  1. Gating competition ??? Wot ??? and last night wasn't???
  2. Poor reffing yet again ! As a neutral, I don't have an opinion on who wins.....just a fair result is all I ask for and 'we/speedway in general' can't even get that right!
  3. Regardless of the line-ups it would be nice to see some decent racing for once ?

    Torun 2018

I'd like to say that at 48 years old, to come 5th is a brilliant achievement! Well done Greg Hancock !

What is your favourite 'era' of B'ham Speedway ? what's your best memories ? mine are from the 70's and the early 80's (my favourite track was the old Perry Barr)

Have to agree about the 'clicky' comment : ) I'm banned (permanently) from the Brummies forum for posting my 'thoughts' ....I didn't use any foul/abusive language/words ??? It does seem that you are 'only' allowed to post positive comments on there. I don't miss being able to post on there....if I did, I could easily set up a new used i.d etc.....but I'm not going to do that, as there's no point....... The only 'posts' I miss reading are a user name 'Heardy' (very funny) and he intelligently knew how close to the knuckle to take it : )
  7. 1981 Penhall Olsen and Penhall Knudsen races (Wembley World Final ) hard to split which one was better ?

Agree about trying to attract a 'new/younger' fan base....the new owners have done a remarkable job this season where that's concerned !!! I don't know of any other team that invite the kids on to the centre green at the interval ? wished they'd of done it in my day : ) As for Brian Buck ??? He is an absolute legend....imo.....but we're all entitled to our opinion. Shame they couldn't of made the end of season a four teamer and invited Coventry in to the fold ? it might have increased the attendance ? It's going to be a 'cold' one : )

I see that you've got floods of support for attending these 'meaningless' meetings ??? What 'financial' benefit will it be to the club staging these fixtures ? What's the point having a cut-off if you're still forced to run the fixture after the so called date ?

    Birmingham 2018

And Birmingham......with an injury list as long as your arm!

    Birmingham 2018

Still criticising the poster and not the post...... I see ??? So, do you have an explanation as to what's the actual point to these meetings? apart from a very interesting and valid point about the possibility of riders being able to 'lower' their average?

What's the point of B'ham completing their league fixtures at Mildenhall/Buxton ??? Who is actually going to go and watch these 'pointless' meetings???

    Nicholls with a broken ankle???

    Thoughts on 2018 Season

The 2 riders that have impressed me on viewing this season apart from the obvious, are Alfie Bowtell and Anders Rowe . The one I expected more from (again on viewing) is/was Kyle Bickley .

    Thoughts on 2018 Season

Just a thought ??? not sure if anyone else has mentioned or asked this ??? How come Dan Gilkes was allowed to ride for Lakeside (championship side) last Monday ? Leon Flint wasn't allowed to ride for B'ham against Peterborough because of his age? I'm assuming Dan is 16 years old ?

    Thoughts on 2018 Season

Spot on about the Thompsons ! And going back to 'proud to be a Brummie's' original post ? Eliis Perks gives his all ??? are you serious ??? if he misses the gate and thinks that he can't catch the leader, he always retires and fakes machine trouble.....done several times this season at Perry Barr ! However, I wasn't a fan of Danny Ayres, but he's won me over this season.....I love his all out 'style/never say beaten' attitude.....have to commend his passion ! If we're in the NL next season, I'd love to watch him weekly at PB !

    Mildenhall v Birmingham

Quite right on both counts! Looking at the forecast this match has no chance of taking place (yellow weather warning in place)

    NLRC

Whoever gets to the first bend first will win most races at this pathetic track!
  20. GiveusaB

    Birmingham 2018

Any meeting above NL standard would rule Leon Flint out...so what's the point in that??? He is the only sole survivor of our original declared 2018 line-up ?

    NLRC

From a neutral perspective....I'd like to see Drew Kemp and Tom Brennan in the line-up (and Conor Coles deserves a spot on current form...as mentioned above)

    Play Off Run In

I'd take Eastbourne over 2 legs if we can get there : )
  23. GiveusaB

    Play Off Run In

Don't see how they can announce that without the tables being finalised ?
  24. GiveusaB

    Play Off Run In

Getting back on thread? An away point at Mildenhall would get us get back in to the play offs.... I think we can pull this one off !
  25. GiveusaB

    Play Off Run In

Not really...the NT and the KOC doesn't float my boat...especially as not 'all' teams participate anyway? As for dialling in ? if you're not race ready by start of May then you never will be ..... imo ? I like S4S suggestion that there may be a few surprise results by getting straight on with it....? The only riders that I see being hindered (as far as form/experience go) are the 'new' reserve riders ?
