    Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?

I can recommend the British Semi Final at Scunthorpe DVD. It's like a collection of the best heats in a season from most other tracks but all in one night.

    Harris

The thread has backfired, most responses are positive, which is a good thing.

    Harris

Chris Harris is 15th in the WORLD Championship, that's not at the back, he's in front of thousands of others.
  5. I'm sure Hancock had a Tigers race suit on last night, wonder if he'll be in the team at Scunthorpe today.................

    Tai Woffinden

All sports have people that swear on camera, they swear for different reasons. I don't know why Woffy does it, I believe he doesn't care if people don't like it, but it won't do him any favours. Lindback was awesome.

    Redcar V Scunthorpe 7/7/16

I was there too, it looks to me like Lewis has yet to settle in the team and because they haven't had many meetings since his signing it appears to be taking a while but he's not had a real chance yet, i like his style though. I thought Alex Davies should have been rider of the year 2015, he was on it later in the year and quite often appeared to be the one to get some points when the rest were struggling, so when he has sorted out what's holding things up right now I think he'll be great, do I recall he was pretty good at Redcar last year or is that my rose tinted specs? Wilko for me is awesome one heat and mediocre the next (i've never ridden a speedway bike so don't know why that happens) but undoubtedly a Scunthorpe favourite. Not sure if Josh B has ridden at Redcar before but he looked unhappy with things, Dougie Josh A and MPT were impressive, thankfully. "You know what I was thinking coming home ?; is our in game management the best it can be ?; do we plot our way through the meeting as a team ?; surely we do ? or do we ?. For example Alex and MPT in races 10 and 12. Did they not agree before the tapes went up which one of them was taking which line ?. Reason; they both dived on the inside and actually mucked themselves up in my view. Surely one should have gone for the switch inside and the other attacked it from the outside. But is it that simple ? who knows ?" As for the ingame management, i too wonder if anyone speaks to each other during the meeting and even sometimes they look like they are racing their team mates. Who does know ? Maybe the Bears would like their guest to be a permanent team member, he certainly made a difference. The wooden spoon is ours but it's obvious it won't be for long. It seemed like the tractors had nearly as much track time as the Bikes and came out early to move the dirt before heat 4 when Josh was due to ride, or is that me being a bad loser.......

    Redcar V Scunthorpe 7/7/16

I will be there supporting the Scorpions, hope to see the same sparkle they had on Sunday. Hope the track is not waterlogged, I know it can be affected by a spit of rain.
  9. It is wholly possible and very probable that the Scorpions beat the Witches fair and square, I believe the Witches were trying hard to win, why wouldn't they.

    Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?

All the team rode well, great to see some determination from all not just a few, can't understand why other people don't rate the Scorpions very highly, on their day they are as good as most. The racing was "from the top drawer" once again. Looks like the change in the team order has worked well, looking forward to more of the same.
  11. Yes the Scorpions had passion and determination as a whole team, I haven't seen that at home this year until now. They looked like they could give any pl team a good contest. I remember Danny King not being too hot round the EWR last year and didn't expect much from him but Covatti I thought would be better than he was. Looking forward now to Redcar on Thursday and seeing Glasgow at Scunthorpe on friday. As Rob might say "let's kick on".

    British Semi Finals 2016

Spent quite a while looking through this thread to see if there was a DVD available for the Scunthorpe semi, at last I found the info I was looking for after having to go through all the nonsense and off topic bs that most of the so called adults spout all over this forum. I was at the Scunthorpe semi and am looking forward to seeing the awesome racing from that meeting again. I do apologise for being on topic.

Best Visiting Rider At Your Track

Brady Kurtz was impressive round Scunthorpe 2015. I imagine all the recent riders will be disregarded by the rose tinted spectacle wearers of "the good old days", what about now folks?

Scunthorpe V Rye House Pl 19-06-2k16

Yes heavy rain from 7 onwards. I have confidence that the track will be prepared for whatever the weather brings. I've been to every home meeting since I discovered speedway at the end of 2014, it is hard to watch the home team lose so often but the racing is the best I've seen.
