If Louis is still on plan A then who the heck does he have lined up as a number 1 because I'm really struggling to think of anyone especially if Hampel is ruled out.

I think alot of us thought that Doyle was coming after the announcement that Ipswich were moving up.
It's been suggest that money was an issue which should make all Ippo fans worried about being able to attract top line riders.
Given that we have one of the best sponsors assuming that Guy who also sponsors Doyle stays involved and some of the best crowds in the country.

The more little snippets that come out the more it appears that the move up was very last minute.
Therefore most riders already had deals lined up just needed the AGM to rubber stamp a few points.
You would have though lessons would have been learned from the dross that Ipswich put out on 2010 when crowds fell away and almost finished the club.

I wonder when Louis starts his short Eastern European Christmas break? Maybe he'll find a couple of heat leaders at the Polish Christmas markets?

At this rate he'll be in the team!

I wonder who the exciting surprise from Europe is?
The Bacon Louis interview would seem to suggest that the sale of the club and move up was very last minute and not foreseen by Louis towards the end of last season as it seems to hint Covatti and possibly Schlien were expecting to have Ipswich as there championship clubs having agreed premiership terms.

I have a feeling Hample is gonna figure. Nothing to base that on but just a hunch.

Getting worse for those of us down Foxhall way.

Check out @DrewKemp118’s Tweet:
The only Ipswich activity on social media is recent days and very much a case of what you could have had. With each passing day the sale of the club and the 'move up' is looking like the wrong move.

Louis did say we would be competive! Looks like we'll be involved for the scrap for the wooden spoon. Not much seems to have changed since the last time we were in the top flight
-
Given Nicholls local connections I'd be quite happy having him back and possibly even making him captain. To allow king to concentrate on his riding assuming king is returning.
However we certainly need some fresh young blood so no thank you to Harris.

More like Karol Baran! Anyone knows if mighty Ben Howe fancies a come back?
In all seriousness they need at least one exciting name and an excellent up and comer in the line up.

I just hope they haven't forgotten that the crap sides they put out in our last couple of elite league days almost finished the club with crowds dropping below the 500 mark.
It's starting to feel like the bad old days of waiting until after Christmas only to see a couple of dodgy Poles named in an uninspiring side.
I'm generally fearful how weak we'll be.
Hope I'm proved wrong.

Seeing our riders getting fixed up elsewhere the lack of news from Foxhall is both frustrating and worrying. In recent years our side has been named by now.

Let's go retro Nicholls Andersen Protasiewicz

But not a single confirmed signing anywhere in the Premiership with December looming on the horizon. Is that normal for this division?
Plenty of confirmed signings in the Championship already.
Any whispers of potential signings for the Witches?
Just a guess but Jason Doyle and Richard Lswson could be on the potential signing list

Doesn't matter what he expects if the rules dictate he can't.

Won't need Kings Lynn's ex riders when Doyle Woffinden Nicholls and Drabik arrive as part of team Tru Plant :-)

From the outside looking in I think Louis was happy to continue in the championship had that stayed at the same level as the last couple of seasons.
Once it became clear that I was going to weaken he was concerned that the Ipswich public would not support that. However didn't want to take the financial risk of top flight racing.
Chapman needed Ipswich to move up to save the premiership and so the value of the club increased & Louis cashed in.
Can't say I blame Louis for selling as in a few years the way speedway is going it would have been worth bugger all.
The cleaver part is that Louis has a clause to buy the club back in the future if he wishes so if the sport has an amazing recovery he can take back control.
That for Louis is a win win situation.

I'm pretty sure Dean Standing was never club asset and held his own registration thus allowing him freedom to move clubs. Not that that has anything to do with 2019 lol
-
I'm thinking we'll see one or two under the radar suprises along with a swansong for Nicholls possibly as captain.
-
One thing for certain is that Chapman got to make this work if he fails he loses the money ploughed in 3 teams and the top league at least collapses. Brave man.

So sad many memories of him lighting up Foxhall.
I really hope that he recovers soon.
