  1. Has anyone got a programme (pushing my luck 2) from this meeting. I would be veryinterested if they are available... Cheers Geoff
  2. Sorry. Could anyone explain which aspect of the Super7even is new? Anyone would think we've never had a British final, or a Premier Fours before! The only difference I see is that the BSPA have at last persuaded someone to market the meetings. Is he saying that the marketing has surpassed all expectations? I disagree. The British final experienced it's hay days back in the 70's when the British Champion had to qualify through the rounds, and the top finishers qualified to the next stage of the World Championships. The Peter Collins, Chris Mortons, Kenny Carters, Michael Lees, Malcolm Simmons, John Louis (I could go on) were riding for their country and it really meant something to be the British Champion. What new venture? All the meetings have a rich history and have been tried and tested over the years. They only started to fail when the BSPA interfered with them. He could have learned from the history books but chose instead to do it his own way. Which means I'll do what I like. Publicity is high, crowds have increased, ? Presentation is laughable and lessons from the past have been ignored. Mr. Chapman is basking in his own publicity and seems to be aspiring to become the Ole Olsen of the Super7even. I hope he doesn't give up his day job...
  3. Ben Hopwood, Scott Anderson, Shane Waldron, Karlis (Ezergalis), James Cockle, Joe Haines, Byron Bekker, Adam Roynon, Greg Blair, David Speight, Gary Flint, Sam Dore, Simon Lambert, Scott Richardson, Jack Roberts, Ben Taylor. James Cockle has to be the pre-meeting favourite and it'll be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure. The rest of the field seems well balanced with only a couple who will be out of their depth which usually leads to good racing as they battle for every last point. There is prize money going well down the line-up, and a S*T*A*R*S award for their 'most exciting rider'. These meetings are ALWAYS entertaining, and you will be watching the stars of the future.

Just seen on the official Sheffield website; MEETING POSTPONED It's been raining since the early hours, and looks set to continue well into the afternoon so it doesn't come as a surprise...

Latest line-up (on the official Sheffield website) shows Jack's place has gone to Garry Flint...
  8. I doubt that Cardiff would try to compete with Mr Chapman, and that all the Scottish fans would understand that a Scottish Grand Prix should be at a neutral venue. As far as I'm concerned this was the final straw Goodbye and good riddance
  9. And there we have the reason why I will NEVER, EVER visit Kirky Lane EVER AGAIN. If that's the only way they have of making the racing "interesting" then they shouldn't even be allowed to participate at Conference level. It's only my opinion, but it's heartfelt.
  10. The DVD was on sale at Mick Gregory's track shop on Thursday.
  11. I think it's time for Lewis to start worrying about the advice he's being given.
  12. Residents Chris Spires and Andy Garner were present, plus a.n.other whom I didn't recognise...
