Spot on what a great read agree 100%

Any land in the south east available today is brought by house builders theres little hope of building a stadium for speedway where its used mid april to september by say 1000 people once a fortnight
Dosn't work ! Belle vue have had cash injection by council this yr to keep running
-
Problem is just that
The longer the break from end of season to next season people drift away and forget/find something else to do
Is more like end of march till end october
Im not that old
-
Its crazy that the cut off dates have moved so far forward over the years?why?
Speedway used to run up to end of october with fireworks to close the season, imo i used to love watching them october meetings under the floodlights wrapped up in my winter coat and hat

Yes final meeting should be at arena essex
It holds so many different events thou its hard for lakeside to fit in with them, landlords have no interest now it is sold so its sad but leaves lakeside with limited options

The bmr promotion made mistakes but have or did have some really good ideas
Example a app for phones/ tablet which would go live during the meeting so younger fans can join in the action
Myself being young compared to average age of speedway fans still prefers a programme but most efl clubs this yr voted against having to produce a programme
-
Self interest again running clubs and also being apart of the bspa
Its like the chelsea owner sitting in the head fa chair? Dosn't really work

Rye could not vote as promotion need to be running club for 3 full seasons
-
The bspa should be held accountable by forcing clubs to ride on FRN and signing a poor tv deal with bt sports

-
If they can make it work on a sat night whichever league its a plus rather than 2 clubs finishing next yr
Its positive whatever they call themselves
These lakeside meetings will gauge the interest between both fans before then

Once the bspa are removed from speedway should move forward in 2019, it can't keep being run by clowns like godfrey/chapman
I have been told there are four clubs at mo that want to breakaway from bspa and they need at least 8, lets hope godfrey becomes chairman at bspa, if he does other clubs will follow(and race friday nights if they like)

Lack of communication from promotion is poor, people make plans then they will inform everyone lastminute.com.
Expecting the fans to just up then wonder why crowds are falling
Promote the meetings
-
If the 14th September is the last meeting at Lakeside before moving, i would thought Mr Cook should have informed fans to promote this and also relay information on the other remaining home fixtures and location?
Track staff have been informed there is a speedway meeting on sat 15th at rye house

Lakesides last meeting at arena essex fri 14th sep then start at rye house soon after
- 1
-
The crowd normally consists of riders family and friends
-
They just use the speedway track but with diff bikes(brakes and gears)
Its a event setup more for the riders than fans , not many fans lasttime i went but lots of riders paying £80 each to race
Prob take £3000/4000 with riders money then food drink on top if that
-
Dont know?
There running a flat track meeting there again tomorrow
-
Godfrey does what he wants, not nice person and is as bad as chapman
Hopefully the bspa will cease to exist one day soon then speedway might have a small chance of moving forward imo

I would like lakeside to finish the season on a high being a essex lad thats supports rye h but has a soft spot for the hammers
-
If some super fan wants to waste money, he/she can crack on, speedway hasn't moved with the times and i'm sad to say as a young supporter(40) its game over
-
Maybe if moved to rye h on a sat night between both clubs they might get a good crowd?
-
Lakeside will end up racing home meetings elsewhere before the end of this season, i heard thou a friend at work
How true it is?, i don't know but he is normally quite reliable
-
Don't think its good business decision sending fans through the tolls/traffic, to a stadium that has a very limited availabillity/ poor curfew time?
I think rye house would be the better option imo, the racing is closer too the crowd aswell than kent and lakeside
-
I think lakeside will end up racing at rye house this season or next imo
Lakeside Future In Serious Doubt

Rye house had really good crowds in 2017 but on sat night if them levels come back in the championship to watch lakeside that would be more than enough
