Colin really seems like a Pratt.."it wasn't us it was them"... really???...this management team seems like it really wants to lower the crowds and excitement at our club. Let's have this great team so everyone buys a season ticket then lower the budget and swap some riders around...pretty awful.

That's right blame Ged now he's gone no wonder he pulled out when he did can't say as I would blame him for that he could see what was coming. Now the puppets have got to paper over the cracks by announcing a rider who has never really pulled any trees in the top league, good at championship level but a replacement for Craig  Cook in the premier league is a joke I feel sorry for all those that were conned  enough to buy a season ticket.

For years speedway fans have yearned for a Barry Hearne type figure to grab the sport by the short and curlies and sort it out. Now Buster has sort of half done it (or what he believes is a more professional image) some fans are up in arms and shouting riders should rule the roost.

You can''t have it both ways so make your mind up before the door finally smacks you on the bum!

The above is only half jesting BTW

I don't see how you can relate Buster  Chapman  with Barry Hearne  or where you can get your comparisons from  I will just put it down to you being a Chapman idoliser and he can't do anything wrong in your eyes.

Had it not been that they had to explain his absence from P&P most likely we would not know  even now

They must have known  about this problem at the fans forum on Friday but they couldn't even mention there was a problem with Craig  Cook, again I repeat its not the lies we are being told it's the truth  they are holding back on, Colin Pratt and Carl Johnson are not my idea of promoters they are just Chapman's puppets and do what they are told to do.

Well i said a while ago i wanted no part of Chapman's circus, and this fiasco has confirmed my initial thoughts. Mildenhall only for me this season, Chapman won't be getting a penny of my money ...

Totally fed up with all the Chapman deceit and the way he thinks he can get away with it ,   what a shocking embarrassment on press and practice day you have to announce that your top rider will not be riding for the club , how much more of this rubbishe are Panthers fans supposed to put up with, I also have noticed they have secured Europress  on to the sponsorship advertising board again , with all the damage that has done for the sport especially at Peterborough  Chapman couldn't have insulted supporters by getting this excuse on board . I have recently renewed my supporters club membership , what a waste of time as I am now withdrawing my support totally from the club and want no involvement with this shambles. Mildenhall could well be my next venture as I wont be supporting anything that has connections with Chapman.

Maybe they were offered a bit more as the team sponsor at the time was willing/looking to assist to get riders signed up, then Buster didnt like it so put his foot down and by upsetting Ged he had upset the team sponsor as well, Ged left and the team sponsor followed so the team became over budget due to the loss of the extra cash

    Maybe Just Maybe

    Now your getting closer.

3 riders at Peterborough were offered no1 money (Harris , Andersen and Cook) by Ged. At no time did Buster agree to this which led to Peterborough being over budget. Ipswich had room left in their budget for a rider on No1 money. Maybe all 3 were asked to move and Harris agreed to as he would be on same deal. The other 2 took a possible decrease to allow Tungate (who would never be at Ipswich for various reasons) to sign......

    Maybe

    Allegedly

Don't people see that there was a six week gap between Harris signing for Peterborough before the decision was made to axe him being just a little bit suspicious and losing Ged through this has also cost them the main team sponsor as well who had already pledged to a continuation for 2019.

Haha, I believe the saying is...….. Don't believe everything you read in the papers. I think there is some reverse engineering going on

Spot on , it's just a cover up for the truth  , part of the deal is Rathbone and Watson must remain tight lipped and not tell the real truth and Chapman now thinks everything in the garden is rosy , I for one don't believe that there is a great deal of difference between the Harris and Tungate  potential earnings this move was more for the benefit to suit Ipswich who had a problem finding a suitable NO;1. Sorry Buster Chapman I don't buy your bull 5hit.

my understanding from Ged is that he will be around but in a much reduced capacity

It would be nice if those in a responsible position with the club made a statement confirming one way or another if Ged  Rathbone and Neil Watson are still promoters or not , it cant be that hard , or is there a dark secret in there that at the moment is being hidden to save some kind of embarrassment being publicised. Then again perhaps it's just down to ignorance and/ or arrogance.

Sorry to put a spanner in all your hard work but Cook and Tungate should be the other way around for Peterborough as Tungate starts the season at No: 1

Surely Cook should be NO;1  by his actual average and Tungate   should not be classed as No;1 as his average is below Cook's , my understanding is the 2.5 % reduction is for team building purposes only.

I have  reason to believe the team was not as expensive as many people think. Further there may well be a lot of regrets amongst the triumvirate.

Then you have to equate that against the fact they have lost team sponsorship from T.Balfe    as well as other sponsors and maybe now the team is more expensive than what was desired. Getting new sponsors interested can't be easy and to lose the main sponsor after they had already agreed a deal for 2019 must be a real blow for the club , just hope they can find a company that are willing to back them with a sizable deal otherwise the future after 2019 will not look so bright  premier or championship for Panthers.

    1. A new team sponsorship has been agreed thanks to the contacts of Colin Pratt. Announcement once formalities are complete.
    2. There will be an announcement regarding Ged and Neil once all those formalities have been completed.
    3. Yes fans deserve to be told what is happening regarding Ged and Neil and will be. Pretty sure Ged may say something in due course too.
    4. Cheer up.

Did Buster Chapman mention to you about the no holds barred interview with the Peterborough Evening Telegraph he would be doing  after his return from New Zealand or has he conveniently  put it to the back of his mind and hopes all fans will forget about it just like he has done

So who IS sponsoring the Panthers this year? Looks the most expensive team of all three of Busters teams,  but I guess it doesn’t really matter? Lynn have new sponsors, Ipswich have Tru Plant putting their cash back in, so I guess it’s all for one and one for all

I do hope they come up  with some sponsorship deals as its looking pretty thin on the ground in that department having already lost T.Balfe  who had already agreed to 2019 sponsorship Stephen Lambert transport who also brought in a lot of money to the club via his hospitality guests and they have also lost Motive owned by Ged Rathbone which did not come as a surprise.  As yet no official announcement has been made with reference to Ged  Rathbone or Neil Watson  leaving there positions as  promoters ,  I do think Panthers fans are entitled some explanation as to what is happening but won't hold my breath.

So Tbalfe aren’t continuing sponsorship then.

Panthers fans know nothing, our management whoever they may be don't think we should  be in a position to understand what's been going on and as long as we turn up for home meetings and pay our admission fee  . Then everything will be just fine.

Wow, this thread took a nosedive!

Back in the top flight where you should be, solid looking team capable of challenging for honours, stability in ownership along with an old hands Promoter who knows the sport inside out. Granted, communication seems to be somewhat lacking at this moment in time but reading this thread you'd think the Panthers were about to shut up shop.

It's not the fans who have created this atmosphere, it's  the non existence of public relations from the management who seem to think giving fans the mushroom effect  is the  latest fashion trend

T Balfe no longer team sponsors

I can't say I am surprised that T Balfe has withdrawn there team sponsorship , hardly surprising when we supposedly have 3 promoters who don't communicate with each other and do not even communicate with supporters at social nights,  sounds like all 3 promoters have been gagged and only the lapdog team manager is allowed to make official statements after they have been verified  by Chapman .

The best way to sort this out is for the club to make an announcement on the official website, or is that too simple ?

Strange that we have 3 promoters that fail to communicate with each other and the team manager is the only one making official club statements. It gets more like a Whitehall farce by the day .

I fear we will not hear from Ged or Neil again. It is almost unbelievable the total disregard for the paying public shown by the Mafia and the seeming contempt in which we are regarded.

They will still expect fans to turn up and pay there entrance fees just like nothing has changed , yet nobody has got the balls to let us know just what's happening , and that's sums up the state the sport is in, we are treated like dumb idiots who should turn up and just hand over our money.
