Kings Lynn Young Stars Vs American Touring Team
Sandie replied to SteveEvans's topic in National League Speedway
Luckily my journey was a bit shorter - got in at 12.45am. And I agree, a good night for the tourists. Lots of names to watch for there. Disappointed with Eddie Castro though.................................... We didn't have a 15 metre start!!!! Michael Raines looked VERY sharp - at the moment the one one to watch. Rocco looked like he could turn a bike, but unfortunately it seemed to be 'upside down' last night. Tuff McBride showed a lot of guts and the other lads (Green, Novratil, Buman and Thomas) all looked like they were out there to get some points. A brilliant first meeting of our tour, yes we lost but we came away with a huge amount of pride. And even though the Race Jacket didn't auction very well last night (very poor in fact), the generosity of the fans on the bucket walk was superb. I wonder if the people of Redcar would be kind enough to just use the paper type of money tight, that way my arm wont ache as much!!! -

I know Im no match but my strange team and I will be there tonight with our USA Touring Team Goodies. Looking forward to seeing a large crowd tonight, Lets show the Yanks that the Brits can come out in force and support EVERYOINE. -
...........and falling asleep at the tables in the bar whilst watching the Elite League Final. Oh and Mr Evans - I thought you were joking about going up against the Bees at Leicester. Until, that is, that someone invited me to an 'event' on facebook!!! We must be making an impact - Buxton and an American special AND the Bees now wanting to be part of the tour. The only thing left now is to have an actual full meeting at Brandon. Life then, will be complete for me!!!

Kings Lynn Young Stars Vs American Touring Team
Sandie replied to SteveEvans's topic in National League Speedway
Looking at that press release there are a couple of small errors. The only one worth pointing out though is that Robbie Sauer is now not touring with us this year and either Tuff McBride or Chris Thomas will be named as our number 8. Normally it takes us a couple of meetings to get dialled in but as the boys will be practicing on the track in the afternoon I expect them to be ready and willing to take on any challenge thrown at them. Kings Lynn Fans know how to turn out in their numbers so I hope to see a large crowd cheering on both teams. And as a quick plug - we will be selling our normal touring team goodies - mugs, pin badges, pens, programme boards etc and doing our normal bucket collection to help fund the tour. Please bring along some loose change or coloured pieces of paper with you. See you all on Wednesday evening -
What do you now that we don't Steve (both of you!)????

I know Rory had been invited but not in that list - but he is very doubtful for anything else this week with his hand injury! (No it was broken before he went to Sweden!!!!) -

Not really been following the line up for this meeting but with so many fixtures off in Sweden today and being re-run tomorrow night, how badly is this going to affect Davey's meeting. Hope he doesn't loose to many from his line up. -
This was posted on Facebook today by Mateusz - Those of you coming to Poland for the Speedway Grand Prix in Toruń this weekend: get ready for heat (32* in the shade on Friday) and probably a 48 hour, general strike at the Polish railway - over half of the services, mostly trains doing short distances like Bydgoszcz-Toruń, may not be running (and this is going to be confirmed tomorrow...). Other than that, it should be fun as always Just for your infoi guys. Wish I was going to be there. Great time last year. Maybe next

Just working out average age - If you take the whole 8 riders the average age is 25.8!! Take out Eddie and Robbie and it comes down to 18.6 years!! This is what the tour is about - getting the youngsters noticed.
-
Well it looks like Kasperzak is getting off scott free and it appears no charges are being made and he is riding at Birmingham tonight. Based on that Ed only had tampered equipment in 1 meeting as nothing else can be proven. So a very small ban then, based on Masden previous treatment and KK's current situation.
-
agreed and I was in attendance.
-
Just to burst your bubble Steve - Ed started the season on Prodrive and subsequently changed to King. I don't know when but I'm sure you can find out! I hope you had enough tissues at hand when you read about this Steve - the pleasure it must of given you must have been overwhelming!
-
And I was thinking that Prodrive and King need to give their names to the BSPA and that their bikes checked at their next meetings? Im sure delivery can be delayed by a day or two!!! Same as more drugs and alcohol tests should be done at tracks. Lets start to get our house in order.

Can someone clear up how the Masden situation was dealt with last year. Was it proven, was he suspended and how does it compare to the Kennett situation. Kennett is guilty as has been proven this morning and I doubt he will protest the ban. BUT the question is - Did he do it knowingly? Was he aware of the tampering, can a well constructed silencer show its been tampered with or not? He changed from Prodive to King I understand but I'm not sure when and do all riders buy new or do some use 2nd hand or borrowed silencers? Could this be a reason? I'm clutching at straws here, but I find it hard to believe that Ed was aware of this. Why go out and get a maximum? Surely that is just raising suspicion, although it was his gating that got him out there in the first place. And why lend Nick his bike? Not everything adds up here and I feel sorry for Ed and his team.
