  1. Awful spectacle, no racing line other than an inch from the fence. Torun still haven't won a heat, Lambert is the only visitor yet to concede a 5-1.
  2. Check out where Lambert is in the Ekstraliga Averages that makes him Torun's #1, it's neither the club nor riders fault that they choose to take advantage of the rather ridiculous #8 rule. I didn't know you were an expert on Ekstraliga finances but Laguta would never have chosen a relegation battle with Torun over a potential championship title with Wroclaw. Torun are likely to avoid relegation so mission complete. This is not the most entertaining of meetings so far, Czestchowa track usually produces good racing but hosts are too quick.
  3. It is sportowefakty reported injury to Przedpełski two minutes before heat 1.
  4. Fairplay to Swidnicki he must have known what was coming but went for the gap anyway. Miedziński Miedzińskied himself
  5. Don't watch it live so I can whizz through the prattle. Didn't realise it was deemed unsatisfactory start.
  6. Lindgren obviously impeded Janowksi, ref should have stopped then race there and then, would have if Janowski has fallen as most riders would. Berntzon was fourth best in the race, the point he can consider a bonus. For the record I don't think Poles are better in Poland necessarily, I think they are more likely to over think which line they take on Polish tracks where as outside Poland they stick to their instincts. We'll see in Malilla. By your theory Berntzon should do well.
  7. Better GP tonight. It looks like it's on between Laguta & Zmarzlik for the title, didn't think Laguta had it in him to be that forceful. Just don't think Laguta will be consistent enough. Referee decisions odd - Zmarzlik was in front of Fricke on the line... If the referee thought Lindgren impeded Janowski enough at the time why didn't he stop the race? I don't want VAR in Speedway! Doyle should have been excluded for taking out Swidnicki. And Lindgren for causing the Vaculik injury. Nice to see my favourite Polish reserve Swidnicki get an outing but surely Miskowiak is more worthy, or the other Lublin reserve, or the 16 year old at Leszno. Swidnicki is too inconsistent, showed what he could do before Doyle knobbled him. Thought he might get a point when against Kasprzak but over watered track he was never going to like.
  8. Zmarzlik £41 more Lambert £20 less Lindgren £30 less Might as well Double Money!
  9. Hans was second only to Crump that year, but wasn't a permanent GP rider. Only got a few chances due to Rickardsson retiring mid season.
  10. Didn't say that, just giving an example. Pretty sure there have been more. If you've watched Ekstraliga meetings from Lublin you couldn't have expected a classic. It's Poland's Kurkmanshulme Lane! Gdansk is far, far worse. Inconvenienced Gorzow is any better and it's hosted many a GP previously.
  11. There goes Janowski's world championship bid, no stopping Zmarzlik now.
  12. Where's the fun in that? Got to give your spreadsheet something more interesting than round numbers to work with, but OK if you insist.
  13. Lublin 1 Laguta £44 more Doyle £37 less Lindgren £49 more
  14. You're correct, Shanes & Morris were on the centre green for the penalty shootout.
  15. Batchelor did get away with a massive roller in heat 15.
  16. Wouldn't have said the crowd was any bigger tonight than it was on my two previous visits, the demoralizing opening night v/s Redcar and the visit of Glasgow but it is difficult to judge. Decent meeting made more interesting due to the Kings fightback and last heat decider but again dusty despite much tracotring and even a sprinkling of rain later on. Also seemed to be a bump on the inside of turn 1 early on. When I saw the lineups I thought Kent only need one of the bottom three to score a few points to win, one of the bottom three did turn up in Gilkes who looks a prospect but Heeps was poor until his final ride. For the Brummies. Castagna rode well, almost hit the fence in heat 2 but recovered to sneak past Giles for the win picked up more precious points and didn't stick to his favoured inside line as much as he usually does. Morris thwarted Nicholls well in heat 9 and sealed the win with third place in heat 15 but made a mistake in his first ride which cost him points needs a heat win! Harris looked peerless in his first 3 rides including an impressive backstraight blast past Batchelor in heat 11, but made no impression after missing the gate in heat 13. Thomas went from 1st to last in 3 laps of heat 12 - poor, Shanes was always in the mix but never gated, showed Morris how to pass Morley in heat 5. Riss was poor after a good opening win, just didn't have any speed, nothing like the rider who scorched to a 15 point maximum at Perry Barr for Redcar inn 2019, thought riding at 1 would suit him more than 5. Grobauer very much under the radar until his final ride. For Kent. Gilkes impressed without winning a heat, Batchelor was untouchable and quick in his final two rides, not the case earlier in the meeting - the red of Kent suits him more than the yellow, black & blue Tigers kevlars I've seen him in a few times. Expected more from Starke but 9 points is a decent return I guess. Morley & Mulford never looked like troubling the scorers really, Morley can count himself unlucky in heat 8 Gilkes and Castagna both drifted wide on turn 1 leaving him no room, should have been all 4 back. Nicholls was very hit & miss, poor opening ride, looked quick second ride, struggled to get the better of Shanes in third ride, again looked quick in heat 13 but then nowhere in the last heat decider. For Heeps see Grobauer, but he has enough experience to be better than he rode. Heat 12 was the best race of the night. Thomas gated, Starke blasted past him (which I was surprised he hadn't done when chasing Castagna & Grobauer earlier) as Shanes battled past Gilkes, Gilkes made the mistake of following Thomas on the curb as Shanes built up speed around the outside. Shanes past both, then Gilkes also got past Thomas as the Brummies reserve made a mistake before retiring.
  17. If there is one... BBC WM on BBC sounds app.

    Stars v Tigers 2/8/21

Another poor result for Stars, feel for the fans. Tigers should make the playoffs now.
  19. Still too old for Ekstraliga, could have just won the meeting for FZG. Sayfutdinov hasn't looked quick tonight,
