The only thing that’s important in all of this is surely that a rider has been seriously injured. Plus another rider pretty bruised up too. And perhaps it’s lucky it wasn’t worse than that. All this ‘my dads bigger than your dad’ stuff on here is cringing and missing the point. British speedway needs to learn from this..

Some interesting comments from Danny King about tonight’s events on the Lions website. Certainly makes the Polish way of testing the track conditions beforehand seem possibly the right way to go. Accidents in speedway sadly will always happen, some testing to minimise risks when conditions look iffy makes sense.

Leicester v Poole SGB Premiership A. 9/4/18

Must of been in the last fortnight then, because I attended press & practice day plus the Somerset match and it looked just the same to me -
Leicester vs Somerset Monday 26th March Challenge
Mr Bump replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Definitely agree RR does us no favours, reserves taking 3 of the 4 rides. Really good crowd though, Pieszczek excellent, Andersen even better plus had a nifty orange light on his bike which is a first! Decent start. -
How will Martin Vaculik fare in the U.K.?
Mr Bump replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree. Also very pleased he’s chosen to ride for us and not against us! -
True. Maybe our supposed pre-season challenge match could be against Sheffield though. That would be fun.
-
Was wondering that too. With Leicester riding mainly Monday nights it’s possible. He’d be a very busy boy though! All will be revealed this week anyways.
-
Andersen it is. Happy with that! Half decent team for a change. Roll on the new season.
-
Or maybe we’ve convinced Lebedevs that this time we’ll sign him & actually give him a ride?
-
Or maybe we’ve wangled it to fit Zagar in. He’s top around Beaumont Park. Hehe
-
The signing will be a “high-profile” one according to the mercury....
-
Certainly hope you’re right about all this, otherwise as signings go this is a bit of an odd one! Suppose though the future of Josh Bates could have a significant bearing on all of this too
-
3.81 going off his 2016 finishing average? Doesn’t leave us an awful lot for the last rider if that’s the case.
-
Total cobblers then.
-
He may well end up back at Lynn. Was not a happy bunny at the end of last season though with the Lynn promotion, you never know he could be looking elsewhere. Worth a shout.
-
Completely agree. Maybe a punt on someone like Robert Lambert as 2nd heat leader? Rides Beaumont Park well.
-
Thought Georgie Wood looked very comfortable holding off Danny King in the Sheffield meeting. No idea of averages for a chap like that though. Latest signing being announced tomorrow.
-
The mighty Les Collins?
-
Any way you look at it, it’s going to happen. Possibly.
-
Total cobblers
-
Well we are being treated to some exciting news about something, sometime this afternoon. Blimey
-
Yes indeed. Heard he's going for the third heat leader spot at Workington.
-
Kim Nilsson has signed to ride again for Vagarna in the Swedish 2nd tier next year. I believe they race on Thursdays, which would make it tricky for him to fit in with us next season if this fixed race night thing actually happens?
-
When/where is this conference thing? Anybody know?

Relegation And Promotion Play Offs
Mr Bump replied to flagrag's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I'm going. It's my hometown club and I enjoy the buzz of a speedway meeting. Regardless. Hope some others are too!
