Well Geoff there's a thing... a full lighting specification has been done for the track but as you are aware the power to the site was removed when the pikey mob decided to.remove the transformers from the site... Probably the biggest cost involved for the whole project will be the stadium lighting however it may have to come down to running it from generators which wont be ideal however the guys are working on various options... Well I have just seen the "Bill of fare" and I can confirm that if you made an offer for the shale it would probably be accepted... 7000 grand for an 8 year old old air fence... honestly the clown has lost the plot... that air fence has been popped more times by Dean Douglas alone than a kid with a roll of bubble wrap... Of course he is making the club better and securing it's future... but never mind I am selling a car if anyone wants to buy it... Tuesday the news breaks JER makes the decission to close with immediate effect... Wednesday the press release I done it to secure the sale of the club for blah de blah woè is me reasons but it will make the club viable for someone else to take it forward.... Wednesday afternoon waited an hour and no one has rang to buy the club... the queue of multi millionaires sitting on the wall outside Brough haven't rang... OMG... What to do... what to do... I know FIRE SALE... the lying get had no intention of selling the club ready for next season... The tractors have been sold... the grading wheel and blade are on their way to Mildenhall and the Air Fence, Containners, Track Lights and Starting Gate are all open to the highest bidder... The odious lying little turd... I hope the food hygiene people nail his laal curly tail to a notice board... This place isn't coming back for sure as all the equipment is being flogged off... At the bottom of the "earth mound" as you put it will be the roadway to the tractor area and the top of the "earth mound" 10 metres away will be where the viewing will be... so dont assume the bleeding obvious when it is bleedin obvious you havent got a clue (as usual) what you are on about... However I will be there over the weekend weather permitting and just for you I will take a couple of pictures... do you have any preference where I should take them from? Mr David Bailey? Because its bleedin obvious that you will be an expert in photograpy for sure... or will you be happy with a few random snappies? Here is something else that is bleeding obvious because the track is being set in a bowl the viewing will be exceptional and the the track will certainly match the NSS and I would be happy to put my neck on the block and say now it will be deemed as the best track in the country bar none because the guys have had a blank canvass to work with... and they are doing an exceptional job... Must be great being an expert 380 miles from the job and looking at Photographs... reminds me of a Building Surveyor I once knew who said he would work at any height you wanted as long he could keep one foot on the floor and his other favourite saying was send me a picture I am allergic to the outside... There have already been a few conversations but after last year's debacle it's not for me... I think we have lost that wave of goodwill and the place is a knacker job sad to say... Honestly The real answer is I don't know for sure as I was under the impression that he/the club was bound under the old Bond remit of £15k not the new one you have quoted above; however and I don't know how true this is; I was told that he was losing around £5k over a pair of meetings home and away, So if that figure is correct that means he was still going to lose another £42.5k approximately to the end of the season with the 11 league matches he had left and then there was the 3 + 3 summer trophy meetings to do; so 17 meetings in total. Therefore if the Bond was £50k he has in effect lost another £7.5k by folding the club now and not completing the meetings; because he could have got his Bond back at the end of the season if he pulled out then... but if my guess is correct and he only has a £15k Bond to lose that means he actually saves around £27.5k by not running the meetings... makes perfect sense to do what he has done to be fair.... although finding another £30/40k in the grand scheme of things to run to the end of the season and not be branded "JER the Mug" could and would have been found if he had reached out AGAIN... after all... he wasn't shy last season was he? However @KEITH M has made some very valid and salient points which I wont go over "per se" but the questions he puts forward are "where has all the cash gone"? as described by Keith... the big sponsorship deal boasted about; the big meetings that drew in bumper crowds last season (Birmingham over £22k admission alone before food and special deals upstairs were factored in)... makes you wonder because the fans done their part for sure... makes me wonder anyway... JER couldn't negotiate a deal if his life depended on it... Even the "die hard" diamonds gave him a chance (and the fans have been superb by the way) however after watching the team in the Stoke challenge match they knew it would be a long hard season... JER must have flipped a couple of burgers over his eyes because everyone knew and could see what was happening but that clown... Since coming back in 2009 I have pumped over £110k into the spot in sponsorship which to be fair isn't a great deal in the overall scheme of things but its a hefty enough investment not to feel devastated at the position we now find ourselves at... and I thought by not attending this season that I wouldn't feel to bad if the club did go "Pop" but to be Totally Honest; "I am absolutely gutted" that it has ended up like this after all the "Billy Big Balls" talk of how easy it was going to be to run a Speedway Team and then to just pull the plug and walk away... To all the Diamonds fans I am really sorry that we are in this situation because you have tried and you have supported some pretty useless individuals over recent times and I feel sorry for Dave Tinning who is on holiday at the moment and totally blameless in this fiasco... I hope this hasn't ruined your break too much buddy... lets see what next year brings because JER states he is pulling out now to give someone else the opportunity next year... I will save my thoughts on the reasoning behind that "little Gem" for a future post... I did a 5 year apprenticeship to obtain my indenture and at the end of the 5 year you were put on what they called "black time" where you didn't get the full pay rate until you made up all the half hours and quarters you had been late in the morning or lunchtimes and all the unofficial days you had off (including sick days) were worked off... plus during "black time" the company had a tradesman being charged out at the full rate while the newly passed out apprentice only got 60% of the tradesman's rate until his "black time" had been worked off... Also it didn't work the other way where to help the company if you did overtime them hours or days never came off your 5 year term or your "black time"... Nothing like experience and pushing out craftsmen after 13 weeks of training just dilutes the job... (hence the disparaging name I suppose) but there you go things change... Regards THJ

Ya not wrong on a Public Face but lets be fair Granty definitely has a face for Radio... The thing is how long will the other clubs put up with this; two home thrashings for the Diamonds but the away teams will be paying out 6 to 7 grand with no opportunity to recover any of that; the riders will be laughing their socks off with an easy pay day but the away clubs must be feeling the pinch for sure... I wouldn't be surprised if there has not been the conversation with the BSPL and Granty to actually pull the plug on the season because that was going to be his option last season until the "Go Fund Me" and then the crying match about closing the club; and supporting the double headers; which brought fans back in their droves; however he's used the "Go Fund Me" routine and the "cry wolf ploy" on closure so he has sort of run out of options... John English Reborn all over again and just like the pictures I think this is the part where most people came in so its not worth seeing the second part of the movie because you know what is going to happen... (and yes you have to be a certain age to appreciate that analogy) Sadly, I think you are right and I also can only see the current status quo for the remainder of the season. Regards THJ
