    Newcastle 2016

Only if Nielsen is Hans at his peak?? I believe the commute to home matches is too big for Newman, otherwise I think he is the same as the Worralls, a must. The two Worralls are a must and on his showing so far so is Aarnio but I thought the same of Rose last year and Nielsen and they have not kicked on. Wilkson like Ludvig is great to watch but falls off too often for me in key scoring positions. Heeps, no thanks better options available. I don't have the answers and maybe none of us will until after Sunday but it is always fun this time of year playing guess the lineup and even better if you know for certain that your team will be coming to tapes the following year. Next....

    Newcastle Announcement 27 September

Only if George found a pot of gold in that hole which developed at the entry to the first bend during the match against Edinburgh on Sunday. My guess is. we are running next year and potentially moving to a Monday

    Newcastle Announcement 27 September

Yes and Ben Powell is coming out of retirement to manage the team. He is changing the colours to Red and White, he has bought the naming rights to our stadium and from 2016 we will race at the Sports Direct Arena @ Newcastle Stadium.
  4. I think the Monarchs have too much top end strength for us and they always seem to perform at Brough so this may come down to the reserves. Will be an interesting match as always good to watch the Cookie Monster around Brough and he had a couple of great battles with Richie a few years back. Elbows at the ready!!!

    Where Was Cookie Today?

Yeah he certainly doesn't back all the Brits, look how he shafted Howarth for a couple of suspect foreigners!!

The Bspa Premier League Meeting Before The Plrc

Your probably not to far off the mark with that statement. Robert Smiths chippy is the best by far, always helps cheer me up when the Diamonds has had an arse kicking from them Bandits!!!
  7. Would rather have either of those two than Kus, strange choice in my mind. If Kus gates he's very good, if not forget it!!!
  8. Another vintage away performance by the Diamonds. Hope somebody has put a rocket up all of them in time for Sunday as no excuse for a performance like that.
  9. Why can't we use Kyle Newman instead of Matej Kus, Kyle has a 6.67 average I believe and Plymouth and Poole aren't racing???
  10. Has George still not given you that back!!! People will always want you to do better and if you win by 55 - 35 they will want 60 - 30 the next time and so on and so on. I personally don't care, prefer the win but as long as the racing is good that will do me. Obviously I don't want to go and watch a team get hammered ever week. The race between Wells and Worrall reminded me and probably most on the people on the terrace about what speedway is all about, but sadly those races now a days are few and far between. People have mentioned the Owen brothers and I was only young at the time but I used to love to go and watch them week in week out, along with Beaton, Emerson and Hunter (and of course Robbie Foy!!!!) and often could not wait for the next home match. I think the same can be said for when Larsen and Bach rode for use (speaking of Larsen, did any of the Diamonds fans catch his performance in Sweden on Tuesday night, outstanding!!!!). How I miss those days

    Lewis Kerr Out Of Hospital

Fantastic news that he is out of hospital after such a series accident and in such a short period of time. I also found this article as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-33885128
  12. I hope you are referring to Benitez and not Konopka!!!
  13. Your quick off the mark, the dust hasn't even settled from the Worky match yet!!

Best wishes to Lewis and all of his family. Speedy recovery, thinking of u and your family.
  16. I'm coming to watch this one from Newcastle as staying over so hoping the weather holds off. Gutted Lewis Kerr not riding though.

    Newcastle 2015

Not really the change I was looking for!!!, Does he make us any stronger, no not really. This reminds me of the Jamie Smith incident, I'm sure he got injured, was replaced and then didn't want to come back/didn't come back, hope the same does not happen with Rose as would be a shame to lose a good talented English rider from our team. Looking at weather forecast for Sunday, might not get to see Aarnio make his debut. Interesting to see the scores for Ludvig, Simon and Anton last night, clearly shows nothing wrong with them or equipment so to me clearly shows the track at Brough needs sorting out, looks like we need a bit more material on the outside line for them to prosper. We appear to have no home track advantage, further cemented by the Sheffield result.
  18. Is Hansen still at reserve for the Comets?

    Swindon 2015

Good to see Rosco current GB Team Manager looking after the interests of British riders and British speedway!!! I hope Ward does not get a permit and Rosco and Swindon have to go crawling back to Howarth because if I was him I would tell them to shove it down under!!!! And we wonder why British speedway has no future!!!

    The Dilemma Of Greg Hancock

I fail to see the point in this remark, so once a team has won the other team/riders should just say f**k it what the point. These guys are racers and they race until the end of the meeting, it is how they make money. Nicki had every right to try and make that pass or do you just want to watch four riders ride around or do you want to see four riders race!!! I would also agree with another comment where philipsr says far more people travel to watch him than you think, I do, I think he is great for the sport and box office. I will await the witch hunt by the other GP riders against Pedersen at Cardiff.
  21. Great result for the Diamonds, unexpected but needed I feel. Great to see all team members contributing equally and although Kerr top scored it looks like we were solid throughout. Did we catch Ippo on an off night, I think so but no better time to do it. Here's hoping we kick on from here and we don't kick ourselves in the teeth on Sunday. Also great to see we did not capitulate after the interval!!! Great result once again.
  22. Not really, the match was close and heading for a really close finish. The Ludde exclusion gave the advantage to the Monarchs and they never looked back. Prior to the exclusion Edinburgh had a 2 point lead, they then gained another 4 after the exclusion which is the amount they won by as the remaining 4 heats were tied 12-12. Therefore, had LL not been excluded I would like to think we may have just pinched the win, but that's just my opinion!!
  23. I enjoyed the match as always when the Monarchs come a calling to Brough. Good hard match with some good hard racing. I do think the ref spoilt the match with the exclusion of Ludde as I think Masters did not leave him enough racing room and in my opinion was the cause of Ludde hitting the deck. On the point of people saying Masters was in front, does this pic assuming it is the one taken before the incident not prove that it was Ludde just in front going into the corner??? http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100398 I think S Worrall is in outstanding form at the moment (both Elite and Premier) and great to watch and as people have said, if the real Christian Henry had turned up we may have gotten something, the same could be said re: his performance the night before at Berwick. Great to see Rose back in amongst the points and looking like he is getting back to his best around Brough. Think it is shocking that S Worrall has not been called into the GP squad when he is in better form than some of the riders picked. Congrats to the Monarch on a great meeting and win but think the result might have been different had the ref made the correct call in my opinion, but thats my opinion.
  24. When you watch the footage you can see that he has no intention of dropping his burger, the bike or someone else is going to have to fight him for it. Only realised recently that the rider was Benji Compton
