    Official Teams For 2012

You can add Christian Henry to Newcastle. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/motorsport-news/newcastle-diamonds/2011/12/13/henry-returns-to-diamonds-as-sneddon-departs-72703-29942736/

    Nominations 2011

Agree with the first 3, not sure about Richardson/Nicholls, defo not Nicholls.

    Pepe

I think the GP organisers should tell him to sling his hook, if he could be bothered to do any of the other rounds he was eligible for why should he be able to pick and choose. I am not a fan of Davey Watt but I think he should be the one riding in the last GP not bloody Pepe.
  6. A very enjoyable evening which the weather tried to spoil but failed. All riders gave it a real good go with some very good races. George's dad seemed to be enjoying himself turning back the years. Great night George well done and thanks for the greats years in a Diamonds race jackets both a fully fledged Diamond and as a guest. PS. Did anyone snap up any of the race jackets on offer in the bar afterwards??

We probably will never know but Kenni has beaten Rene a number of times around Brough this year but I think Rene had the beating of Kenni yesterday so I think Rene could have won it, and I do think that we may have had a 1-2 if they had not tangled. I agree it would have been alot more interesting had Mark ridden. Saw you in the thick of the celebrations after the meeting, you seemed to be enjoying yourself.

Congrats to Kenni Larsen on a fantastic win but have to say that I am totally gutted for Rene Bach as I think he at least deserved a rostrum place. Well done to Howe who I thought was really good as was Fisher , who I thought was hard charging all nite without being dirty and his outside pass in 15 I think was brilliant. Once again big congrats to Kenni and chin up to Rene bach, the title will be yours next year.

Shocking, how that place did not go to Ashworth is beyond me, I feel the poor lad has been robbed and I for one will be staying away from this meeting in protest, as defending champion he should have been included.

Yes I think it should but that would probably reduce the crowd quite a lot. I always thought that the PLRC should be the best 16 riders in the league, irrespective of what club they ride for, provided they have completed a certain number of matches, to stop clubs bringing in ringers. I have nothing against Ricky but just as he is defending champion does not mean he should automatically get a pick. If he had got injured at the started of the season and declared himself fit in time for this meeting, he would therefore be given a slot, having only eraned it by being defending champion. I think Josh is in the meeting as he has earned it and been the most consistent Sheffield rider, it is unfortunate that Ricky's form dropped off at a key moment.

What a total and utter load of crap!!!! So if Manchester United were defending Champions League champions they should automatically be seeded to the final or if Valentino Rossi is current Moto GP champion he should be given a 150 point start so as to be be able to defend his title. Ashworth has not been good enough (over the season) to automatically qualify therefore should not automatically get a pick/sympathy pick. He has to earn the right, like the other 15 in the field.

Looking at the above would not appear so, supposed the one thing going against Lemon is that Newcastle already have two riders. Wonder if we will find out Joe's replacement before Sunday?

It was meant as a joke, not that I think Lasse is a joke. But if Ricky Ashworth does get the place vacated by Joe Screen then the meeting is a total farce. No doubt he will to try and get more home based fans to attend.

No its not. probably will be Ashworth, don't think he deserves it, should be Lemon or another Glasgow rider. How about Lasse Bjerre!!!
  16. Why is Kenneth Bjerre riding for Glasgow!!!, Hope this means we are getting Nicki P in the Diamonds team

  19. Really looking forward to this meeting as think George is a fab bloke, hope he gets decent weather and a good crowd and some top riders turn out for him.

    Cardiff 2011

You may no doubt see me in the lobby for a swift half, although I do not usually arrive down in Cardiff until late on Friday night as I have to wait for my girlfriend finishing work.

Out of interest, why do you think this hotel is Not great??
  23. Well done to Bomber for picking himself off the deck on a couple of occasions and winning the British title, well deserved. Also well done to Daniel King who I thought was very impressive last night. Last and by now means least, won done to Jason King, I thought he did himself proud and the Diamonds proud, ps. how old was that photo of Jason. I understand that Nicholls was gutted at not winning the title but in his interview at the end he came across as though he does not care about Cardiff, if that is the case, then don't go mate (its not as though you don't need the practice at beating the big guys, never seen you do it yet!!!), give it to Barker who seemed excited about his entry into the British final and the prospect of getting to Cardiff. I was disapointed with Simon Stead last night, I thought, based on recent performances (over the weekend) on the continent that he would do something last night and claim the wild card slot, based on last nights performance, I would give the wild card to Barker but as it is, it has gone to Nicholls.
