  1. Belle Vue “Can we sign a number one even though he doesn’t want to do all the away meetings?” Cartel “No” Kings Lynn “Can we sign a number one even though he doesn’t want to do all the away meetings?” Cartel “Yes” Don’t agree with it btw.
  2. Whilst we might like the “subs on the bench” idea as apposed to the guest system, it’s just not going to happen. The powers that be rewrote the rule book to stop it when teams are faced with injuries, at a time when the sport in this country gets its greatest exposure. It’s also evident, given posts on the subject that BSF are dead against the idea and prefer guests.
  3. Night night everyone. This has made for an early night for me. Yawn ZZZZzz. One thing speedway does have to market is it’s insomnia curing ability.
  4. Apart from one track, speedway races are three laps too many. Should be one lap dash as after bend three, that’s it.
  5. ZZZzzz Speedway is the real ZZZzzz winner here ZZZzzz. Even better they are showing heats from WOLVERHAMPTON!! FFS.
  6. If Andersen, Cook, Worrall, Basso, Iversen and Jenkins can bag 35 between then like last time and Vadim gets the 12 he scored against us at the NSS then it might not be as cut and dried as people are thinking. Since then they’ve only won and suffered a narrow defeat at home and that due to IRR for Basso. I think we’ll get the bonus *apologies to the forum for using factual past performance data as an indicator towards expected performance.
  7. Yawn - This is 21st century speedway - yawn - apart from the odd track - yawn. British gating - yawn - league, very tedious and - yawn - sad. I use to - yawn - count sheep to get to sleep. ZZZZzzzzzz

    Leicester v Sheffield

Steve Worrall was excluded whilst gardening as the in field clock counted out. He was representing the Aces at the time so it may not be a rule and just SCB having a laugh with us again.

    Admission costs

Me, the Mrs, eldest (15yrs), youngest, (11yrs) who both bring their mates is £44 for the six of us at the NSS.
  10. UNFORTUNATELY we have just been informed that due to significant damage to the water pipe, near our pit gate, we will be unable to safely run the speedway event on Thursday evening. It was hoped replacement parts for the pipe would be with us after several massive hits from Bank Holiday Monday’s stock car event. However, these parts will now not be with us until Friday morning.Belle Vue are disappointed to have to postpone the meeting against Poole, but with rider and public safety always the most important thing, we have had no option but to inform the speedway promotion of the situation.A new date will be released as soon as possible.
  11. Of the riders currently competing in the top tier this year, Max is third in the averages to Jason Doyle and Dan. He finished third last year and then he was only 0.06 behind Holder. There were only six riders that won a GP last season and Max was one of them when he won his second GP in Warsaw.

    Belle Vue 2023

Are we going to get the final averages as in other years or are we going with the cartel figures? If anyone should know it will be the BSF sheep than slavishly follow the cartels every whim without question. “Your gonna reap just what you sow”

    Belle Vue 2023

Christ, what are you on about. He replaced Max, you know (probably not) this years Warsaw GP winner and world pairs champ who missed the Torun GP (which he had won before) due to his injuries. Even if Robert had been at Kings Lynn then he would have b***ered off after FOUR meetings not three due to the late stage of season. Why talk such BS as you make yourself look a complete d***? Thick as……..

    Belle Vue 2023

Simon, Jake, MPT & Robert weren’t there but thanks were given for their assistance when required for our injury woes.

    Kings Lynn 2023

Or 2018 in the case of some and these will hang over into next season. 2018-2023 crazy but cartel backed. Also if it’s true about the last meeting not counting towards averages, what’s all that about aside from cartel supreme wanting it? A normal fixture ran during the season but not counting. That’s a difficult sell even for BSF.

  17. Agree absolutely and the fact Belle Vue capitulated to Stars request to keep schtum is a disgrace. Are we part of the cartel now? Wonder what reciprocal back scratch we’re entitled to now. Grim.
  18. I’m really not happy with the way Belle Vue have reverted to type and just lay down and had their belly tickled by the cartel. They should have made Robert ride or taken action if not but the old doctors note trick is played. Going along with the muzzling about his absence isn’t good but we’ve had a few telling offs for posting honesty on social media and I guess they didn’t want to feel the wrath of the BSPL/BSF cartel who went into overdrive when there was money to be (duped) made from the long suffering fans. With all clubs being able to make use of the Polish deal sorted earlier this year (and not just Belle Vue) I see several returning and Roberts low average will fit nicely at Lynn. On an equally low average confusingly is Jakobsen at 5.04. Had the rules been followed re rolling averages it would have increased considerably. TBH quite why he is allowed to use meetings from 2018 for his 2023 average is beyond me but the cartel get what the cartel want and bugger us, the rules and their rivals. Sad.
  19. So you’re saying we’d have dropped Max for Robert if he had not sustained his multiple injuries?
  20. If your referring to Robert, what do you think we pay World Pairs champion, GP gold medalist and GP regular Max Fricke, buttons?

    Shame on Sheffield

Refreshing to hear several Sheffield fans on this and other threads detailing the lack of availability at Owlerton. Shame Bates couldn’t have been more honest pre season. At least now we know it’s impossible to get all top flight competitions completed at Sheffield and second division speedway is the only option for them as it affords greater scope for rider availability. I can’t see Bates putting the league through this again even with his immense self interest, the integrity of the sport should, you’d hope be uppermost in his mind.

    Shame on Sheffield

    Chalk & cheese promotions.
  23. Both him and Robert won’t be lining up for this one if they are Kings Lynn bound next year.
  24. Not one. If you include awarded heats I’ve seen then it’s 347.
