  1. Something must have happened for Joe to get dropped,  do you honestly think the club would have bought a race suit for him, team jackets etc to dump him for nothing,  unfortunately we don’t know the facts but have to trust the club in there judgement.

riders have been practicing all over the country the last 3/4 weeks and a 2 pointer could have been injured at anytime and young Kyle would have been any clubs first choice, I believe Glasgow would have signed Bickley the day after Workington sadly closed if they were always going to sign him!!!

i believe it now strengthens the Tigers at the bottom end, unfortunately it’s not a great PR story but that’s hardly Bickleys fault.

Hope Joe gets a place soon somewhere else.

This is my view of positions

    Sheffield - VERY STRONG THROUGHOUT

    Newcastle - A SURPRISE PACKET

Somerset - HEAT LEADERS & AFTER A FEW MEETINGS BWD

Redcar - IF THE LOWER ORDER KICK IN

Eastbourne - HOME ADVANTAGE IS HUGE

    Leicester - LOOK SOLID

Glasgow - NOT AS STRONG AS PREVIOUS YEARS

Berwick A LOT DEPENDS ON JAKOBSON & ETHERIDGE

    Scunthorpe- COULD PROVE PEOPLE WRONG

Edinburgh - LACK OF TOP END POWER

    Birmingham - LACK OF HEATLEADERS

Not sure how Somerset will bring BWD in after a few meetings, Covatti will up his average and the two pointers wil, still be a minimum two even if there averaging 1.5,  points limit is still 38 I believe?

  3. Problem is many supporters clubs do and often quite rightly decide where there funds go as they generated them , now I believe if possible, supporters clubs and promoters/owners must work together , what we have seeen with Workington sadly is that it’s no longer  clubs go to the wall but when.

Remember if your using the name of your club to have a supporters club then I feel they should be involved with you.

no club no supporters club and vice versa,  I believe promotions and fans are needed to work together in the hope no more clubs go bust, not something I’m 100% sure certain will be the case sadly.

  4. Talk on other chat rooms that it’s the Bspa to blame or the Scb,  I simply don’t get that, Speedway is in a mess in Britain and yet clubs all over Britain have been offering deals to riders they can’t afford . Why , in the hope attendances will rise,

90% of riders will take the best deal going and can you blame them, no

Getting success by winning your league costs clubs a fortune and almost crippled Glasgow after 2011,

so what’s the answer, if there is one, if you have a poor team some fans stay away. Success equals more wages.

If a football team ie Bolton Wandereres have debt and can’t pay there wages do there fans blame the FA, no

I feel very sorry for the genuine Workington fans who have lost there team, they along with Laura must be devastated.

You cut the points limit even more and people will stop going or do you keep it the same and lose a couple of clubs every year

They tried for a lot of top nl riders for  reserves but they did not want to travel up here on a Friday some dew to parents working and others that would be riding way down south over the weekend  and too much traveling if it was Saturday or Sunday the first few they asked would have jumped at the chance and just think jack was fed up with the traveling and why travel another 6 hours for extra £5-10 a point luke has always done well when he guested for us and will be ok against the other 2 point riders and think Joe will be a lot better than folk make out if his equipment is up to scratch

The first few they tried?  How many did we try to get before we went for Lawlor and Chessel!!!   Well at least we can’t be accused of offering silly money to get the top NL riders as many on here have spouted.

  6. Reading his FB interview Luke Chessel said it took him 6 hours to get up to Glasgow, that’s a hell of a long way to bring a 2 pointer, though I believe Jack Thomas was even more?

as you said I can’t see our reserves being our first choice to fill 6/7 positions.   Looking at the side so far maybe we are cutting down on costs to riders ( Cook aside )  or couldn’t we attract the Flint, Bickley and Kemp’s that’s required when you go top heavy?

Regardless I still can’t wait until March when the tapes go up .
