1. Danny King 2. Jason Edwards 3. Connor Mountain/Drew Kemp 4. Leon Flint 5. Charles Wright 6. Jake Mulford 7. Luke Harrison Erik Riss (to Edinburgh?), Connor Bailey (to Workington?), Danyon Hume (???) Out Leon Flint, Connor Mountain and Luke Harrison In Keeps the main core of last years pretty successful team together but... 1. Replacing the unreliable (last year anyway, understandably) Riss with Flint, who needs a change from Berwick imo 2. Replacing Connor Bailey with Connor Mountain/Drew Kemp... Pretty like for like tbh, but I can see Bailey leaving for Workington 3. Bringing in Luke Harrison (which I think is pretty nailed on) for Danyon Hume, who I just can't see back at Redcar next year for some reason... Hopefully Charles is fit in time for the new season... Another option for that number 3 position would be Kyle Newman or Jonas Knudsen... All similar riders, depends on who's available/lowest price etc... Can't see Tom Brennan at Redcar

If there is to be two leagues... The championship ought to have teams at this kind of strength really... (totally hypothetical team, not my edinburgh suggestion at all) 1. Josh Pickering 2. Bastian Borke 3. Paco Castagna 4. Lasse Fredriksen 5. Jake Allen 6. Connor Coles 7. Luke Harrison Not only would this type of team be more financially viable for the clubs in the CL... But it would reduce the gap between the NL and CL and increase the gap between the PL and CL... Which would combat two of British speedway's biggest problems... The lack of progression for youngsters (because the step up from the NL to the CL is ridiculous) and doubling up between the PL and CL. I'd like to see the Rising star rule implemented in the CL and also a maximum of 2 double up between the PL and CL riders per team... (Pickering and Allen in this example)

Not much to worry about then? Glad you have your life in that much order, well done mate

I would suggest considering who keeps downplaying every post with Luke Harrison's name in... It would be him elsewhere?

Honestly... I don't think the racing was that bad at any point during the week... Yeah it got better as each meeting passed, but there was still some good racing in the first semi... Don't forget safety glasses and hearing protection... -

Aye... The semis didn't have the best racing (Although it's better than most the cr@p we watch here, it was absolutely nowhere near 'some of the worst speedway you're likely to see anywhere in the world' like you say) but the whole atmosphere, event just was second to none... Poland is such a magical country, not just speedway wise... Seeing the sights of Wroclaw was something to behold and the evenings on the centre square was beautiful. Weather was perfect also and the trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines near Krakow were once in a life time... Cardiff... I've been there, done that and it's lost its novelty with me and many others it seems... Nothing special anymore. Although I'd still rather it was held there over Manchester, that would be a logistical nightmare... Bad public transport to and around the stadium, no parking, no hotels nearby (other than the tiny Diamond lodge, which is ideal for Belle Vue meetings but not big events...) and that's not even mentioning the inappropriate venue for such an event... (VENUE not track) No thank you. -

Nail hit firmly on the head... This country is f''ed. I decided this year to do the full week in Poland for the SWC over a weekend in Cardiff, because it was a similar price (despite the length difference) Poland is way more interesting and the racing/atmosphere is was better over there anyway... But mainly the price is what swayed it for me. -
There's going to be so few teams next year than Wolves and Birmingham alternating weeks is probably possible...

Swedish league 2024 round 3 Tuesday 21st May
Diamonds85 replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
@lorenzo558 Sorry. I have another question, this time about Allsvenskan. What are the meeting team building rules for that league? Are they the same as Bauhaus? Also, what are 'Gästförare'. I understand they're 'guest riders' but how do they work? Are they allowed to race in every meeting?/Only as injury cover?/can more than one guest rider ride in one meeting? Cheers -

Do the averages that add up to the 11,000 update as the season goes, or is it start of season averages? For example Mateusz Cierniak started the season on 1,250 and I am unsure of his average now, or if he even rode at all for Lejonen, but if he did and he averaged 2,000 over the season for example, Does the 1,250 or the 2,000 count towards the meeting averages? I hope that makes sense... -

It's a question I'm sure that's been asked before but... What are the team line up rules for the Swedish league? Do they not need to have a Swedish junior at reserve? Do they need a minimum amount of Swedes named in the raceday team? Cheers -
It would be nice to see Workington head up into the Championship and start with them 3 at number 2 and reserves...

Why isn't Chris harris riding tonight? -
Ashton Boughen will be topping this list very soon. I can't believe how good he is turning out to be, and he's only 15. Very exciting for the future

Speaking of which... I know the ref was rushing the meeting through, but I thought it was a bit harsh to put the 2 minutes on for the riders while Max Perry was still picking himself up on the first bend after a rather nasty looking crash... Luckily he made it to the tapes with seconds to spare, somehow...

Already signed with Glasgow as far as I'm aware

Very disappointed with the Berwick fans around me who cheered as Paul Starke went head first into the safety fence and looked to be in some discomfort. Quotes such as 'serves you right' 'even stevens' and 'that's what you get' were the things I heard. Yes Paul may have taken Connor Coles off a few races prior and Connor was unfairly excluded for it, but shouting things such as that to a rider who is down on the track potentially seriously hurt is disgusting. Although this is what I've come to expect from the Berwick fans, so it's hardly surprising... Always were like that when they visited Brough. Few baduns spoil it for the rest I know. Luckily Paul wasn't seriously hurt and very nearly won heat 14, if it weren't for Schlein's wonderful pass (which seems to be a rare occurrence at Shielfield these days?) This was my first speedway meeting for a while and probably will be my last until next year now, very dull, very little passing, experienced riders struggling to get round, and missing half the race because I'm busy picking dust out of my eyes all the time. NDL meeting was actually quite good though, other than the stricken riders, (Did Max Perry's helmet come off when he came down??? It was hard to tell from the 3rd bend) Ashton Boughen is special.

Perhaps he could sign Zmarzlik, Jaonwoski, Vaculik and Bewley as a top 4 while he's at it
