Have a listen to Bears Live TV, that will give you a couple of starters, but the clue is already there. -

As King has gone to Redcar, he certainly hasn’t gone for the money. More than one rider has recently agreed to sign for a club but then made excuses and signed for someone who has waved the ‘ cheque book ‘ , and it isn’t Glasgow ! -

Maybe that clubs being honest with their supporters about finances might stop some of them winging about the lack of this and the lack of that and not signing the likes of a Tai Woffinden instead of an Ashley Morris ? -
Any rider who improves his average by 1:5 points has done incredibly well. I’m sure that if he just improves on the assessed 2 the club and the fans will be happy. Remember Tom Wooley ? the Redcar fans loved him.

Northern Junior League 2022

Well I know the match took place as I was there but it may not have been on the date published. -
Not exactly a surprise with the current cost of living. The ‘ Free ‘ bit will benefit some but the club still has to pay the council the bills and no doubt a slightly higher wage bill so a rise was to be expected. Still cheaper than some championship clubs and you get second half racing every week so more races for your money.

Shows you how daft speedway rules are when Ashton Boughen gets lumbered with a 4:95 Average after just a month of league racing and Killeen is still on a 3

Redcar and Teesside results from the team managers and the teams Facebook pages, which are quite good .Some others off the only 2 updates given by the ‘ league co-ordinator ‘. Most of the refs didn’t know the rules so didn’t bother taking details or just gave out wrong results. I can troll back and get the last lot of results but won’t have scorers or heat details. -
Jenkins may not ride in the NDL if he gets a Premiership place combined with Poland and Kiean Boughen is no where near NDL standard yet.

I think every club in the championship spoke to him but he only agreed to sign for one…..Glasgow.

Whoever the 2 pointer is , he isn’t going to get much riding in the NDL with only 10 matches or less .

Newcastle speedway

There are a number of examples of only ONE promoter being at a club, you only have to look down the road at Redcar who have only had one on a number of recent years under Havelock and his follow up Keay. And before anyone mentions it CVS was not a promoter but a director as the rules did not allow you to ‘promote’ at more than one club but then we know how rules can be interpreted in speedway . -
King's Lynn Young Stars 2023?
Fortythirtyeight replied to Bagpuss's topic in National League Speedway
Bit touchy aren’t we ? I simply asked where the riders were to come from ? Grass track is in just as bad a state as speedway, very few meetings , even less youngsters on proper slide type machinery. You are actually right in that we don’t do enough to encourage people into taking up the sport but that’s a vicious circle, they see the state speedway is in and don’t give it a second thought., but it’s not me you want to be having a go at, try the BSPL! -
‘Pay’ comes in many different forms in this sport .
-
and ‘policed’ by the very people who give them….
-
Winning shiny objects means little to most riders, money means a heck of a lot more.

King's Lynn Young Stars 2023?
Fortythirtyeight replied to Bagpuss's topic in National League Speedway
and just where are all these extra NDL standard riders coming from ? With the rumours that Workington and Kings Lynn are entering that’s another 14 to find. Yes, there’s a few coming through from the 250’s but only a couple and no doubt they will simply replace the few that traditionally ‘retire’ over the winter so let’s not get carried away with ‘new’ teams coming along as there simply isn’t enough competent riders to go around. -
No, they usually end up where they can get the best deal.
-
Heeps! Can’t see Redcar wanting him , can’t see the King / Worrall option either. Isn’t Mulford a grass tracker ? Redcar will have a third of their home fixtures on a Sunday so doubt that works for them and may cause issues with Riss riding in Poland. If Kerr doesn’t come back can see an Edinburgh heat leader who guested a few times being linked. The limit will be higher than 38 now there are so few teams.
-
Can’t see Matt Ford letting his favourite rider go anywhere, if he’s releasing a heat leader more likely Worrall. With Wright already in and Jenkins and Edwards as assets they are probably in, don’t think they want to change the team much from last season as Kerr and Riss were very popular so I’d think Newman would be looking for a track closer to the south coast and Anderson might be the sacrificial one . Jordan Stewart to reappear with a NDL ‘star’ to come in ?, Pijper-Boughen-Harrison-Trigger ??? as a big gamble .

You may wish to check how many of your astute three are actually on the top table committee and therefore already in a position to make sure the right decisions are made.
