Surprises me how much speedway fans dont know about their own sport

Prior to the season he was our messiah, our saviour, “we will be World beaters”, he said. Then F All communication all season. Now this crap. We were the worst team I’ve ever watched at Peterborough for 53 years. Appears we are the same age too, was a very young kid at the first meeting with my parents. All that happened was to change our traditional colours to suit. We ARE Red And Black. Thanks for your sponsorship but I would have preferred us to die without your false promises. Forgive my emotion but walking away last night for the last time was a very sad moment.
Owes me £100 for our pre season bet too lol

Rew is a must on his average although I do feel like Ipswich doesn't suit him a great deal. He's looked fantastic in the SGP2 but can't seem to replicate it over here.
Riss seems to be a cert now he's dropped so low and lets face it, you won't run without King in the 1-7.
Thompson could feel pretty hard done by if not picked as a RS again after a real upturn in form over the last few weeks but can see them staying loyal to Thomas if he can get fit.
Biggest question is how do you replace Emil if he doesn't come back? Masters?
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Rew ends up on his 4.00 average but riding at Belle Vue next season linking up with Lemon.
Rew has shown in some scores in Poland and in SGP2 loves a big track so Rew replacing say Wright if that keeps them under the 39? Limit next season is feasible in my book

Of course not, I'm an adult, takes more than a forum poster to grind my gears, enjoy your meeting tonight

1 hour ago, Charlieboy said:Nobody mentioned dropping riders. The original post mentioned Kyle Howarth being injured and I replied to that stating all the original sheffield riders had been injured. That is fact. If Ipswich have been fortunate enough not to have the amount of injuries we have then they have been lucky. If you’re not happy that Ipswich have not replaced out of form riders then take that up with your club instead of sniping at other clubs when team changes are been made. Too many people on here are obsessed with other clubs changes. Anyway I will be there tonight supporting the 1-7 that we put out on track. I take it you will be following you your team on the speedway updates
Never read a post before that screams so hard that its your time of the month

Question - what details do you leave when you object? can you do it privately or do you have to provide address and contact details?

I am told Emil and Artem will both get wildcards.

i don't know anything just plotting how some teams COULD line up and to compare possible team strengths
Only put Musielak at Glasgow based on Glasgow moving up, having money, and I do recall Musielak stating after a GP challenge once how much he loved the track, then take into consideration they have Tarasenko his mate and have had Nowak there this season too, 2+2 = 4,321 ha
I think Sheffield if Woffy wants to race in the UK full-time could opt for Tai over Tobi because they might feel they will get more through the gate for Tai but who knows too early to serious start breaking things down
I personally feel if its 6 teams in the prem, they need to either do 45 points and make the RS for championship only perhaps making the 6 & 7 in the championship RS only, or if they keep the RS in the prem a 42 point limit for 6 riders then the RS

20 minutes ago, Skidder1 said:If you are proposing a full season of fixtures, what makes you think that the Polish Extraliga will release riders that they have contracted?
IMO if there is to be any sort of 'senior' league then it will take the form of an early season competition to include any 'Superstars' that can be afforded, within a suitable line-up (5man; 6 man or even 7 man)
THose teams could then also compete in a strengthened Championship, on their chosen racenights and without the 'Superstars' to a sensible team building average.
that would certainly work if the early comp is 1 home vs 1 away set up with a play off system
but not sure how many of those riders have not done the UK for a full season before anyway, so sure most listed would be allowed to compete a full season in the UK as normal if they wanted to, I guess that does not mean that during the season they might want to move the goalposts -
bit of a slow afternoon, so put together some sort of teams IF they persuade Glasgow to come to the top table and make it a 6 team top tier again
so if Ipswich went down the route of
1. Sayfutdinov 2. Rew 3. Douglas 4. B Cook 5. Doyle 6. D Thompson 7. Boughen Belle Vue - 1. Kurtz 2. Blodorn 3. Wright 4. Brennan 5. Lidsey 6. Z Cook 7. Bailey
Kings Lynn - 1. R Lambert 2. Breum 3. Becker 4. Klindt 5. King 6. S Lambert 7. Rowe
Sheffield - 1. Woffinden 2. Howarth 3. Pickering 4. Ellis 5. C Holder 6. Wojdylo 7. Gilkes
Leicester - 1. Fricke 2. Kerr 3. Lawson 4. R Worrall 5. Masters 6. Riss 7. Kemp
Glasgow - 1. Musielak 2. Basso 3. Harris 4. Tarasenko 5. Bewley 6. Jenkins 7. Edwards
How would the witches fare against comparible teams?
One thing I have noticed is that if they did only have 6 sides next season there would ultimately be a few riders without top flight rides who you could argue should be in there, missing a fair few from that list above -
Next season Ipswich should go if you include the comments RH made about Rew
1. Emil Sayfutdinov
2. Keynan Rew
3. Ryan Douglas
4. Ben Cook
5. Jason Doyle
6. Dan Thompson
7. Ashton Boughen
I'd have said Riss over Rew personally as agreed Riss on a 6 hasn't worked out due to his illness but next season on a below 5 average IF fit would be worthwhile

No point pitching new ideas on a forum, many fans blame riders or the promoters for ruining the sport but most aren't open to new ideas themselves, all have some part of the blame for how poor the sport is now and will be in the future

Brennan in for Lawson for the evening match

Im sure Bewley stated the other week he's not keen to guest for other sides especially close to the play offs.
Perhaps Batchelor will guest for Cook in the night fixture and they'll run R/R for Lawson

id be drafting him in for Erik immediately if he’s available, rider in the up instead of the down
28 day visa has expired apparently and its not being renewed, he'll be hot property for 2024

The Morris situation was a real curve ball and required a quick response. Cannot criticise the Batchelor appointment at the time in view of alternative options. The recent double change ditching Bomber and bringing in Cook however is difficult to defend. There is a reason why Batch & Cook had yet to be offered a team place at this level before now and now Dickson knows why. Dickson is a winner and he is no doubt frantically looking at one final team change for the run in. It’s no good scraping into the play offs if you can’t even win at home.

If the rules stay the same next season wouldn't be against having both Dan and Jason at reserve next season
