no they are 15 and will be in the NL in 2017

    Cradley Heathens 2017

All NL matches and the rule is 16.2.8 - A NL rider, who is not in a NL Team declaration will be given an Established MA after completing 4 meetings, irrespective of being home or away

    Cradley Heathens 2017

Its not just about the number of matches for one team it is the season as a whole. Joe rode for a number of clubs including Stoke, Belle Vue and Buxton over the season in the 1-7 so should qualify to obtain a cma.

    Cradley Heathens 2017

Not true he had at least 15 meetings riding in the 1-7

    Cradley Heathens 2017

that's irrelevant the rule states that a rider with an assessed average will achieve a cma when they complete four meetings. Nothing to do with being declared in a team. This rule was brought in to prevent this exact situation happening.

    National Development League Agm

The AGM is the 13th December.

    National Development League Agm

Clubs have to declare their intentions to run at the AGM not before. Any new clubs have to be firstly approved by the BSPA and then voted on to be accepted into the league at the AGM.

    Your Team For 2017

There is a final set to come out, not sure when though.
  10. Can you advise when and which teams?

    Unfulfilled Fixtures

The BSPA can impose a fine on any team not completing their fixtures however the amount is discretionary.
  12. Teams are listed on the official Buxton website at www.buxtonhitmen.co. Ben Morley is in Australia.
  13. Not sure why you are so interested in our finances but the hard facts are that every year it is a struggle to make ends meet and ensure all of our bills are paid (which incidentally they are). Some years we have had a shortfall and we have had to find the money to make it up from our personal income. Some years we have a small amount left in cash or in the bank with which to start the next season off as there are plenty of bills even at NL level that need paying before the tapes go up. We have never been a rich club and never will be but with a lot of hard work and some help from our sponsors we have managed to stay afloat. This year we will have to find the money to repay the air fence loan as Buxton Speedway don't have it at this moment in time. We have also had to purchase a new tractor, all extra costs that the club could do without but have to meet to carry on.

    Eastbourne 2016

Become a promoter then you can check or alternatively ask one of your promoters to show you. I'm not in the habit of making things up and have far better things to do with my time and I didn't say the promoters guide didn't apply, I said that it had changed its name.

    Eastbourne 2016

Its in the rules and regulations book(formerly known as the promoters guide) which is issued to all promoters. Despite its title it is not the same as the speedway regulations (commonly known as the rule book) which is available to download via the SCB website.

    Eastbourne 2016

The official end of the speedway season is 31st October - that doesn't change from year to year although the official start date of the season may vary.

    Eastbourne 2016

It is actually in the rules and regulations that they are not held in season.
  18. It was never the intention to swap and change the team as much as we have this year. In fact I cannot remember a year where everything and anything has gone wrong. Steve Jones picked up a nasty knee injury at Birmingham and he was led to believe that he may need an operation to correct the damage caused, hence why he has not been riding. He tried to make a comeback but only lasted one race before he had to admit defeat. He has now been told that he doesn't require an op (good news for a change) and was looking to race again. However, the deadline for making changes had passed and who do you take out without making matters worse and is it fair to drop a rider who has ridden in the majority of meetings just for a few matches at the end? We then lost Jade Mudgway after his nasty crash at Eastbourne ended his speedway days. Next up was Ollie Greenwood who decided he had been knocked off once too many times at Kent and promptly quit racing. How do you replace these riders when there is no one sat on the sidelines of their calibre? I don't have a magic wand and yes bringing riders out of retirement isn't ideal or really how we want to run things at Buxton but those riders have kept us on track and done their best in difficult circumstances. The other option was to give up ourselves which has been tempting at times but we made a commitment to the league this year and we will see it out despite everything that has been thrown at us. If we are still here next year the team will have to be very different and our aim is to get back to what Buxton was originally set up for - to develop riders. News to me - perhaps you should ask the right people. We have tried practice sessions over the years and not enough riders turn up to make it worthwhile (we do have to pay the bills) so it is easier for us to rent the track out and leave someone else with the headache of making it balance the books. Yes the track is available for use on pretty much any day but unfortunately Buxton Speedway does not pay our personal bills hence why we have to work which impacts on how often we are available to run extra activities. We just don't have enough assistance to do these things alongside our other commitments.
  19. The raffle number was 7308 and was claimed by Norman a long time Buxton/Belle Vue supporter.

Champions V Cradley Play Off 1st Leg

The wording isn't great but it means that rider cannot guest as a NL rider in the PL. Doesn't effect guesting in the NL at all.

Champions V Cradley Play Off 1st Leg

Not true that means he cant guest in the PL as a 3pt NL rider.
  24. A rider may be missing for any reason in the NL. Not sure how Eastbourne managed to use R/R at 1 and have a guest for Cottham though as it should have been the other way around. (same for Cov with Davey and Greenwood).
