  1. Just change the word "all" for "the vast majority of" and you are about right. BSPL sought advice about transponders, chose not to take it and went for the cheapest option and unbelievably ended up buying something that doesn't work very well. Who'd of thunk that

    Workington 2024

I know there have been a lot of discussions trying to get Anders on board, but travel, difficulty in getting to Poland for Sundays and also money have meant that that deal hasn't come off so far

    Workington 2024

    Harsh!...... But Fair
  4. Think a few people are getting a little carried away. Jason Doyle will do what's best for Jason Doyle and his family. And so he should. Riding in the UK suits him and his family, Riding for Ipswich suits him and his family. And in return he performs week in week out and gives value for money to his employers end of. If you want to put him on a pedestal of integrity and loyalty and he does it for the love of the fans etc, might want to ask Leszno how they feel about him.
  5. I think Tarasenko is a pretty safe bet, most tracks he saw for the first time last year. He saw Kings Lynn once and was unbeaten until he crashed in a first turn incident in heat 13. He spent a large part of his time figuring out what are the best engines for english tracks and experimenting so I'd say there is probably more to come from him. He's ultra professional, brave, and very switched on. If he goes to Lynn, I'd expect him to be pushing for the #1 race jacket by the mid year.

exactly. could be tricky, we'll see.

    Brummies 2024...

I really hope somehow they can put together a competitive team not just the dregs leftover from elsewhere. But it does feel like there are icebergs all around and someone just yelled "all ahead full"

    Oxford Spires 2024

I think team composition is going to be so important and something they need to get right. If you want the fans to support all the teams, it's more difficult when half of your championship team, next week are riding against you in the Premiership. They need as many as possible riding in particularly both top teams.

    Leicester Lions 2024

When you think of all the other rules they break, it's hardly surprising that they do . TBH I don't really see what the problem is with discussing with a self employed rider , their availability to work elsewhere in the future. Yet another example of this ridiculous asset system that is completely unfit for purpose
  10. It's frustrating where Morris's punishment for not taking a test was, I felt correct and serves as a deterrent for others. Worrall's punishment for taking a recreational drug known to impair your judgement is sufficiently pathetic to say to anyone else, " don't worry about it, if you get caught, you'll miss a few months" It's not like he held his hands up, admitted it, and showed any remorse. Initially at least.

    Oxford Cheetahs 2024

Watching him trying to get round Oxford would be good for a laugh if nothing else. If you pay him per point he'll be pretty cheap

This 100% Blaming the riders for asking for too much and then being paid it, is like blaming McDonald's for why you are fat

    Workington 2024

If promoters are stupid enough to over pay, why is that the riders fault? Because as a group the promoters have as much integrity as a spam sandwich. Back in 2013 I think it was, The 2nd division all agreed a £55 a point pay cap across the board at the agm. Within an hour I knew one rider who was being paid £75 a point (£20 a point cash) No one is forcing the promotion to sign them and pay what they ask for, the promotions aren't strong enough to act together. Blaming the riders is like blaming a work colleague for not agreeing to do his job for half the money for the benefit of his boss?
  14. Lets be honest, the fact that Tarasenko can't guest for Kemp will please Rob Godfrey's wallet more than it does any Poole fan

    Berwick 2024

Pretty sure Dickson will be keenly waiting on the outcome of Worrall's SCB hearing before planning his team. They do seem to be joined at the hip a lot of the time. I think he will have a lot of input into the assembly of the Berwick team, but agree, there are many team managers who have little or nothing to do with it.
  16. The interesting thing for me is how much Kurtz has improved on the tighter more technical tracks over the last couple of years. There were times not too long ago, when you knew if he went to Monmore or Foxhall, he would be useless and not up for it at all. He hated those type of tracks. He's now applied himself admirably and looks a quality rider at the tighter more technical tracks. Dan last night kept himself safe for the weekend. He always ran mid track where the bike was comfortable to ride.

    2023 Playoffs

Without doubt "ignorance is bliss" when it comes to supporting speedway. The more closely you look, the less you like what you see. TBF Poland is pretty corrupt too, but in slightly different places and they are much more professional at covering it over with some glitz and glamour. Our lot over here don't really make any effort to cover up their shenanigans any more.
  18. You may be right, the choices you list aren't great. I might have been tempted by Perry, who recently won a race on merit round Oxford in the Championship Pairs?
  19. If I were Glasgow, I'd be concerned at reserve. I think Jack Smith is a poor choice at a track where you need to turn hard. He's shown in the past, that he struggles and dislikes small tight tracks. Lets hope for Glasgow's sake that choice doesn't come back to bite them.
  20. It would certainly seem from their statement that the ban length was a compromise to cover up the fact that the procedures were not followed to the letter in a quid pro quo.
  21. How dull would that meeting have been had there not been the aggregate bonus point to fight for. Whilst | can take or leave the idea of the superheat. The aggregate bonus point does keep interest and excitement going in some meetings where the result on the night is already done. I think I prefer it to they win by more than 6 bonus point/away loss by less than 6 stuff of previous years

    Glasgow 2023

In order to sign a rider. The rider needs to have a starting permission from the clubs/countries in which they are riding but specifically from the country in which their license is held. No starting permission has been sought by Glasgow from the PZM I am told. It would appear they have jumped the gun and are now having to get them done. He should be good for Friday
  24. Danny King will be rubbing his hands together
