  1. Thank you. I don't do TWITter
  2. Ah yes but the BSPA seem to think play offs and cup finals are above the rule of law( or regulation ). curious to know where this info can be found though. (Not the rule, the fact that Max is riding at Newcastle)
  3. Notwithstanding that some riders MAY (or not) be given to miss the meeting in order to ride for their championship clubs, the only way a rider can miss the NLRC and ride on the monday is if he has a speedway injury. i.e. one that occurred during a meeting. Any other excuse, for example illness, bad back lifting bike into van, is classed as a non speedway injury/illness and results in an immediate 8 day ban.
  4. The punishment is in Art 19.7.4. The rider(s) concerned must miss the next two home meetings for their clubs. Whether that is just their NDL clubs or their Championship clubs isn't clarified. It is also up to the director's discretion. If they were to be given 28 day bans then any unserved days by the 31 October would be carried forward to the beginning of next season. I would think there will be some serious discussion this week as Newcastle will certainly want Max Clegg and Danny Phillips to be riding at Newcastle next Sunday in their KOC final. The problem is both fixtures are re-arranged matches from their original dates. The BSPA/SCB have history in disregarding the the regs (in the interest of the sport) in such cases. Personally I hope they are both at Newcastle
  5. No doubt that will be subject to some serious negotiation. By rights, as NeilWatson says the NDRC gets priority As stated in Reg 19.7.3. However Reg 19.7.4 It is mandatory for riders to appear in the NDL 4TT, NDL BP and NDLRC; riders will be suspended from their next 2 Home Meetings in contravention, subject to the Directors confirmation. Since belle Vue and Cradley have finished it's going to be difficult to enforce. The NDRC has already been postponed twice (when both riders WERE available. I'm sure there have been instances in the past where riders have missed a re-arranged NDL shared event to ride dor there senior team.
  6. Wolverhampton moved there meeting from today to next Sunday partly because of rider availability. By the regulations Championship teams get priority on a Sunday. One would hope the relevant authorities stick by that. But don't hold your breath. The wolves meeting is essentially a nothing fixture (supporters cup, already won by Swindon I believe).

    Bears v Diamond's KOCF

Hope not. Really need the fixture to go ahead tomorrow now that Wolves have re-arranged their supporters cup fixture for next Sunday. There will be a Premiership v Championship battle for the services of Charles Wright and Ulrich Ostergaard. One would hope that the Championship KOC fixture takes precedence (as it should according to the regulations) but the SCB/BSPA have been known to throw the rule book out of the window when it suits them.

Basically because TJ's average has dropped so low that nobody who you would expect to score half decent points fits!!!

    Redcar v Leicester Semi final

The live update site really needs to get sorted. That's twice in two days they've made a pig's ear of the score, and there have been numerous errors throughout the season. Are the texters to busy texting instead of watching the actual racing? Unlucky Redcar. I'm afraid you let Lecester of the hook at home. Well done Leicester. Good luck against Glasgow.

Covers don't work at Newcastle. The water drains from the greyhound track (which is higher than the speedway track) from underneath. It comes out of speedway track from the bottom up. Unlike at Berwick, for example, where it drains off the track onto the football pitch (which is why they can't use the covers if there is a home match on).
  11. Yes but:- 16.1.1 Priority will be given to riders participating in the SGB Premiership League on Mondays and Thursdays. Priority will be given to riders participating in the SGB Championship League on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The regulation is in bold. So it seems that it's a case of "we know what the regulations says but if you shout loud enough we'll conveniently ignore it for you.
  12. Rideable. Borderline raceable. Bends 3 and 4 were certainly iffy judging by the number of rider errors and falls that occurred there. I heard that Friday was the last available date for the fixture as Edinburgh's Aussies are due to fly home next week. Newcastle management were told on Thursday afternoon that Danny HAD to ride for Belle Vue with it being a Play Off fixture, even though it was a re-arranged fixture (from the Thursday) and by rights the Newcastle fixture was in the diary first and should of taken precedence. They certainly weren't happy with the decision.
  13. Hope they are doing an insert as there will be a lot of crossing out/writing on the newcastle side of the program if not. Mainly due to October green sheets.

    Redcar v Leicester Semi final

What. The middle of August!! Clubs would then have to finish at the end of July. They'll just love that. just get rid of them all together. It's not like anybody gets promoted/relegated.

The BSPA want the League play-offs over and done with before the KOC final. With all four semi's rained off this weekend that is now going to be difficult. Unless...............

Really? It wouldn't be the first time a promoter has been surprised to find one of his riders has been injured guesting for someone else that he was unaware of. It is common courtesy to advise the riders promotion that they intend to ask a particular rider to guest for them but I'm not sure they actually need the clubs permission. Riders are self employed don't forget.

Yes Ully will be in the top 5. Max will be back at reserve as he is only averaged 4.16 this month. TJ has averaged 6.36 this month as opposed to his GS average of 6.75 so I don't expect his average to drop to much. He has 24 matches in this season so none of last season's fixtures will be included in his rolling average. Lasse has been riding above average this month so should stay in top 5. Tero has a GS average 6.31 which includes 9 of last years fixtures. This month 4 matches for 7.6 so he will drop 4 of last years scores. However in the last few months last season he was averaging over 8 for us so I don't expect his average to go up too much. I'll be surprised if he doesn't fit next month especially at home with the 5% bonus.

Correct. 7.09 to play with at home; 6.75 away. (For this month anyway). Can't see it changing much for the better, if at all, for October. Options extremely limited. Probably better off using R/R at home at least (especially if Ulrich is at reserve).
  22. Regulation 15.5.1 Where a heat is stopped, the Referee shall disqualify the rider, who in their opinion is the primary cause of the stoppage, has indulged in foul, unfair, dangerous or reckless conduct that’s jeopardised the fair chance of an opponent. In certain circumstances, that may include disqualification from the rest of the Meeting, with no facility allowed in a team meeting. The referee obviously thought that Bjerre's chance of possibly catching and passing Wright was nullified by Andersen.
  23. I very much doubt he'll be our guest (if needed) at Edinburgh. By his own admission he hates the place and just can't get around it.
