    The Dilemma Of Greg Hancock

It was a heat of moment reaction, it will happen ! The main problem is Nicki getting away with putting riders into fence over and over again. Accidents happen in Speedway it is the sad nature of the sport but Nicki is a regular and he clearly thinks it is ok !

    The Dilemma Of Greg Hancock

Millions good one, if only speedway was that popular !
  3. Lasse Bjerre confirmed as guest, good guest if rides like he did for Redcar against us in League Cup.

    The Dilemma Of Greg Hancock

Not the worst move Nicki Pedersen has done but he is a dirty rider and finally somebody took him to task and wanted to have a scrap, it creates drama and that is something this sport needs at moment, remind me to never suggest going to an ice hockey game you would want all players banned all season ! Let them get it out of system and move on as they do in Ice Hockey !

    Referees

Referees like in any other sport need to be given complete control, if they can see the racing is not what it should be due to weather and dodgy track then they should call it off without fear. Referee should be considering rider safety and the image of the sport at same time, decisions need taking out of riders, managers and promoters hands !
  6. like most teams in speedway lol always negative !
  7. Should be a quality meeting this, forecast good and two evenly matched teams !

Scrap The Controversial Heat 10 Rule!

I would say 10 heats means fans have to pay again (discounted entry) if meeting is re run in future, 12 heats must be run to declare a result !

    Coventry V Poole 1/6/15

I think main problem last night is officials not standing up to sky sports speedway team and just saying sorry this is not Speedway and should not continue. I thought up to heat 6 things were going ok but then the track was just getting worse and racing was non existent from then on ! Hardly any fans were there for obvious reasons so why not just call it off and come back on another day for a dry meeting and bigger crowd. All last night did was make speedway look a complete shambles yet again and anybody new tuning in would have just switched off and never give it another go or visit local track. Poor advert for the sport and another case of no common sense or promoters wanting to work together in good of the sport. Poole to be fair did a good job last night and of course they wanted to carry on and claim the win after heat 10 and if other way round Coventry would have done same but i hope in future promoters from both sides just say this isn't what speedway is about lets come back another day and put on the product fans are paying to see.

    Craig Cook - Where Now?

I think as a rider he has the ability to be a top rider in Elite League, but maybe it is just the money issue of trying to keep up with top boys in elite league and Cook might just think he is making a tidy living racing at the top of premier league and doesn't need to risk everything money wise and maybe stop enjoying sport at same time. I think some fans need to just lighten up and let Cook manage his career and expectations.
  11. Good result in end but main thing was no injuries ! Bring on Glasgow on Thursday and the return of Andre Compton and David Bellego !

    Speedway Star - Sgp Coverage

I will always prefer the paper edition, doesn't need charging up ! can read it at timing points on bus ! I am very much old school when it comes to reading magazines and books ! I have the option to subscribe online but i just prefer to have paper edition. It is a good magazine and i think coverage of GP's is more than enough !

    Sheffield 2015

Great to have Bellego back next week and Garrity in for rest of season, if continue to pick right guests for Stead then we definitely have a good chance of making playoffs.
  14. Was a good meeting to watch as a neutral, doesn't happen often with meetings on Sky Sports. Swindon did well early on to keep scores tight as Coventry were looking good and should have really extended lead, i can understand why ref excluded Garrity but could have gone either way and had to laugh at Havelock having his everyone against us rant. Overall i think a draw would have been fair but fair play to Swindon for getting win and Bees grabbing a point. Move of the night had to be cut back by Howarth !
  15. Looking forward this meeting, will go for a 46-44 win to Swindon.

    Promotion / Relegation

The only way i can see speedway benefiting in long term is both Elite & Premier League merging. I would create a north/south divide, you would face the teams in your region home and away but would also face the other region teams only once either home or away, if you faced the other region team at home this season then you would travel to their place season after. At end of season you would have your north champions v south champions for British title. Simple to run and organize and if rider numbers is short then alter it to 6 man teams or whatever but this i believe would be a big improvement for British Speedway.

    Lewis Bridger

If Lewis Bridger does ever intend to come back or if any team will take a risk with him then what he needs to do is start at Premier League level, a little less pressure and come back with a professional attitude armed with bikes etc He has great potential, just needs to sort his head out ! If he thinks he is done with Speedway for good then fair enough but don't keep messing teams about even if never intended to, it comes across very bad on his part.
  18. Riders now meant to go back straight to tapes for a re run. Meeting started late enough for some reason and heat one just took forever, if there is movement allow rider to settle then it saves messing about ! Kus missed two minutes but was allowed to race, clock on back straight very handy ! Some delays were unavoidable like the 2 crashes and a rider going out twice in a row but rest of meeting just seemed to drag ! Starting on time would be a good start and that was maybe promotion, don't advertise half 7 if it isn't going to be.
  19. Was good to get the win last night on a track which certainly did not suit us and certainly evened things up a bit ! Heat 13 was as others say worth the admission money alone, reminded me of a battle between Sean Wilson & Bjarne Pedersen years ago. Josh Bates was daft and needs to calm down a tad at times. Other than a crap ref, track ruined by weather and stock cars the meeting was ok ! Late start was a bit annoying also.
  20. We saw a bit of F2 Speedway on Ricky's Big Day and it was not a great advert, whether if that was bikes or riders i don't know but it was poor !
  21. Watched this meeting and what a performance by Lambert, he has a great future for sure. Kings Lynn were always going to run out easy winners in this meeting and Sky Sports need to choose better meetings, big track v small track only going to go one way and it ended up being a poor meeting to watch.
  22. Looking forward to watching this later on sky, Could be a close meeting but think Stars to win by 10.
  23. Hopefully the weather forecast improves, If on i think another 20 point win could be on cards !
  24. Great opening performance by the Tigers, one of best i have seen in years ! We do look very strong outfit around Owlerton and hopefully we can go unbeaten this season at home. Simon Stead - Starting the season in style and looking unbeatable around Owlerton ! Andre Compton - Great to see him starting the season well, his partnership with Stead in heat 1 will always give us a good start to meeting. Ashley Birks - Solid performance from Ash and will no doubt improve more. Ty Proctor - Good start, plenty more to come i think. David Bellego - Great to see him blasting around Owlerton for us, just one mistake in heat 13 allowing Auty easy run around outside and that was it. Josh Bates - Postive start and his style much better compared to last season, trip down under done him world of good. Arthur Sissis - Didn't get the points his effort deserved, once he works out the line around bend 1 & 2 then he will do well, scrubbed a lot of speed off in middle of 1 & 2.
  25. With Air Fence now in place at every track riders do try more risky moves which i am sure many appreciate but with that risk comes reward but also bad injuries and more of them. I don't think the bikes are the problem, yes they are quick but more often than not it is the rider trying way to hard and get all out of shape and often it is the same riders getting injured over and over.
