Do I need suggestions to back up my point, I am just saying surely we are more ambitious than signing Paco, The reason we got left behind for so many years was due to poor signings while other clubs showed ambition !

This is more like it, everybody will have different ideas of course as to how they think Speedway can be improved but radical is needed now and not the same old same old with little things getting changed that have no effect on improving situation.

End of day something has to be done and this could work if all promoters just finally go radical and realise any idea even if not this one could be better for the future, we cant keep saying what if what if what if ! Life is full of compromises and promoters have to view the bigger picture and hope it benefits speedway in this country as a whole. And I disagree when you say you wouldn't get that superbowl style finale, teams battling it out to finish top of their respective region and pick up north & south title go head to head over two legs to decide british league title or whatever name can be decided for it, I am sure some marketing person at Sky/BSPA could come up with something which can be sold over the season. Come on promoters even if not this sort of system be radical and stop tinkering, speedway has to be sold to the public and the current set up doesn't inspire regular fans now so what chance have we got of getting new fans in, this system with great promoting and a well run professional meeting would be great for fans and sure the promoters could well see more money coming in. Go big or go home !!

Teams would still change as they do now, it is not a two year system ! All it is that if Sheffield (North) face Somerset (South) at the Oak Tree in 2016 then in 2017 Somerset would visit Sheffield, it is quite a simple system. Cut of point you work from the top on map until you have your 12 for north then the 12 teams or whatever amount into south. It could at least be tried and i know the next argument, not enough riders blah blah blah ! Reduce teams to 6 man teams or whatever. Let's finally be radical and stop making crappy little changes every year like they do and create a real game changer, get sky sports on board who would have more variety of meetings with one hell of a superbowl finale of the speedway season, they could market that and hype it up good style.

Did you not read it fully, you will not be seeing same teams and riders every few weeks at your track ! If you used all current elite and premier plus 2 like Birmingham & Eastbourne moving up then that would be 24 teams so 12 in both north and south, you face teams in your region twice home and away and you would face each team from other region once either home or away and if you went to there track one year, they would come to to your track year after. You would still get variety but also a better league system for teams and hopefully cut costs for travelling fans/riders etc And if people are scared of change then keep things as they are and lets all watch speedway die a slow and painful death because clearly things as they stand are not working.

The main problem for speedway is the lack of value for money and that even annoys us who go regular so there is no way of convincing newbies. You don't mind the obvious delay for a crash where ambulance is needed and air fence needs to be repaired but fans need to be updated constantly, way to often your just stood around waiting with next to no information, meetings go on for far to long and another reason for this is heats getting restarted over and over again for riders guessing, if nobody touches the tapes then let them go simple as that because the delays are hurting the sport more than a rider getting jump on his rivals. We need to restructure the whole league system, I would merge the Elite & Premier and turn it into a north/south split ! The teams in same region would face each other home and away twice and face each of the teams in other region once either home or away, the season after if say Sheffield in north travelled to Somerset in south region then Somerset would be the visitors the year after and at the end of it all the north and south top team would get a trophy for winning their region and then would face each other for the overall title, similar to the NFL set up. More schemes need to be set up for the kids to get them excited to want to come back week after but don't ignore adults, I would suggest all promoters check out an ice hockey game, I go to Sheffield Steelers in winter months when there is no speedway and amount of newbies I witness and young kids are desperate to return, the players make themselves available for signings & photos and toss the puck to kids when make there way to changing room. Just more effort needs to be done all round and not just advertising but making the evening a special one for everyone. Mascot on interval to fire t-shirts into crowd or flags, riders available before every meeting between 18:15 & 18:45 for signatures and photos. Also remove all tactical subs, reserve switches and double points, just all riders having 4 rides and see which team is best ! Have a number 8 to cover any rider been took out of meeting due to injury or illness.

I think in current climate where fans who tend to only bother with proper Tigers meetings and big events like myself then you can't blame promoters for saving money by not running a pointless meeting, there would have been an end of season meeting but if they couldn't secure a field worthy enough to drag fans in then no point running a meeting for sake of it and losing money. It has been a great 2015 for us even with all injuries and pride has certainly been restored down at Owlerton and only reason we had so many blank weeks was due to no rain off all season which hardly ever happens. In 2016 hopefully we can build on this year and have a bit more luck on injury front and go all out for the title, Stead, Bates & Garrity would be the 3 I definitely want to see return, maybe Ty Proctor and Taylor Poole could come back into the fold if things go well down under for them both enabling a return and then see what is left.

I would prefer the Rugby League System of the team who finishes top gets the League Leaders Shield, then obviously crack on with Elite Playoffs for the usual Elite League Champions. In Premier League it is a mess because still have KO Cup to be decided and the League Cup, which means could be lucky to get all playoff meetings done by end of October, not ideal !

Be great if it is coming out on PS4 & Xbox One They have been ok games in the past so hopefully with a bit of a break since previous game and now that it is much improved.

Have loved watching Brady and Cookie step in for us over season but I am glad we will have a full team ready for playoffs and if everyone clicks we could be a dark horse for title.

I would like to go at a different angle, Are riders over working themselves? They ride every other night and often flying between different countries, and how often do they say they are tired. Tai Woffinden seems a lot happier this year with his lesser workload. When tired your decision making is not what it should be and that moment on track could be realising you need to shut off to avoid a crash instead of carrying on with a risky move which will more than likely end in a bad crash. I understand they need to earn there money and this is why they race more than likely to much but surely there are limits, maybe it needs FIM to step in with a maximum of 3 meetings a week.

Aarnio would be a good shout and as you say keep using guests for Stead.

Is there any riders available, with Stead and Birks combined average could get two 8+ riders into team but I doubt there is anybody.

Team on a high at moment so hopefully we can keep things close and set up a brilliant second leg at Owlerton next month.

I don't think the straights have to be made shorter, just stick some serious banking on the bends like Glasgow and chop some of the infield out to make a more rounded inside line, the track would be awesome then i think. Leicester deserved their win last night and bet Rosco can't wait to make the required changes.

I doubt it is a sensible option for a promotion to call a meeting off just because you need guests ! A meeting wouldn't be run all season if that was to become the normal way of doing things. Anyway i am looking forward to this one as missed last couple of meetings due to work and when i have been able to go there has been no meeting. Will go for a 15 point win to the mighty Tigers.

Nobody can say it was acceptable but you have to say that you can understand why it occurred in heat of the moment !!!! I don't think you can lose all respect for Greg because of one incident unlike Nicki who is guilty of bad incidents over and over again. Greg is definitely not boring on track and seen him have many entertaining races and as you pointed out the night Harris won was one of them.

Been much worse fights in speedway and no ban issued, just a fine on night and all is forgotten hopefully !

So you class entertainment as one rider sticking another into a fence. Glad we have cleared it all up ! If you think riders only do it for themselves then you are sadly mistaken, it is there job yes but they of course love to put on a show as well. Greg is respected simple as, Nicki unless he cleans up his riding will not be !
