Meeting is not on TV, Eurosport covering Roland Garros ATM. There were very few tickets available in the Grand Stand centre sections when I looked this morning, couldn't get a aisle seat Potentially a great meeting.

World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023
Col replied to Monarchs2468's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Its a bit of an ordeal! After getting tickets for the first 3 events, I then reserved tickets for the final but had to wait about 4 hours for the first payment to clear. According to whoever is answering questions on Sparta Wroclaw's social media it is to avoid double payments. I've now paid for half the tickets for the final but now have to wait for that payment to clear before I can pay for the other half. -

Having been in Bydgoszcz for the race-off in 2014 & likewise Leszno in 2017 I'm pretty sure very few Polish fans are uninterested in attending if the Poles don't feature. -
Quite enjoyed the meeting but the camera angles were poor, don't recall it being that bad when watching meetings from Beaumont Park on TV previously. Strange decision to put Fricke on the inside gate 2 for heat 15, he'd been flying around the outside of everyone on turns 1 & 2 all night.

Enjoyed Leszno v Czestochowa. Some good racing but despite Kolodziej being head & shoulders above any other rider present the home team were well beaten. Don't get why most posters on this forum don't like Kolodziej, he's better to watch than most Poles. -
Belle Vue vs Wolves (KOC) 18/5/23

As a contest on aggregate scores it was over once Blodorn was missing, Aces might have made is a contest with just Brennan missing. I like Castagna from watching him at Perry Barr but I never thought I'd be shouting him on in the red, black & white of Belle Vue. Would be nice if Lidsey & Bewley weren't so good at gating. Masters was poor tonight. Most of the decent racing involved Wright. -

Oh Lidsey is riding & it's Blodorn missing, Linsey was at reserve when I last saw an Aces scorecard. Still no potential big scorer at reserve means no chance of aggregate win for Belle Vue, should do enough to win on the night. -

Blodorn can surely cover an R/R rude? Not that it will affect the aggregate result. Aces have no chance without Lidsey. -

As Wroclaw have won in Lublin & Torun, they could go unbeaten all season, I thought the title was between those. I thought the title was between those 3 teams. Didn't watch it, how come Zmarzlik score was so poor? -
Steve Worrall rides for Lokomotīve Daugavpils - so if he does have bikes in Europe they are probably in Latvia (home meeting v Gniezno this week). Haven't seen Richie on any Polish scorecard.

Very wet in Wolverhampton last two days. Met office predicting another downpour at 16:00, no sun, correct decision.

Just catching up with result. Big win for Wroclaw, didn't think any visiting team could win that big in Torun this year. Also thought Leszno may struggle, but clearly not. -
Of that list only Pedersen, Bewley, Lidsey & Jakobsen wouldn't be available as they're the Ekstraliga riders assuming they are riding in Eliteserien also. Bellego, Klindt, NKI are not riding in top tier of Polish Speedway so are unaffected by the change. You can add Fricke to that list, along with Sayfutdinov & Kasprzak assuming they're riding in the Swedish league. If Holder didn't compete in Eliteserien last year, so if he wanted to do that. There's another one. Yeah, I expected Fricke to kick on last year and be up there average wise with Doyle, that wasn't the case and both Zagar & Kurtz spent time as Aces #1 with a higher average than Fricke. Maybe not riding Ekstraliga last year had an affect. Fricke is back in Ekstraliga now but was poor the few heats of the meeting (Gorzow v Grudziądz) I watched on Tuesday. Totally agree there is nothing wrong with a 45-45 result with both teams getting a shared of the spoils, the "Super Heat" is just a gimmick that we don't need. Didn't anyone who attended last night feel they got extra value out of their evening as they had an extra heat?

Relegation six pointer. Could seriously do with an outside line developing. -

King was the surprise for me, does he always go that well at Beaumont Park? Strange choice to go for Fricke rather than Harris is heat 15? Fricke may need time to adjust to a new track but Morris doesn't have that excuse. -

Yeah, I can only echo what others have suggested, Witches to win more heats than Lions but duck eggs on the scorecard will be their achilles heel. Leicester 51 Ipswich 39. Fricke getting his first few competitive laps on his new home track Thursday will help him. -

Against Lublin? Lindgren rides for Lublin this year doesn't he?

They don't usually start the closures until 10:30, so if I attend a league match at the NSS which finishes by 9:20 I can usually beat them. But for that reason I won't be attending any televised meetings this season. -

I don't think he was under power as the tapes went up in the first running and he definitely exceeded the 1 minute! -

I enjoyed the meeting the highways agency soiled the night. M56 shut, can't get on M6 South off A56 so have to go up a junction to come back. If more than half the M6 South was more than 1 lane I'd be surprised. Gave up at Stoke and went on A roads. Be warned Aces fans in Manchester, M6 North looked worse! You're at Monmore next week. Congratulations to Doyle, despite hoping for a British winner. Harris is strange, resists Lambert then changes bikes to one which fails to get off the line. WTF? -
