Heat 12 was more like it.

    Wolves v Panthers 13/9

This is dross, barely a pass of note. Only interesting because of the importance of the result for league position. Doubt we'll see B*yawn*e again, pants! Could be the worst meeting I've seen at Monmore.
  3. Or is everyone watching Poland v England? Is Valentin Grobauer fit after R/R of late. Assume Bears are as they were for the home meeting with Kent at the weekend- Charles Wright, James Sarjeant, Jake Allen, Lewis Kerr, Michael Palm Toft, Ryan Kinsley, Jordan Jenkins.
  4. Got to feel a little for Gorzow, injuries to their two preferred reserves, Vaculik & Wozniak meant they couldn't keep pace with Wroclaw at the top of the table.
  5. Not convinced Wroclaw will win in Lublin, yes the top 3 are better than Lublin's but they could be carrying the other 5 because the Lublin lower end is so good. Don't expect the Wroclaw reserves will get more than a point between them, Bewley & Chugonov could struggle for points also.
  6. If Gorzow can sneak a small lead into heat 10, they can win on aggregate, their top 4 is stronger than Lublin's but the Lublin tail is much better, compared the other 6 Ekstraliga teams the Gorzow tail is decent but Lampart, Cierniak & Kubera are light years ahead.

    Birmingham Brummies 2020

After the last two meetings at Perry Barr where the supporters spent more time watching tractors go around the track than 500cc bikes and the woeful showing at Edinburgh. I think it's time to pray the Brummies are with us in 2022. Absolute disaster of a season.
  9. I haven't tried that route, I have got on the M6, got on the M5, got off next junction and Black Country Routed from West Brom it to Willenhall (which is not great but bearable) after that it gets awful! I don't know Walsall at all, but Sat Nav has tried taking me further along the A34, which is possibly a better option I just don't know the route.
  10. I'm not convinced Wright was the rider to complain, he was already on the back straight ready for heat 5 (along with Shanes & Morris) when the Dave Rowe asked the clerk of the course to speak to the referee over the PA (which I could hear as the tractor wasn't going around).
  11. The A34 is stop & start due to traffic lights, regardless of roadworks, that isn't really the issue especially that late. If the M6/M54 are clear I can get home in 20 minutes from Perry Barr, the roadworks at M6 junction 10 are the issue, it's taken me nearly 2 hours to get home recently. I'll deal with it if the meeting ends at 21:15 as normal but any later and the build up of traffic crawling towards junction 10 is far worse, it's been a crawl from just after the M5 junction a couple of times.
  12. Funny man, you obviously haven't endured the M6 junction 10 after 21:00 recently.
  13. @Bellers101 confused about what?
  14. It wasn't dusty at all last week. Brummies had obviously set their bikes up for the track as it was prepared 16-8 when I left. Teeside Diva's hadn't.
  15. I'd still like to know which riders weren't prepared to ride the track. Sure it wasn't Wright, Kerr or MPT. Surely a home team have the privilege of preparing their track to their liking? Anyway that'll be my last live speedway for the season, next year it looks like every meeting I attend will be a 70+ mile round trip. Thanks Redcar Diva's!
  16. First time for everything. *borrows nephews Pirate hat* but only after I've borrowed his Tiger onesie
  17. The best indication I have of track conditions at Perry Barr, other than those visible to me (dust, soggy patches, ruts - none of those before I left) is the attitude of Thomas entering the turns. It's consistent, he rides the track week-in, week-out, I see him every match. What do you want me to do, get Tatum's dirt-o-metre out and and go check the track myself.
  18. What Birmingham hype? What the centre-green chap was saying or Dave Rowe in the box? Nope, couldn't hear them, the tractors were drowning them out. If there was a problem with the track I'd expect Thomas to be cautious entering the corners, as he has been when that is the case all year, but tonight he wasn't - won heat 2, kept MPT honest in heat 4.
  19. But has riders that refuse to ride if a track isn't to their liking, no thanks. As I said Wright was on track ready for heat 5, Kerr won heat 4 by a mile, MPT gave Riss a race in heat 4. Who complained? My first visit to PB this year was that disastrous KO cup clash and tonight will probably be my last visit.
  20. Well done to them, I'll be supporting the other 5 teams in the playoffs. Even Poole!
  21. Left after heat 4 after watching various tractors going around, with the A34 roadworks & M6 junction 10 an absolute disaster I can't afford to be leaving Perry Barr close to 22:00. Whoever was wearing a Redcar top walking the track waving at the crowd was enough for me. I'd like to know which Redcar rider complained, Wright was out on track ready for heat 5, Kerr had won heat 3 by a mile and MPT gave Riss a decent race in heat 4. If the Perry Barr track is bad, you can usually tell by how cautious Thomas is entering the turns, not the case tonight he was keeping pace with Riss & MPT in heat 4.
  22. Could catch Edinburgh if they win the last 4 fixtures, tonight being the toughest looking. Newcastle home & away then it could all come down to Monarchs visit to Perry Barr. If Brummies don't win tonight I'd think the playoffs are out of sight.
  23. Looking at the averages Castagna needs a few off nights, else Grobauer will drop to reserve, then they'll be in trouble.
  24. I wasn't suggesting anyone should stay at home to watch the foootball I was just surprised no thread had been posted about the fixture less than 24 hours before.
