Dan and Joe Thompson rode in this meeting when the Poole leg of the grand final was rained off. They then didn't need Kyle and used r/r instead of Kieron.

Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
Gambo95 replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When it mattered holder scored 8+1 from 8 races (not good for a number 1 GP rider). Ref was wrong (for me in heat 3), but holder keeps 3rd in 13 and muselak keeps 2nd in heat 11 and they win with the heat 15 5-1. -

Seen something that looked like a cylinder on a bike that Ash-tec was trialing in Bydgoszcz so possibly that? -
Seems to happen a few times. Was at the Abbey farewell while on holiday and Swindon run for another 3 or 4 years. Would be good if Edinburgh had another 3 or 4 years to finally secure a new home. Any news on the jubilee trophy? Best wishes to Ulrich now he has retired. Used to be good to watch at Berwick.

BERWICK v MILDENHALL (Play-off, 1st leg) SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8th
Gambo95 replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
The decisions you have made so far in his career have been good. Keep it up. Remember some of the best races on a night were with Luke and Sam on their 125's. Great to see the two of them making great progress along with Ace. Shame I was at a wedding on Saturday night as I seem to have missed an entertaining meeting. -

According to Speedway friends on Facebook Greg's season is over so would expect Berwick to need one guest at least (failed to recover fully from a head knock in Keith hamblin post). -
Glasgow v Poole/Plymouth Sunday 25 September 2022 - Semi-final Championship Play offs
Gambo95 replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Rider in gate 1 not at the tapes either. -
Something like that (Crang would be in the meeting if it was the top 16 average riders (would be no Edinburgh or Plymouth riders though). Need representatives from all clubs for it being a divisional riders championship.
-
Seems to be 2 riders from each team. Kyle pulled out the second match (riding for Plymouth I think) of the double header. Crang is 3rd (riding), Ace is 4th (21 day concussion according to Speedway Star), mason (5th) in the current months averages.

Edinburgh v Redcar Play offs
Gambo95 replied to Yearbyred's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Maybe so. I was there two weeks running and sure Nick Morris and Riss were only beat in one race each (if my memory is correct) earlier in the season. Sure I watched the Glasgow stream and the same thing (cannot remember who only dropped one point). As you say very difficult but not impossible. -
Edinburgh v Redcar Play offs

I must be getting confused. I thought someone said you can only guest for one team in the playoffs? Didn't Aaron race for Plymouth last night. -
Period of mourning. No sport activities.

Tend to agree whilst on my break at work. Think each event should be looked at individually. If the teams/players are ok, there is medical cover, stewards etc (if required) and everything else is in place the event should take place. As was mentioned earlier you can go to the royal opera House if you want. I agree for the funeral for events being cancelled that day as a mark of respect. -
Tuesday 6th September - Playoff First Leg - Plymouth v Poole
Gambo95 replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It cannot be that easy. Mildenhall still have 2 meetings (as well as Kent). These teams don't have championship teams also. Unbelievable that Berwick at Leicester has been punted due to a meeting that had a postponement in May. -
Tuesday 6th September - Playoff First Leg - Plymouth v Poole
Gambo95 replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thanks. Why are they not moving the cut off date this year like they do every other year? See Berwick at Leicester has been moved from next Saturday (wonder if the development league cut off point has been moved)? -

How is it a dead rubber? Would Plymouth not go above Redcar and Edinburgh if they won. This would change the matches to Edinburgh v Plymouth and Poole v Redcar. -

Bickley has a jarred neck muscle. On the Berwick website saying he misses out while Leon and Ace compete. -
Berwick v Scunthorpe 27/08/22 7pm
Gambo95 replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Might be another meeting at Berwick if the website report is anything to go by (meeting report). Only bad thing about last night was Flinty and Jamie being interviewed with junior races going on. You missed half of what was being said (could the juniors not have waited for five minutes or interview when the races change over). Great to see another win to end the season on. -
Berwick v Scunthorpe 27/08/22 7pm
Gambo95 replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Is he a good team captain? With that being the case surely the team manager would have dropped him from his last race last night (with Adam being unbeaten in 3 races at the time). Or is it the team managers fault with Adam not being in heat 14 also? -
Richard Lawson and Kasper Anderson are the guests. So it says on the Berwick Facebook page.
-
If Redcar need Berwick to win would you not go for Wright? If he scores poorly then his team Redcar would be out the playoffs. Pickering or any of the others would be a good shout if the result doesn't matter to Redcar.
-
Did Berwick not use Glasgow to support a working 28 day visa? Don't think he raced without a visa as if he got caught he would be banned from the country for a couple of years at least.

GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE

No idea as my stream has been freezing for the last 3 heats. -

Pay a premium for this? Same last time when I had Redcar v Berwick. Will avoid in future. -
Watching Berwick on the stream. Berwick the same as the commentators (watching but on mute).
-
Hopefully you are right with the predictions. Thought Berwick mentioned that they needed to win the last four matches (including Plymouth) and for results to go their way to get in.
