A poor display from BV last night. The best team won.

2024 Premiership Predictions
one of clubs replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This signing of Robert Lambert narrative needs to stop. The reason that BV were crowned champions is not the fact that Robert was brought in for the final. The real reason is that Sheffield threw it away. They had their chances but wasted them, pure and simple. -
2024 Premiership Predictions
one of clubs replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Leicester are my favourites for the title, they have the look of Peterborough 2021 where nearly every rider could have scored ten points. The only doubt for me is Richard Lawson given his age and can be inconsistent. Leicester V Ipswich/Sheffield final. -
27 years on
one of clubs replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
At the moment a former BV Colts rider is on BBC's the apprentice and the only thing we hear is that his company supplies pies to MCFC. Yet another example of poor promotion, the powers that be should be right on that by way of taking advantage of free publicity. Shocking really. Terry Russell and his violin case brigade have alot to answer for with the Sky sports money. They did very well out of it thankyou and most of his associated tracks are no more. -
Hans Andersen retires
one of clubs replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
One of my favourite riders, Hans was a stalwart of British Speedway and he always gave his best, it is sad not to see Hans ride again. Correct decision to retire however. Thanks for the memories. -
The Russells have done nothing but take from British Speedway, just look at all the tracks they have been associated with, nearly all of them are now defunct. I said this years ago and was criticised for it. I liken them to the Kray brothers.

Personally I don't think we will see Dan or Jaimon at BV or in the UK next year, although I would love to be proved wrong. Adam Ellis is a huge gamble, he seemed slow at times this season, and he gave us the finger last october!. I would be happy with that team nontheless.

No way will Adam Ellis be at BV next season given him giving us the finger last October, or Dan for that matter, his priorities lie in Poland.

Tigers vs Wolves (playoff semi 2nd leg) 28/09/23
one of clubs replied to SpeedwayFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I need something clearing up. I don't keep up with the rules and regs like i used to. Why are Sheffield allowed a replacement for Jack when he is riding in the gp's and in poland etc but not UK. Am i missing something or have i got it wrong, and no i do not dislike Sheffield or any other team. -
Belle Vue vs Ipswich (playoff semi 2nd leg) 25/09/23
one of clubs replied to SpeedwayFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Gutted about the result last night, in all honesty we lost it at FH and that is what put us out. Congratulations to Ipswich and good luck in the final. I wish fans of other tracks would stop banging on about having a stadium built for us using public money. They do not complain about Manchester City paying peanuts in rent for a new stadium for their sole use, or West Ham having their security and other operating costs paid for by the taxpayer. The stadium and the newly build surrounding leisure facilities are for general public leisure use and not exclusively for speedway. We hope that some time in the not too distant future that once defunct tracks return and that there are no more under threat, which is something all fans know the sport can not afford. -
Ipswich Witches vs Belle Vue Aces (new playoff semi 1st leg) 21/09/23
one of clubs replied to SpeedwayFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There can be no excuses tonight or indeed any sour grapes. It pains me to say everyone bar Tom and Brady looked like novices. Ipswich wanted it more, pure and simple. Ipswich are in the driving seat now although it is not over til the overweight person sings. BV were quite simply pathetic. -
Should BV make the grand final would the home leg be on thursday 2nd oct, weather permitting?

Panthers vs Wolves - Premiership R2 (31st Aug 2023)
one of clubs replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
One thing is for sure. All the pressure is on Wolves.Should they lose they will not finish top. A 4 2 in every one of the 45 heats remaining will do it -
King's Lynn Vs Belle Vue 24th August
one of clubs replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When the two home reserves score like they did tonight then almost every time the team wins, regardless of the opposition. It is all very well saying all a team has to do is turn up and the points are in the bag, we know things are not like that. A team has to go out and win the thing and KL did that.Congrats to them. This is a slightly disappointing result but with wolves and leics losing then the result was not a disaster. -
Allow me to clear this up once and for all. The most decorated British rider in terms of world championship honours is Peter Collins with ten. Tai has three. What may i ask is difficult to understand about that?. Three individual does in no way surpass ten combined, including a 1984 win with a team mate and fellow Mancunian. Tai bless him has won no other honours to boot.

Sometimes I cannot believe what some people write on here, although I understand some have a different point of view when it comes down to cold hard facts.
-
Like for like signing. No problem with that.
-
Good result for both Ipswich and the champions tonight. Well done to Ipswich on a great performance. We have seen it time and again when the home track differs from the norm, then the home side can sometimes struggle, and that seems the case tonight.

Belle Vue v Ipswich Monday 17th July Live on Eurosport
one of clubs replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good win for the Aces tonight, sad I was not there to witness it, as holidaying in Cuba atm. The mark of a good team is they are hard to beat and if one has a bad night, the other steps up to the plate. Sheffield next, with the team whose captains mother cuts my wife’s hair. Aces forever, from Jibacoa. -
Wolves v Peterborough 17th JUly 2023
one of clubs replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Please correct me if I am wrong, but how can it be right that if a team draws at home, then they get the same points as a win.FFS. Greetings from sunny Cuba. -
The presentation ceremony was a amateur looking effort with a kids football type cheap rostrum.

German GP Teterow Saturday June 10th
one of clubs replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why oh why do they keep staging GP’s at rubbish tracks?.I cannot remember the last time I saw a decent GP meeting. They are dire most of the time. -
Sheffield look awful.
