I seem to recall a Polish rider who had the potential for 23 meetings but surprisingly missed 12 and went into the play-offs still on an assessed average so still riding as a reserve. He scored 26+2 from 11 rides in the play-off final
And it’s only Poole that “cheat”....allegedly!!!

Seasons nearly here and still this is in the wrong section

Perhaps Kevin Smith and Stan Bear are coming out of retirement?

The story going round when he first rode for Poole was, He rode in a Grasstrack meeting in the afternoon and came off, landing in a cowpat....He then rode a Speedway meeting in the evening wearing the same unwashed leathers....hence the name “Smelly Smith”

I’m pretty sure Elkins won most if not all of their match races......But we know who went on to be the better rider

Why is this still in the Premiership section??

I think they rode demonstration races during the interval against one another in 89 or 90 as they were only 14 or 15 at the time?

If you mean Piotr Protasiewicz....He was signed from Peterborough at the same time as Ryan Sullivan.

Think young Woffinden at no. 7 might struggle a bit to start with, but once he finds his feet he’ll do ok

Hopefully it'll only be one season at that level and they'll return here without causing too much damage this time, bearing in mind they were the club that destroyed the 1970/80s National League with a disastrous merger under the "Stewkesbury Plan". Shame to see them polluting the atmosphere of a competitive but ultimately friendly league.
The ‘Stewkesbury’ plan was 1991

It couldn’t possibly be the current Swindon team manager.......

Surprised the next signing wasn’t announced at the Stadium last night?

I stand by my point however tho what that has to do with Wolves is baffling.
Wolves have in general been loyal to riders which is a different position to Poole anyway. But feel free naming riders that got better when leaving Wolves to make your point. I’ll even start you with one, Musielak.
And you are still trying to defend that dreadful track?? Good luck championship fans, welcome to the world of the blue tints.
Doyle was 21 when he first rode for Poole.....A real OAP...What was Matt Ford thinking signing an old fogey like that!!

This idea was first used in the mid to late eighties by all southern teams.

Don’t have to ride for Poole (or anyone else ) to be an asset.Poole still own him as Belle Vue never paid the transfer fee to buy him from them in about 2008.
He last rode for Poole in 2007.
