Saw Lawrence Rogers in the USA corner last night ? Get Luke Becker signed up asap!!!

    Birmingham v Berwick 8/5/19

Can't see this lifting I'm afraid . It will be called off early again (due to Berwick's distance etc.....imo) and definitely no complaints.

    Birmingham v Berwick 8/5/19

Hate to mention it, but if the Met Office is anything to go by, there wont be any racing tomorrow at PB !?

    Birmingham v Berwick 8/5/19

Sorry.....not exactly what I meant? Re-phrased...….'Ayres potentially can beat most of our riders at PB.....he can definitely be quicker than Zach/Paco/Ashley/James on his day, imo….. It depends which Danny Ayres turns up ? There is also the other side to Danny and I remember Layne Cuppitt beat him 2 seasons ago! He will definitely add some spice to proceedings.

Ayres is better than all the B'ham riders apart from Ellis around PB....Great choice of guest and it provides real entertainment too! I hate to say it, but this could be another big home defeat.....???

    Birmingham Brummies 2019

Great additions to the team! I think i'd of swapped Morris instead of Newman though! (not much in it) Hats off to David Mason for doing something so soon!

    Birmingham v Berwick 8/5/19

Well, if we're making a couple of changes, I'd out Newman and a toss up between Morris or Thomsen ? Bring in Ellis and Becker!!

    Birmingham v Berwick 8/5/19

The last time I saw Berwick compete at B'ham Doug and Willie Templeton rode for them : ))))) I think???

    Eastbourne v Leicester

Riding on a Sunday helps with the kids attending imo!
  10. I cant workout why he didn't use a T/S in heat 9 and left Paco in ??? Another 'woeful/inept' display by all ! Well done Danyon !
  11. How has Paco gone from being our best rider to our worst in just 2 meetings ? strange one that?
  12. The meeting has ran away from respectability now! Big TuT!
  13. Why haven't we used a T/S in heat 9 ?????????????????????? Zach should've replaced Paco !

    Brummies v Eagles 1.5.19

    Great post!
  15. Depends how much Saturday's meeting takes out of him? Looks like a tiring schedule for him?
  16. Is Paco back for this one? (not that it will change the outcome?)

    Brummies v Eagles 1.5.19

At the end of the day, like I've previously stated.... 'We've only had 2 competitive 'home' meetings' ? give the boys a chance to bed in!

    Brummies v Eagles 1.5.19

A reserve can replace the No.2 rider
  19. Sorry to stick my nose in....'but I really can't understand or see the reason why any speedway fan would want to watch the racing from an indoor location' ?

I respect your honesty and can totally relate to your observations about the 'red/yellow' glasses brigade...I was a victim as you well know : ) As for emailing the management? I think you're well within your rights to email them and air your thoughts/views....(but may be not straight after a performance like last night ) LOL As for response? The only answer I think you'll get is a 'financial' related one? I feel for the Masons because they've given us 'half' of what we long serving fans want ? (first class speedway/but a second rate team) and I'm not sure they are prepared to give us the other half whilst attendances are so low? now that Lee Kilby looks like he's leaving us, I really feel we might struggle to attract more backing etc.....(hope I'm wrong) I think the management will respect your views. Especially after your commitment and loyal support to the team over the years. Good luck Hobbit !

    Brummies v Eagles 1.5.19

Hope you posted your thoughts on the Brummies forum : ) I'm surprised at some of your comments as I often see you socialising with the manager/management and you often slated me for my previous negative comments about the manager last season??? However, I don't think any speedway manager could make a difference with our current line-up. However, you have made some very valid and respected points (especially Tobias being replaced in arguably his weakest race? I also pointed that out to a fan last night) I feel you've been harsh on Ulrik, who at least performed credibly last night. He shouldn't be made a scape goat (or at least appear to be...) A new commercial manager is definitely an avenue to explore now that Lee is a much busier man at Swindon! We've only had 2 home meetings.... 1. We were very close to a 'great' victory over Somerset 2. We were out gated and out fought and were definitely 2nd best in all departments against Eastbourne (I don't think the slick surface helped) Don't lose faith just yet

Zach is fine and he is performing admirably. He's hard to beat if he makes the gate....unfortunately, he doesn't get out in front often enough at the moment. When he misses the gate, he has the speed, but I don't think he quite knows how to use it to its maximum potential just yet......he still has time and I think he'll make a steady heat leader at this level, but I can't see him going any further (i.e International) just my opinion? Whereas...Tom Brennan is going all the way!

    Brummies v Eagles 1.5.19

Well, well....yet another 'gating' lesson for our boys??? Well done to Eastbourne....especially the promising Tom Brennan I've been a critic in the past, but I can't see how the manager was to blame in any part of this 'poor' performance? My only differing opinion of his tactical changes would've been in heat 12....I'd of gone with Ulrich over Kyle ? but it wasn't going to make any difference to the result either way! As for the reserve switches ? they were spot on imo and obviously tactical so far as Paco's average goes (trying to keep it down....) The most disappointing aspect, was the 'crowd level', or lack of it? It does look like football swallowed up a big part of it ? I cant see how we can criticise the riders for not being good enough??? Nobody tried harder than Shanes/Thomsen.....really feel for Tobias. I'm only just beginning to see what a tough/competitive league the Championship is....I'm afraid there's going to be a few more spankings home/away. Well done to Ulrich on his couple of wins...he beat both of Eastbourne's best 2 riders Kennett/Kerr! I have a small concern about the track last night? far slicker than usual ? hope that wasn't tactical, because we seriously are the worst team I've seen for a long time at gating? P.s Although we were effectively hammered...I wouldn't swap the racing for National League and will gracefully accept defeat by better teams in the Championship!

I agree with you entirely about the weather chat, but after last weeks early decision, it's bound to be a popular topic this week (imo) plus, it's a very long way for Eastbourne fans to travel midweek, so I think it's only fair to give them as accurate updates as possible.....just for the record my last (weather)comment was: If it helps (to any Eastbourne supporter)? It's lovely and sunny at the moment : ) and to be fair (in the past) PB has coped very well with rain....so I'm very hopeful! Have a great night too.....'Up the Brummies' !

Which thread are you referring to ? P.S I think Barcelona v Liverpool will have more of an impact on crowd attendance tonight, than any passing comment about weather forecasts (unfortunately) !
