Who Is The Best Pl Number One Ever?

I think he was better in 1982 and 1983, amazing. Also one of my favourite riders, great to watch and entertaining, not in the same league as Joe Owen but still an outstanding rider of his era and one of the best riders seen at Brough over the years. Year..Club..Meetings..Rides..Points..Bonus..Average..Maximums 1982..Newcastle..40..198..473..28..10.12..5F..3P 1983..Newcastle..40..217..548..22..10.51..7F..6P 1990..Middlesbro'..40..205..486..23..9.93..8F..2P (still a great achievement as I believe he was in his 30's at this point). http://wwosbackup.proboards.com/thread/1355

    Newcastle 2015

I'm not panicking, just be nice to know that's all. I think if they announced it sooner, may have increased season ticket sales, always make good Chrimbo presents. Cheers Tsunami. I can never make it anyway as it always clashes with my office party. Will have to keep checking websites, twitter, facebook etc.

No Robert Lambert I see, destination Peterborough Panthers. I was hoping he would hook up with his pal The Kerrminator. I wonder when they will make further announcements, possibly the Diamonds Christmas Party?

    Newcastle 2015

I believe he was supposed to ride for us against the Monarchs at the end of the season and George had booked him well in advance only for Mr Worrall to go to the final GP of the year instead, on the I believe were some peoples words.

    Newcastle 2015

One thing is for sure we won't have Rene Bach back with us anytime soon as he has penned a deal with Workington. I was hoping one day he would return back to the Diamonds but was unaware that the Comets have bought him outright, bit of shame. Don't know what others peoples thoughts are on Bach returning, mute point I know but... With regard to the rest of the team, I am glad Rose is on board as I thought he was brilliant last year especially when he had to ride at the number two spot for most of it, not an easy number to race at. I would like to see Robbo, Ludvig and Kerr back and if the Monarchs have to offload a rider maybe Masters as we have no chance of getting Cookie. I thought Greaves was impressive at Brough last year and it would be a toss up between him and Nielsen for the final reserve spot, with Greaves just shading it (for me). I would like to see Rosen back but the 2013 version not the 2014 version as I thought he was not himself this year and never really got into the groove this year. I think Ostergaard may be worth a look or Wells as they both go well around Brough and think it would be great to have Richie 'The St Helens Super Hero' Worrall back but unlikely after what happened at the end of the season. I appreciate that I have probably just named about 10 riders in that paragraph but hopefully just food for thought. Hopefully 2015 will be a better season on track.

    Redcar 2015.

No surprise in that answer, I think you would rather have a cardboard cut out than Ludvig!!!

Who Is The Best Pl Number One Ever?

Could not agree more, have not seen a better rider since Joe Owen. Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne, Craig Watson and Carl Stonehewer to name a few have entertained, but I don't think any of them come close. Just my opinion. Matej Zagar - really, how can you include him, he was frightened to travel north of the Watford Gap!!!!

    Your Team's Best Team

Nice team but I would switch Kerr, Blackburn and Tom Owen for Nicki P, Rod Hunter and Kenni L. Sadly no place in my team for Robbie Foy!!!!!

    Scunthorpe Vs Newcastle 27/06/14

I see according to updates Klindt was stuck on M18, judging by the Diamonds performance so were most of them. Never looked like we got into the meeting.

    Nicki Pedersen. Mbe ?

I bet no witch hunt appeared on here for that incident. Mind you I bet most of the Pedersen haters will still find a way to blame him for it.
  21. Its now pi$$ING down in Newcastle.
  22. Just going off post 1714 in the Berwick 2014 thread. Don't need any psychiatric help thanks, fine as I am.
  23. I believe Rose had a practice on Wednesday and appeared to come through it OK judging by pics on Twitter and probably included in the match tonight against Brummies?. No Mills I believe after he suffered concussion on Sunday and probably no Schramm and a pick of the crop for King as he has highest PL average I believe. Only other match on Sunday is James Grieves Testimonial, so step forward Craig Cook or Richard Lawson??? I believe Berwick are considering changes according to the Berwick 2014 thread, not sure if it will be in time for Sunday. Could be a close one this one but hoping we can get back to winning ways.
  24. I hope the weather forecast improves for this one as the way it is looking at the moment it maybe highly unlikely it going ahead and if it does, probably won't be a classic.

    Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}

I totally disagree and think Ludvig is a great team rider and team man, he may not be the most consistent but is entertaining to watch and always gives 100%. I also think as mentioned his team riding skills are great, just watch his ride with Mills on Sunday to get 5-1, he was constantly looking over his shoulder keeping one eye on the opposition and one eye on his partner. I do agree that certain people appear to be out to get him. Henry is a good rider and should not have been dropped but he is more of a gate and go than Ludvig and was appalling at passing from the back and a number of years ago would not entertain the concept of team riding a lesser rider home, and is still guilty of this now. One thing about Henry is that usually after about 1-2 laps, the position he was in at that point is often the position he finished in and I very really saw him busting a gut and chasing down a rider like you often see Robbo, Kerr and Ludvig do. As you say we are all entitled to our opinion.
