He desperately needs to be riding in the Championship, it’s Ok going to practice in Poland and have one smoke blown up his arse, or go there and get zero rides at number 8 for Pila or ride for Grudziadz in u24 league but tracks there will give him nothing when riding in the UK.  Dan needs to be watching every race he’s not racing in to help him with how the track is riding, example last few weeks is going for the dirt in ht2 when it’s plainly not there and the inside line is the way forward but he only seems to have one way of riding.  A move out of the Sheffield team might not be a bad thing for him before he hits the zero confidence zone that Kyle Howarth seems to be in (we know Kyle can ride a lot better/faster than he is now)

I definitely think he’s a talent he’s scored well in the premiership at times and championship but as you say everyone sees the bright lights of Poland when in fact I think he should’ve stayed championship at least if you’re not scoring much in the premiership you’ve got the championship to fall back on and maybe get confidence back but think it’s a mistake giving the championship a miss, hopefully he’ll improve though.

I think once Jason went into the 1-6 that means in effect he opted out of the RS scheme, so even if Sheffield dropped Gilkes then can’t replace him with Edwards and bring in another non RS for the number 6 slot, might have been told info on this

Just out of curiosity is Gilkes riding enough? I know he’s in Poland but is he getting much track time out there? Personally someone so young should be riding as much as he possibly can.

Well. Your getting your change you wanted.

wont make you better though. Can’t be worse than milik though

It’s pretty much like for like really though isn’t it? Miliks true average was something like 5.6 from last time he rode here before it got hiked, sedgy is just over a 5. It’s a solid team but can’t really see lots of heat winners in the side.

and you have people making jokes about it and welcoming him back. Baffling to say the least.

these crimes are on another level to anything Garrity done. And yet here he is commenting on a forum as if nothing has happened!!!!

The sentencing he got or rather lack of is a joke! The bloke is an absolute beast.

TBF Flint has been very hit & miss too so far.

At least Lampart appears to be getting a little better and worth persevering with IMO.

Flint has but you kind of expect reserves to be hit and miss otherwise they wouldn’t be reserves if they scored well all the time.

With Milik everyone knew before the season started his reassessed average was a joke and he wouldn’t attain it.

Although it was a good performance from the team last night we definitely need one more change asap. Personally I would keep Tofty and get rid of Patryk as their averages are virtually the same but I suspect Tofty comes a lot cheaper money the club could put towards a replacement.

The big question is who is available on about a 7.5 point average.? Can’t think of anybody who would like to come over to the uk to ride, thoughts anyone.

I think it’s fairly common knowledge that Zagar is quite expensive.

you didnt even mention the call off in your first post? I'm pretty certain changes can get ratified extremely quickly.

I know sorry! I just meant they probably knew over the weekend Tarasenko wouldn’t be back and I’m sure the rule used to be that you had to submit your team 2 days before a meeting meaning they ride Thursday so they must’ve had this all sorted on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Why? Klindt was probably lined up already to replace tofty but just sped up the process

Because you can’t just call meetings off at the drop of a hat. Every man and his dog knew on Monday that no rain was forecast so why call the meeting off? They probably knew on Sunday or Monday Tarasenko wouldn’t be returning the kl promotion are a joke.

  9. Just ordered the stream for this hoping for a good meeting and hopefully see what all the fuss around Workington track is about hopefully it’s as good as has been described. Not really quite sure how this meeting will go obviously newbies for Workington still getting adjusted to there home track and most of the Redcar side haven’t ridden here before, think Redcar need a big meeting from Danny King today otherwise it could be a long afternoon for them.

Rules went out the window on that one. Helmet wasn’t checked or nothing. Which I believe we did complain about.

Re the helmet situation didn’t Harris ride at Oxford the previous night? I’m assuming his erm helmet would’ve been checked then? He didn’t fall during the meeting so surely it should be safe and sound the following evening.

Some on here have been saying for quite a while now that Promoters should be Promoting the sport.

Workington bring in a female rider and are accused of it being a PR stunt.  They just can't win, can they?

I think the general consensus is it’s generated a lot of interest purely because she’s a woman but say for example they had signed Adam Roynon there wouldn’t be half the interest there’s been for Celina so you could call it a bit of a pr stunt I’d say it’s got people talking and social media and other outlets have taken an interest in this signing… Look at the facts though she’s had 13 rides to date in 3 meetings and she’s scored 2 points there are so many unemployed riders who could’ve scored that and better and that’s a fact it’s nothing to do with her gender.

I know it's early days, but first impressions:

    Claus - still got it

Tate and Antii - both excellent today even first time out, once they get settled in I'd expect them to be the heat leaders with Claus

Cook and Batchelor - best days are in the past but will still do a job

Celine and Sam - looking like the weak point, but let's give them a chance and see how they do against teams with similar level reserves.  Neither were going to challenge Hodder and Celine had a good second ride to beat Borke.

Wait until they come up against similar standard reserves? Hmm… one of Berwick’s reserves hasn’t ridden at this level before same as Sam and the other had a handful of meetings and comes in on the same average as your other reserve so don’t really understand that comment… although they need a few more meetings than two but if they carry on in that vein then it places a lot of pressure on the top 5 which is a risk as some of them are going to tracks for the first time.
