With regard to the number of teams, It will be survival of the fittest that sorts that problem, I believe. Reducing the number of riders in a team is a decision that needs to be made now.

Perhaps have less riders in less teams?

I've just been having a nosy on the Edinburgh Monarchs site and one feature was a customer feedback survey. One would assume that the promoters would take the information gleaned from this survey and do all within their power to fine tune their product and ensure that it meets the needs of the paying customer. Surely, this would be a good starting point for Stoke? Get some feedback from customers past and present and see what low cost remedial measures can be implemented to encourage people to form a queue at the gate. It isn't difficult, is it? If the Poachers don't get people coming through the gates, then we might again be in the situation where riders are allegedly struggling to get paid and the electricity is being rationed. Apologies in advance to gustix and pete cc if they believe that my suggestion is just more moan, moan, moan.

Good point, gustix! You are a very wise person in the world of speedway and I respect your opinion on these matters. Which aspects of the promotion do you feel are worth encouraging? Do you think the efforts of the management are particularly commendable in any particular area? Or do you think that supporters past and present should support the Poachers simply because they operate a speedway venue? With regard to your point about the management responding, I am struggling to see the management responding or reacting to anything at all. And your mention of Stoke Speedway supporters AT LARGE is a little perplexing as I am not sure that there are any. Come on Stoke, you used to be a decent venue and with a little effort, you can be again. The riders are not the problem here. All riders deserve support whether they be good or not so good. But I will not go to a venue that fails to put on it's scheduled meetings, forgets to pay it's riders, allegedly poaches riders from other clubs or can't find a 10p for the leccy meter. Surely, they can do better than this? I apologize if you feel that this criticism is moaning.

If that was an indifferent season, I sure as hell wouldn't like to witness a bad season. Anyway, jesting aside, we can but hope that now the Poachers are finalizing their team line-up, they might turn their attention to the rather pressing matter of offering a product that potential customers might be inclined to pay for. Come on Stoke, think outside the box and get the show on the road. The same old same old is past it's sell-by date.
