Just saw that heat fifteen on BSN. Wow. What a ride from Schlein.

The two Monarchs seemed to ignore him after the race. Sedgmen definitely did; Schlein had his hand up for an embrace, but Sedgmen looked at him and didn’t offer the same in return. Bizarre.

Perhaps a little embarrassed at being absolutely bullied by Schlein on their home circuit?

Also, is it normal for the winner of heat fifteen to go straight back to the pits? Schlein did and I assume there are travelling Bandits fans who would have been grateful for a lap of honour in appreciation.

Had to be well over 100 bandits fans on the 3rd bend last night. No luck for the Berwick lads tonight but showed grit to keep going and keeping Edinburgh on their game. Hope Drew and Jye are on the mend.

  2. Got to give the promotion time and patience if I’m honest. Obviously been working hard in the close season to make sure it was going to be feasible to run with some hard decisions taken. At least we can say we will be watching speedway this year where some others unfortunately cannot. I for one am looking forward to the oncoming season .

Ritchie Worrall strengthens Berwick, for this meeting and at Edinburgh tonight, but not by enough to save Berwick from two defeats. Not so sure about Luke Killeen as guest, plenty effort but can he stay on his bike long enough to score any points.

The one thing you can say about the young lad is that he’s gives it his all. From a supporters point of view that’s all you can ask for as long as he stays on the bike. He’s certainly entertaining. A meeting like last week with a bandits narrow victory would do me

  4. Never a charge for parking at Shielfield. The football club had Jimmy on the front of the entrance and he would get every driver to buy a 50/50 ticket. You felt obliged to buy one. Every car one ticket and a lot less people to catch when entering the stadium. Great opportunity to make some decent prize money and funds for the club.

  5. Enjoyed the day down at Redcar. Edwards rode very well . Score was about what a lot of Berwick fans thought. Positives in TJ and Rory looking decent, Jye getting a full meeting in and Cole’s a bit unlucky with mechanicals. Jonas looked decent too. Overall a decent day and must say thanks to all at Redcar as it seems a very well run unit. Ps the food was cracking .

  6. Right here we go. Team sorted. Promotion done what a lot of clubs haven’t or cannot. Team picked to ride next year. Season tickets on sale before Xmas and merchandise being sorted well in advance of the season starting. But of course the moaners are straight out. I for one am happy . Well done the promotion. Love being the underdog. Berwick always have been but would you want it any other way. Instead of bumping the guns get of yer jinka on a Saturday night and cheer on the boys. Rant over . Peace and love

Around £200-£400 is figures I have seen or read previously.

I seem to remember looking at this area of the rules before & you have to be on track heading towards the starting area after the expiry of the 2 minutes BUT you are not allowed to prepare your starting area(deemed delaying the start).

Difference being British rules & Polish rules but I do like the Polish rule as at the expiry of the 2 minutes you have to be ready to race or you're out.

Simple way is fir referee to tell both sets of riders before the meeting what his expectations are . Then you can’t moan . Not rocket science
