    David Howe

How many meetings before David Howe replaces someone? Any guesses for where?
  2. Speedway28

    Peterborough Panthers 2017

Are Peterborough still having their first meeting next Sunday?
  3. Speedway28

    King's Lynn Stars 2017

Good to see Bailey get the role. Would guess any of JPB, Mountain, Hume or Danny Phillips could share with him. Can't see it being Kinsley.
  4. Speedway28

    Buxton 2017

It's clear to see that Perks won't ride the whole season from reading his statement in comparison to Pipe's.
  5. Remember Adam Roynon starting out in his first year at Mildenhall. Had an awful crash, clipping a team mate coming off the fourth bend breaking both wrists and that was just the start.

    King's Lynn Stars 2017

Kinsley couldn't get round Mildenhall last year so can't see him moving into Premiership. Think it will end up being Bailey but they're just hoping someone pops up.

  8. Copying the thread in SGB Championship League, what do people expect from their sides in 2017? Mildenhall Dan Halsey- Should retain his average, possibly even improve slightly. Danno Verge- Think he'll find it tricky to begin with in the top 5 but he did well at Mildenhall last season, so expect him to at least hold his average at home. Connor Mountain- All depends on how well he recovers from his serious injury. Experience in the Championship will help so expect improvement again. Luke Ruddick- Tough going last year but looked like he may have turned a corner when dropped for Bebee/Jenkins. Sounds like Mildenhall are putting lots of effort into helping him off the track so his so far unfulfilled potential has a chance of showing this time out. Jon Armstrong- Clearly not just in the side for his points but his leadership of the youngsters. Didn't seem on top of his game but a lot of personal issues last year so will hopefully at least maintain his average this year. Sam Woods- Best option out there available at the moment. Expect one of him, Ruddick and Verge to make way if Bebee makes a successful return but looked ok when guesting against Eastbourne last year. Jordan Jenkins- Where to start? Fantastic few performances last year, massive potential. People will go to meetings just to watch him. Will be averaging between 6-8 at end of season. If Mildenhall can keep top 3 and Jenkins fit all season, they should comfortably be in play offs. The expected Belle Vue team sound like favourites, wouldn't rule out Eastbourne either.

    The 4's @ Peterborough

Don't see the issue here, it's ages away? Surely it's better to wait and work out a date when the best riders are available for their sides? Enjoyed the individual last year despite the poor format so would prefer that to the NL Fours. Think that would get more on the gate too.

    Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick

Drury has definitely been caught out this year and without changes, I can't see this team making the play offs. A lot could depend on Cupitt and Hay this year.

    Plymouth 2017 N/l?

Would be very concerned for the Plymouth promotion with the team they're putting out. Compton and Boxall have never been known for their reliability. Hopefully the admission price structure will still get fans through the gate. The location must be incredibly difficult to attract riders at National League level.

    Peterborough Panthers 2017

I will be attending some meetings at Peterborough this year off the back of his performance that day. I think he'll do really well at home once he's dialled in, maybe not so great away. Don't think he'll ever reach his brother's standard but will certainly be a decent rider.
  13. Speedway28

    Mildenhall 2017

Jenkins will average 8 around Mildenhall next year without a doubt. Might not be as great away but he'll certainly do well. Like the signing of Woods, he looked like a trier when he made a guest appearance last year. Hopefully some good guidance from Jolly and co will get him, Verge and Ruddick improving. Play offs beckon if they can keep that side fit for the season.

    Tai Quits Team Gb

Rubbish. The difference between different countries and their preparation is huge. In my opinion, Tai is only trying to make British speedway better by doing this. As much as we all say we'd ride for our nation if we were in their position, there's no way a single poster on this forum knows the whole story. I applaud Tai for having the b******s to come out and express his views and stand up for what he believes in.

    Tai Quits Team Gb

I believe that Tai has done wrong by not riding in the British Final last year but I don't believe he has done anything wrong by quitting Team GB. With regards to the British Final, I can see why he pulled out due to the scheduling but I'm sure there was a way he could've fitted it in. I fully understand why he has no intention of riding for Team GB again. The professionalism is clearly nowhere near the required standard to win the title and let's face it, GB only got silver last year due to how well he rode and a little bit of luck. I'd actually quite like to see him go and ride for Australia, could be some great finals between Oz and Poland if that happened.

    Mildenhall 2017

I have a feeling Parker won't be number seven. Decent side though, shame that Coles had to leave but one of the top four had too. If Mountain is fully fit he should improve further. Verge should score a few everywhere he goes, he improved a lot last year. If it doesn't work, I'd expect Bebee to take his place if he fully recovers from his serious injuries. Ruddick is definitely worth the risk on 3.10 average. From the press release, he has Connor Coles' mechanic from last season working with him in 2017 so sure that will help him improve.
  17. Speedway28

    Mildenhall 2017

If Mildenhall have two of Ruddick/Parker/Spooner at reserve they won't get near the top half. Jenkins will be at Mildenhall if he can turn down Birmingham and Eastbourne. Can't see him anywhere else. Where he is based and Sunday racing will hopefully help Mildenhall's case.

    King's Lynn Young Stars 2017

Great signing for Lynn in Hampshire. He came on leaps and bounds at the end of the season and I fully expect him to put at least two points on that 3.00 average. Mildenhall weren't in the wrong by not giving him a chance earlier, Bebee and Jenkins were miles ahead of Hampshire in terms of progress when they got their chances. Shame though, would've been good to see those three improve over the season but good luck to Taylor at Lynn anyway. Also, no chance you'll get Connor Mountain. He'll be straight in the Mildenhall side when they know he'll be fit. Halsey is likely to be available?

    Speedway Agm

Maybe so but I don't see the problem with allowing them to ride here in both leagues. I'm sure there's a few who might think about not bothering if they only had one team.

    Your Team For 2017

Anyone already know who the first Mildenhall rider will be? Due to be announced on Saturday. Going with Coles or Armstrong. Maybe Jenkins at a push.
  21. Speedway28

    Speedway Agm

Wish people would stop moaning and just enjoy the sport whilst we have it. At least they're trying to make an effort to improve things. And for all the people questioning the riders that want to double up, and want the rule quashed, do they expect people like Sam Masters to come over and try and make it pay with just one British League and maybe Denmark or Poland? Just enjoy what we have.
  22. Unbelievable that people are moaning at Eastbourne. Eastbourne are clearly within their rights to prevent Brum using Shanes. Like Drury wouldn't have done the exact same thing!! Can't believe he's not spotted such a basic rule.
  23. Speedway28

    Stars V Eagles.

No chance that this meeting will take place. The amount of National League fixtures that haven't been run is shocking.
  24. Speedway28

    Your Team For 2017

No significant reason really. I just think if he was going to be at Mildenhall, it would've been a done deal already. Maybe it is and they just haven't announced it yet but I would've thought they'd announce it straight away.
  25. Speedway28

    Your Team For 2017

Think that side could be near enough right. Really hope we keep hold of Jenkins but I believe he could be Eastbourne bound.
