (7:30pm) this year. I haven't got any further details as yet, but I will keep you posted as & when they become available. Personally I hope as many people as possible will attend to support Paul, who has provided some exciting racing for all the teams he has ridden for over the years. For me he has been one of the best "racers" around for years, and I hope for a few more years to come yet *EDIT* Please note the date change for this event
  11. Just heard that Sergei Darkin will replace the injured Loramski, for Paul's "Fry Up" tonight....................so come on & get your butts down to Sunny Somerset & support a great bloke tonight at the OTA
  12. I have edited the first posting in this thread to draw your attention to the date change in the fixture list.........I hope this doesn't cause those wishing to attend any problems

    Plrc - Line Up

Well done to Zorro..............he's been superb for us all season, and deserves the win. Let's hope that this is not the end of the silverware on its way to the OTA this year.............fantastic start.
  14. Anyone got any results from tonights European Championship Semi-final at Wiener Neustadt, please.................can't find the results anywhere
  15. Many thanks for that
  16. Please Gem..............this is a family forum Very big crowd? much better than a standard league meeting?..........Perhaps 500 more than usual ...........sorry Steve, but that doesn't sound like a very big crowd to me. If you only get 500 to 800 a week, then yes 500 extra would constitute a very big crowd..................but to only get 500 or so extra on a normal Poole league meeting, for a meeting like this!!...........No not a very big crowd at all

Indianerna - VMS Elit, Heat 11............David Ruud, Gating Tart ?, I think not,..........great ride.
  18. Any idea why Katt is first while scoring less than Lindgren. Also Wölbert is listed as 15th but has 2 points more than Werner.Arnio is listed as having 4 points on the inspeed site and Wölbert with 2 points only.Where did you get these results from as it is hard to know who is correct Edit. Found these results on Sportowefakty which seem more accurate Neustadt <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Iris, Katty was the winner because the top four scorers raced against each other in a final, and he won that race...................Well done Stephan
  19. On March 20th the Dutch Open Championship takes place at Dohren.......GERMANY? Does anyone out there have any details of the possible line up, and what time the meeting gets under way (Afternoon or Evening etc ?). I would appreciate any help with the info Cheers
