Your quick off the mark, the ink has barely dried on last nights programme and you've started this thread. -
Newcastle Diamonds V Ipswich Witches Premier League 10th May 2015 At 6.30pm
diamond@heart replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I agree, if no connection exists then the bike should cut out. If the handlebars snapped, the cut out must still have come out as Leigh was not somersaulting down the centre green with the bike and neither was his arm, therefore the cut out must have been pull and the bike should have died, almost instantly. Out of interest, if a person had gotten injured through that incident, where would the buck have stopped, is the machine examiner, clerk of the course, the rider or no one. I'm not pointing fingers by the way just interested or is it a cause of if you are on the centre green you understand the risks and accept them? Incident nice quite as bad as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qtu8BiGIVA I thought the Diamonds were good and poor in equal measure last night, we had a good hold on the meeting and let Ippo back in for a point (fair game to them, never give up until the last heat). We kept moving off the line coming out of the fourth and a number of times Ippo riders nipped up the inside and frightened our riders off points (reminiscent of Matty Wethers 21 point max!!!). D King was pretty much as I expected, if he made the gate he won, if not forget it, similar to when he rode for us last year. Steve and Christian were very impressive and they look a good middle order partnership. Our reserves seem to be struggling at the moment and Nielsen seems to have a lack of confidence at home. Good to see Rose trying to solve a few issues after the meeting and Ludvig passing on his words of wisdom. All in all still a great win and onwards and upwards hopefully for the Diamonds and hoping Kerr will be back to his best again next week. -

He's at Coventry I believe with Swindon Post #12 "Sheffield’s Josh Bates, who has tasted success guesting for Monarchs, guests instead of Lewis Rose who is with his Elite team Swindon at Coventry." -
Great to see Steady back on a bike, remember him from his days at Newcastle and a superb rider and a superb moment.

Not sure about rider replacement but won't be riding in either fixture. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100371 Makes the job even harder now!!! -
Great to see the advertising Newcastle Speedway have taken out in the back of NE1 magazine, hopefully it will get some more punters to come and watch.

If we gate better than we did up at Berwick we may just hold our own, if not then we are screwed. I think over two legs Worky will be too strong for us but looking forward to both matches. -

Anyone know admission prices, can't find them on Berwick website. -
What yard stick were you using to base this assessment on, any rider practising can look a world beater, put him in a competitive situation with another 3 going for it at the same time and then we find out what he is made of. I once thought Anthony Barlow and Neil Evitts looked impressive around Brough on practice day, that's all I'll say on that topic. I hope your team does well but I think that statement may bite you on the arse or worse still someone may beat you with the yard stick you were using!!!

I am right in my understanding that the practice sessions this year are 22nd March and 23rd March, with the 23rd having representatives from all northern clubs again??

What Are You Looking Forward To This Season?
diamond@heart replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The chips at Robert Smiths In Berwick. ☺ ☺ ☺ -
Does anyone know why Newcastle Speedway don't advertise in the NE1 magazine. All of the local sporting teams seem to have a mention under the sport section of the listings in the back of the magazine except the speedway. Looks like an opportunity missed in my eyes?? I think you can just email them @ listings@ne1magazine.co.uk, might be worth a punt what with the start of the season fast approaching and the magazine for March due out soon I believe.

English said: "We are delighted to have Lewis Kerr on board, he made rapid strides last year and he just needs to continue that this year. It is an important season for him under the team Revolution banner and although he won’t start the season at number one, it will be his aim to finish there." I have just looked at the final averages on BSPA and they are as follows: L Kerr - 7.54 S Worrall - 7.46 L Lindgren - 7.12 C Henry - 6.69 A Rosen - 6.61 So by my reckoning it should be Lewis Kerr, I am not sure if the final averages have Bonus Points on them and whether these need to be factored in which may alter the above averages and therefore make S Worrall our No. 1??? Answers on a postcard to: WHOISTHEDIAMONDSNO1FOR2015 c/o Newcastle Speedway Newcastle Stadium Somewhere up north etc

Does this rule have any bearing on our team as we have 3 Brits, 2 Swedes, 1 Dane and 1 Aussie who has an English wife??
-
How's that? His brother has one 1 world title and may never win another and his other brother don't get me started. Just because everyone says he's great does not mean he is. Also as his brother with some ability thinks our track is c$$p unlikely he would tell him to come to us. So it's a No from moi. How's that? Hmm looks very very similar to the team I suggested earlier, copy cat!!!😃😃

Based on this comment and the fact that I think George said any of the previous 7 were in with a shout of a team place: "I have been told any one of the five main body riders we are going to have could be the number one so it should be a strong team.” Lewis Kerr 7.54 Ludvig Lindgren 7.12 (the people champ or The White Knights anyway!!!) Lewis Rose 4.15 Nathan Greaves 3.00 (as could not fit Simon Nielsen in) Christian Henry 6.24 (not sure if he has retired) Steve Worrall 7.46 Anton Rosen 6.69 Total 42.20 Do we think the team will look similar to this??

Yes its: Lewis Kerr Lewis Rose A N Other A N Other A N Other A N Other and our hot Danish prospect A N Andre Team to beat I believe, loads of potential on paper and if A N Other lives up to expectations I believe he will average in excess of 10.50. :D -
Or Nicki Pedersen and we are awaiting to see if the surgery on his shoulder has been a success!!!
