Is there anywhere you can check on past results from the 70s as I need to know if it was birmingham or not lol

This coach went to the afternoon meeting and then on the way back went to Reading vs Birmingham, I think.
We wasn't told on the way that we would be going to two meetings so my dad was lucky he had enough money on him.

My memories from early 70s until closing...
Collecting hubby bubbly bottles for a penny each.
Winning at white city at a Saturday afternoon meeting in the mid 70s.
Going on the coach to Bradford to witness their biggest away defeat at the time...kenny carter was in his last season..
Watching hans nielsen winning by nearly half a lap for oxford
My favourite swindon rider in the 80s was bo petersen...really thought they would win something with crump, nilsen and simmons
The smell of the bikes and fried onions from the burger van.
Watching swindon getting a 5-1 in the last heat to win at coventry
Standing on a cold bank in the dark watching a tractor going around..
Some good, some bad..

And what are the on site cranes doing today??
Apparently you could lean out of the window of the house next to the pits and rev the bikes up.

We could have indoor speedway at the oasis!

His place is outside of Swindon council boundary. The Aussie guys used to have workshops there. Swindon council have no interest in much sporty, arty or recreational it seems, closing a leisure centre, two pitch n putt courses, golf course, museum etc.,
Let's hope Andy Hobbs is the Roman Abramovich of Lydiard.

It looked to me like they had moved the units so they could clear the old main car park in time for Taylor Wimpey to start building the houses they aren't allowed to build until we have a fully functioning stadium! I sound cynical but I'm just being realistic.
The cranes have disappeared so maybe you are right. They look like rows of bus shelters stacked on top of each other.
I think I would like to see a few bricks being laid before I get too optimistic.

Inside the grandstand was like a hot day in Iraq.

They've started putting the grandstand together.

count me in then
Ok Clive cheers

Is this for both premier and championship leagues or just premier
we can see what the league structures are for next year...no reason not to do both
Do we get points if we predict the correct number of race restarts due to the soppy refs
You would hit a thousand points by mid June
-
so 10 points it is then
I'll hold back a spare place for you before it starts in the spring lol
-
Surely a draw is the least likely result statisticslly so correctly predicting one should actually gain extra bonus points
BTW I dont want to play ☺
You don't get nothing more for a pair in this game..

Count me in tricky.
That's two....only five months to get the other 14.
How about a point for correctly predicting the number of guests in each match!
Haha
3pts for a correct result
5pt bonus for correct result....excluding draws

What about points for a correct result? Correct scores sound hard to predict to me!
Fair comment
Say 3pts for a correct result

Any one up for a bit of fun next year with a prediction for each league match of 2018?
10 pts for each correct score
5 pts for correct score of one team....eg. Two riders fail to finish a race or t/r
A running league table will be published every Sunday.
first 16 names will be entered..
Winner at end of season gets nothing...just for fun
Add your name if interested

That was kind of the point I was trying to make to another poster. Clearly you were unaware of that

The original point was lost in the whirlwind of posts last night
