    2023 Playoffs

Belle Vue and the 4 other teams will be lucky if they cobble a league togther to ride in. Averages the smallest of considerations at the moment.
  2. Careful, you'll confuse the Monmore haters.
  3. Strangley I agree with you. It's the American idea that there should be no such thing as a draw. On the other hand I am sure some fans have enjoyed getting another heat thrown in for 'free'.

    2023 Playoffs

Agree Belle Vue must be odds on favourites. Tigers have lost Tai, Wolves and Leicester inconsistent.
  5. Make your mine up ! You say Wolves have gained farcical points through the superheat but then are happy that they came up short via the exact same system !

    Sheffield Tigers 2023

Any rider who has talent has no problem with Monmore Green starting with Doyle and Sayfutdinov downwards. Throttle bashers e.g. Bewley will never "get it".Regarding the track, when Doc Bridgett was doing the track we won track of the year something like 3 years out of 4. The racing was superb, a very big loss to Wolves when Bridgett had to finish, he was absolutely key.
  7. Why ? If teams are the same next time, then your forecast should stand ?
  8. Go out anyway and get a table for 1. Shouldn't be a new experience.
  9. An old friend of mine every week used to go to Wolves Friday, Cradley Saturday, Birmingham Monday. Somewhere in the region of 90 meetings in the year and probably no more than 15 miles to the furthest track !
  10. Were you at the match? If not how did you hear it ?

    Wolves 2023

Trying to get my head round this. The only conniving I can see is if Entain have agreed to sell Monmore Green to the Council, who then demolish it to build their larger facilty. Otherwise if there is no change to Monmore Green stadium then it's as you were ?
  12. Just looking forward to seeing Sayfutdinov and Doyle ride, class riders both. From a Wolves perspective the match will be difficult because of these two, but I think we just about have enough in hand to get the win. Having said we have been a little shaky at home in recent matches, so no complacency please Wolves.
  13. Teams from the Wolves site:- PARRYS INTERNATIONAL WOLVES: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Richie Worrall, Craig Cook, Richard Lawson, Jake Allen, Drew Kemp. Wolves behind from the 1st 'leg' for the bonus point 41-49
  14. Nonsense. I stand directly in line with the starting gate. Heat 15 was one of the best ever starts I have seen. Schlein did not move a consensus shared by the fans around me.
  15. Quite clearly Wolves lucky to "win" the meeting. Anybody know what happened to Fricke in the superheat ?
  16. He was good at MG when with the Aces, but that was some time ago now...........................................
  17. Wolves site saying first match 4th May Leicester 49 v Wolves 41. The R2 fixure Wolves v Leicester is scheduled for 4th September.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Well and truly have done that.

    Lions v Witches 31st July

Doyle's modus operandi is to disappear into the distance. That is not to say I don't enjoy watching him ride, he's brilliant !
  20. Beowulf

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Well obviously it would be great if both teams xame to thetapes in 2024. In Wolves case, at the moment, doesn't look likely.

    Lions v Witches 31st July

Bomber is now officially "past it". It comes to every rider eventually, sadly.
  22. Beowulf

    Peterborough v Wolves 31/7

Shame really. He had 1 season with Wolves when I think we finished bottom of the league. But I really enjoyed watching him ride, great style and exciting.Had a soft spot for him since then. Still the track record holder.
  23. Beowulf

    Peterborough v Wolves 31/7

Incedible to think that Leon Flint Wolves lowest scorer, in terms of race points alone, was only outscored by Panthers B.Cook and Tarasenko. Madness.
  24. Beowulf

    Peterborough v Wolves 31/7

And to be fair, dramatically so.
  25. Beowulf

    Peterborough v Wolves 31/7

Ben Cook looking better at the moment.
